The NBA Does NOT Like What The New York Knicks Are Doing..

the New York Knicks are doing the unbelievable and the NBA absolutely hates what this team is pulling off I think nobody realizes what this team is doing and this is literally just the tip of the iceberg the NBA does not like what the New York Knicks are doing but they won’t stop until they get what they want could the New York Knicks be gearing up for another major trade this summer rumors are circulating and stories are emerging typically these are just rumors and often turn out to be false with reporters seeking clicks however given that it’s summer it’s worth reacting to some of the speculation one particularly interesting story comes from Ian Begley focusing on none other than Carl Anthony towns towns has been rumored to join the Knicks for about 3 to four years now it almost feels like summer Nicks basketball isn’t complete without these rumors and here we are again debating whether the New York Nicks should trade for Carl Anthony towns this story is intriguing with many moving parts so let’s break down the basics a potential trade between the Knicks and Minnesota for Carl Anthony towns starting with bonovich bogdanovich s contract is currently guaranteed at $2 million but will become fully guaranteed at $19 million on June 28th the Nick’s decision on bogdanovich is crucial for any trade Begley suggests that keeping bogdanovich makes sense if the Knicks anticipate a trade for an All-Star combining his $19 million with with Julius randle’s $28 million allows them to match salaries with almost anyone however if Bob donovic leaves the Knicks would likely need to trade Josh Hart or Mitch Robinson or involve precious AWA in a sign in trade to make up the necessary amount let’s get down to the basics what trade packages would work this is the key question who would be sent to Minnesota and who would be sent to New York here are the possible packages after July 1st the Knicks could trade Randall bogdanovich Jericho Sims and multiple first round picks before July 1 the Knicks could send Randall and bogdanovich increase his partial guarantee to $7.8 million and include multiple first round picks this package would match Town’s $36 million salary and hard cap the Knicks at the second apron in 2024 to 2025 why would Minnesota trade towns and why would the Knicks want him let’s break it down Minnesota had one of the best seasons in franchise history winning 56 games with towns playing a key role however they project to pay $75 million in luxury tax next season trading towns could help alleviate this financial burden now why would the Knicks want towns it’s debatable some might wonder why New York would trade Randall bogdanovich and picks for towns when Randall is arguably better Town’s injury history is a concern with recent issues including an ankle injury and shoulder surgery his health and performance post surgery are big question marks additionally towns is due for an extension and will want a significant payday so why would the Knicks be interested in towns there’s always been a degree of interest from the Knicks in towns and the NBA relationships matter and nicks president Leon Rose was Town’s former agent this history means there’s a familiarity between towns and Rose which could influence their interest in him there are also natural connections between towns and the Knicks in terms of his potential fit on the basketball court it’s unclear if the current key decision makers still view towns in the same light but Ian Begley highlighted a key line in his article that I tweeted a graphic of specifically in the bogdanovich section Begley mentioned my read is that any player outside of Brunson would be available in the right trade which is what you’d expect in this situation I found that line interesting because you’re saying any player could be available in a Carl Anthony Town’s trade are you serious even mentioning Dante even the villain NOA guys I get it’s the NBA it’s a business but after such an incredible season with the chemistry that Knicks have built do you really want to disrupt that would you really consider shaking things up for someone like Booker or another top tier player even even if it means breaking up what we’ve achieved now if it improves the team you have to consider it that’s the reality but this summer if the Knicks were to make such a move it seems anyone could be on the table except Brunson it’s a pragmatic approach to say we’re open for business no one is Untouchable except for Jaylen Brunson obviously I’ve been thinking about Carl Anthony towns is he a good player yeah definitely I think he and Randall could compliment each other well on the Court however trading Julius Randall back to Minnesota doesn’t seem financially feasible to me towns had some impressive moments than the playoffs but also some rough ones the Knicks are likely considering the looming extension for Julius Randall and wondering if it’s wise to commit big money especially with uncertainties following his shoulder surgery towns will always be linked to the Knicks in rumors where there’s smoke there’s often fire as I’ve been saying for years we’ll see how it plays out what’s your take should the Knicks pursue towns would you trade Randall bogdanovich and picks for him or do you prefer sticking with the current team and making smaller adjustments let me know in the comments below let’s talk about Randall look it seems like every summer there’s rumors swirling around Randall I think those rumors will persist until he proves himself in the playoffs Nick’s fans are divided each summer some want to trade him some want to keep him perhaps he needs a standout playoff moment to silence his critics but what caught my attention was that line from Begley any player besides Jaylen Brunson is available I found that intriguing Brunson and Hart have their podcast now and there’s Chemistry Between Dante and thibs and everyone respects the coach it was just an interesting remark that Ian Begley brought up but ultimately the goal is to win a championship to be like Boston in the Eastern Conference the top team that’s the Benchmark to strive for whatever it takes to improve your team that’s what you should aim for this summer is shaping up to be interesting with swirling rumors about Mitch Robinson Randall trades and another Carl Anthony towns rumor will the Knicks pursue this route it’s uncertain but summertime always brings plenty of rumors let me know your thoughts in the comments below would you want towns on the Knicks do you think pairing him with Randall would be beneficial personally I’m not sure if they can financially manage without trading Julius Randall but I’m skeptical trading Randall along with picks for towns doesn’t seem like a move the Knicks would make I’m curious to hear your opinions also what do you think of Ian Begley’s comment that every Nicks player is available except Jaylen Brunson

  1. Both teams are in similar positions with upcoming cap space and potential. Any trades between them would be seismic, especially if it requires an all star. Who knows?
