Jerry West’s greatest roster moves as an NBA executive
Jerry West proved he was the best executive in basketball on many occasions but his Greatest Hits are real master class bringing Kobe and sha to La 96 set the foundation for the greatness to come but adding Phil Jackson to the fold in 99 set the Lakers up for a three peat that cemented them in NBA history Wes also gave the keys to Steph Curry after trading way Monte Ellis but his next moves built a Dynasty West formed the splash Bros by drafting Klay Thompson he also drafted Draymond Green signed Andre Iguodala hired Steve cerr and reshaped the NBA Forever by signing KD moves that again resulted in championships and most recently in 2019 he rebuilt the Clippers by bringing Kawai and Paul George back to Cali you can even go back to the 80s to get a glimpse of West’s amazing track record he drafted James Worthy to the Lakers forming a big three with magic and Kareem that resulted in many champagne bottles popped but West proved he could also make moves outside of California because he also set the Grizzlies up for success in the early 2000s by drafting pgaa so as we say goodbye to a legend we can’t forget how he shaped the basketball world around us and how his legacy will forever live on as the logo and the Goat executive

In Undisputed, Paul Pierce mentioned that Jerry West reached out to him pre '98 draft and was trying his hardest to get Paul with Kobe and Shaq in the Lakers. Unfortunately, there was no deal made and the Lakers couldn't get the higher draft position to aquire him at that time.
