There is a chance that Lakers Hurley is just a less shady Celtics era Rick Pitino in the league, but I would have liked to have tried it out

Demanding respect from pros with egos, who make more in one contract than you have your whole career, will forever put nba coaches at a disadvantage.
The only coaches who can truly coach and hold their players accountable, are the ones whose FOs take their side over the players or the star player fully buys in and sets that example (pop, spo, Kerr). Everyone else is a year away from being fired if their players decides they’re not buying what the coach is selling.

I really wanted Hurley but if there’s one big question mark this is it.
Being a hard ass is easy on college kids. It’s a lot harder on grown men making generational wealth. ESPECIALLY when you have zero proof of it’s success in the pros.

This man is doing unnecessary damage to himself as a coach. 1st the wife crying and pretty much running the show, and now calling his players dumb. Not too long before it makes its way back to the players.

Ngl the Lakers may have dodged a bullet lol.
Bro is kinda fucked in the head.

Often time college coaches just can’t cut it in the pros because it’s much easier to bully around kids than grown men.

College coaches often alienate their players after a couple years, but it rarely matters because the great players don’t hang around long enough. The churn is high. An NBA coach doesn’t have that luxury.

I appreciate his honesty, actually. In retrospect, perhaps the Lakers dodged a bullet in NOT signing him, after all.

Every genius at their profession is somewhat have an ass personality, Jordan, Kobe, Brady, Woods, Sheldon Cooper, and many more. Hurley is a basketball genius, the Lakers looked at him because of that. But we need to move on from this, focus our attention to the Celtics choking a 3-0 lead.

I’m not sure why he interviewed then. Sounds like he really never wanted the job and is not up for the challenge of coaching an NBA team. Waste of time.

Wonder if he’ll lose some prospects because of this. He better lock down the UConn bag now.

This man is never going to work out in the nba. I’d be pissed if I was a current player and my coach just called me dumb to the entire world.

Dan Hurley’s bitch ass can get fucked. Sick of hearing about him and his hairless head.

He basically pulled a Kawhi on us
Did this guy just use the word dumber to describe his players?
True psycho. Kobe would’ve loved him
And his wife crying about him getting a job offer?? Interesting 🤨
Instead of saying “NBA players are smarter” he really said “They’re dumber than NBA players?” lmao
Really dodge a bullet. Thank God
