I found everything that just recently happened with Dan Hurley a little bit confusing you’re going to offer him less than Monty Williams that’s what the Lakers offer is when the coaching salaries have exploded your offer to try and get the two-time champion seismic H we’re going to replace LeBron with leadership watch what we do here with coaching the next step is Dan Hurley’s going to show us the way we’re going to do it with a coach you’re going to pay him less than Monty Williams he would have been had he accepted the offer the eighth highest paid coach in the NBA it tells me Dan that the Lakers for whatever reason uh never really wanted him to be the head coach because if you really wanted him to be the head coach and you want him to move away from an area of the country where he has spent his entire life and really has given no indication he’s ever going to leave that area of the country then you make him the offer that WJ originally reported which was north of 100 million I think that Dan Hurley had no intention whatsoever of ever leaving

What a dumb take. Overpay for a head coach. Just because other coaches make more doesn't mean the Lakers should pay that. Maybe if you're getting one of the best coaches in the league like Spo or Pop. Not some college guy who hasn't proven anything in the NBA.
Replace Lebron with leadership? If the Lakers tried leadership, they would find themselves having to replace Lebron. The Lakers were never going to sign Hurley because Hurley coaching the Lakers was Lebron’s idea or desire. I don’t care who broke the story of Hurley coaching the Lakers because that story ws never going to be reality. Anybody who believes that anybody other than whomever Lebron wants as his coach is going to coach the Lakers isn’t dealing in reality.
It's confusing because you never watch sports or know how Basketball works
