No, we were irrelevant! The Celtics won it this year in the way I’d wish we had won it when we were the best team in the league. They were distinctively better than the competition from the first day till the end. It wasn’t even close at any moment of their journey.
I was rooting for the Mavs in the Finals, and I still am but if the Celtics close it in the next 2 games we’ll have to admit that this was one of the cleanest championships of the last decade and they deserve their flowers.
And if we want to be honest Jrue was just a replacement for Marcus Smart who could have done exactly the same job. Maybe a little better maybe a little worse but not that much that it would matter. Porzingis was the trade that made some difference in their roster.
