Not with his injury history. Doesn’t matter how good someone is if they can’t stay on the court.

Dray and Jimmy would butt heads but its ultimately for winning. I don’t see a KD situation happening since Dray got pissed at KD cuz he had one foot out the door. In fact, I see Jimmy a positive for the locker room since Dray will have a guy who will call his shit out and do something about it.

As for Jimmy’s health, yeah that’s a concern.

On court fit it seems great, but if he winds up injured on a big extension it could waste the remainder of Steph’s production.

  4. is it possible we pickup cp3’s contract and trade/package him? not sure if that’s possible, if anyone has insight, feel free to chime in

  5. > I think it’s a fit on paper

It really isn’t though lol like *at all* 😂

  6. If we go get Jimmy Buckets how do we also fix the front court?

  7. Cheap-Bed1892

Jimmy is truly one of the most overrated players of the past 5 years. If this FO gets another below average shooter, imma lose my mind

  8. Jimmy is a great player and would improve any team he plays for. He’s solidly placed in the tier 2 level talent of players which is only behind the tier 1 guys that have won MVP awards. Butler is that good but not the guy we should go after. Lacob is a big time owner with big time goals and we there’s no settling for anything less than an MVP candidate for the next signing.

Jimmy can win us games by himself. Right now we have one person that can do that. Nobody is ever good enough for this team which is hysterical cuz we truly are mid right now.

  10. CP3, Moody, GP2. Add picks. No more, no less.

I ain’t giving up Podz or JK for him.

  11. Jimmy would be amazing if they could get him for just picks and one of moody/podz/jk. Miami would probably want more though.

  12. If all Jimmy costs the team is Wiggins, salary, and 1sts, yeah, I would do it. But if you have to give up Kuminga to do it, nah. All the team is doing is getting older.

Anyone that pleads to get Steph help while he still has a chance MUST consider Butler. It’s legitimately possible to get him without gutting the roster. There is no other player anywhere near his ability of which this can be said.

If he’d take a two year max, I think Lacob should pull the trigger. The gamble on his health would be worth it, and he would not need to be used as much during the regular season as the Heat have used him.

Could it blow up and be a huge waste of money? Of course, every move is. This one opens a legit Championship possibility, though. Seriously, there are no better moves out there. If you are good to go with running the same roster with a few small tweaks back, I’m fine with that, but I won’t be expecting more than a second round exit in the West, and that’s if we get lucky with matchups.

So, remember this move / non-move if you are going to be flooding the sub with “Steph needs help!” posts and comments. It’s a gamble, but a good and fair one. I’m okay with Lacob doing it or not doing it. If I was a billionaire and knew the club would make money anyways, I’d go for it.

  14. This would be a huge gamble, but I think the reality is that any move we make is gonna be like that. If this is the move they make, I wouldn’t be upset simply because it means they’re committed to going all-in on the end of Steph’s career.

  15. Anyone who believes this will happen is a moron.

    Don’t engage with clickbait.

I’d have the jersey the day he sign ngl. Probably my second favorite active player behind Steph

  17. Therealomerali

Jimmy is basically a one season rental in that he’s completely unpredictable and unreliable.

  18. I would pull the trigger for 2 of moody/podz/wiggins plus picks. Yes there’s risk but this instantly puts the squad back in contention the next couple years.

  19. Steph curry would say no before Dunleavy had time to think on it

  20. GhostfrmthaA

This is a big risk but hoping and praying that Wiggs returns to form is a risk too…

  21. Jimmy one of my fav players but I just don’t know about the fit on this team. Plus he’s looking for a big contract at 34 years old. Idk depends on what we’d have to give up to get him

  22. blur_reqz

Only guy with extensive injury history that I’d be interested in is Kawhi, just because he’s such a perfect fit.

  23. Used_Water_2468

Another non shooter is a good fit on paper.

    Yeah ok.

Too old now. Injury prone. And people put too much stock into this “playoff Jimmy” thing. He made the finals in the 2020 bubble which most people write off. And then made the finals in 2023 while he was injured and his role players were on fire and Spo was doing the best coaching of his life. Playoff Jimmy isn’t much of a thing. The Heat making those two finals is more a product of a global pandemic, private basketball at a luxury resort, role players playing like MVPs, and Spo being the best coach in the league. Not because Jimmy Butler.
