Doing some housework today and listened to an insane mock draft that came across my feed. Three trades involving OKC so I thought I’d post here.
First, it’s a discord fan mock so no real ‘scuttlebutt’ other than what is publicly reported. No insider info. Secondly, I have no idea who this guy is that is hosting. Last, I think this has only marginal value to at least see what other fans think and want. That’s always interesting to me. Get out of the OKC bubble. All OKC trades are posted below and the link to the video as well.
Trade 1: see pic above. A 5-team trade where OKC keeps pick 12 and acquires Nic Clayton while giving up Giddey, Ous and a pick.
Trade 2: Thunder trade 12, a future pick to Toronto to move down to 19 and pick up Bruce Brown
Trade 3: OKC trades 19 for Malik Monk.

We also gave up Aaron Wiggins and Lindy in the trade. I can guarantee this podcaster has zero clue how valuable Wiggins was
Am I missing something about trade 1? I don’t think Nic Claxton is worth Giddey and Wiggins for us.. Ous also has more potential to crack the rotation than Charles Bassey does at this point in their careers. Also are the Spurs giving anything else up besides Charles Bassey for what they’re getting? This deal seems awful for us, the Nets, and I think the Wizards can get more value for Kuzma.
The title of this post alone makes me wish the mods would take it down lol

Posting 5 team trades in general is just dumb, these never happen.
Any 3+ team trade usually has 2 teams trading actual stuff and the other team/s being present for salary dumping or other cap purposes.

This is way too low of value for the thunder. And even I’m on the low end of Giddey value compared to this sub.
