I think that has been a common name on this sub but I think you are also underselling the difficulty of getting him. Carter was playing good minutes in the playoffs for them (more than Isaac, M.Wagner, Bitadze). They also have no use for Giddey and while sure picks are nice they are probably in a similar situation to the Thunder where they had a season that is ahead of schedule and they want to capitalise. Not saying he would be impossible to get by any means but I think it could cost more than you think

He’s a good Jokic defender too

My question is why does 100% of the trades involve Giddey Lmao

I would really like him actually. But Isaac is the most injury prone guy this side of lonzo and Ben Simmons and tbh I’m not even sure he’s better in terms of durability.
Think he’d be great as a naz Reid type guy who can both play alongside chet for stretches and also as a backup.
I just really doubt magic would give up a good backup big who just turned 25 and was part of their playoff rotation. I’d even give up like a first and dieng or Kenny and j will plus a 2nd or 2 but not sure that’ll be enough.

I really like WCJ, but I don’t think he’s going to last long in a season. You can disagree with the sentiment but I have a strong reason for it. He played 60+ (62)games once and more than 50 games twice, in his 7 year career. So to trade picks for him would be a bit of a hold up for me. I also don’t think the Magic would want Giddey due to the fact that one of their team’s major concern being that they are bad at shooting/shot creation. Giddey is more of a connective playmaker who needs to grow stronger, train hard to get more agile and learn to process the offense faster in order to be a better defender while also being able to hit an open 3 at a higher rate(which is more realistic than defense and athleticism tbh)

If we trade Giddey, I would want it to be for someone we intemd to start. I think anything less would be underselling Giddey

He’s up for extension in 2 years, was outplayed by goga/mo Wagner for good portions, and is very injury prone. The price tag it would take to get him, I’d rather use those to trade up in the draft or on someone like Jarrett Allen.
If Orlando really valued someone like Isaiah Joe and would do him plus a few second rounders? That’s someone I would be much more on board with. It would be us selling high, buying a little low, and filling needs for both teams for anyone who flat out declares this trade is to one sided for either team.
