Game Notables
Tonightβs game represents the third-largest margin of victory in an NBA Finals game:
1998 NBA Finals Game 3: 42 Points β Chicago Bulls 96, Utah Jazz 54
2008 NBA Finals Game 6: 39 Points β Boston Celtics 131, Los Angeles Lakers 92
2024 NBA Finals Game 4: 38 Points β Dallas Mavericks 122, Boston Celtics 84
2013 NBA Finals Game 3: 36 Points β San Antonio Spurs 113, Miami Heat 77
1978 NBA Finals Game 6: 35 Points β Washington Bullets 117, Seattle Supersonics 82
There have been EIGHT instances of 20-year-olds recording double-doubles in the NBA Finals. Dereck Lively II joins Magic Johnson as the only players to have multiple double-doubles in the NBA Finals before turning 21 years old:
Magic Johnson β 5x in 1980 NBA Finals
Dereck Lively II β 2x in 2024 NBA Finals
Darryl Dawkins β 1x in 1977 NBA Finals
Dereck Lively II is the only ROOKIE to have a +/- rating of +20 in a NBA Finals game in the PXP era (since the 1998 NBA Finals).
With 25 PTS in the first half, Luka Doncic (25y 107d) becomes the third youngest player to score 25 or more in the first half of an NBA Finals game.
The only players younger:
Hakeem Olajuwon (23y 125d): May 26, 1986: HOU at BOS
Kyrie Irving (25y 78d): June 9, 2017: CLE v GSW
He’s only the SECOND PLAYER to score 25+ in H1 of a Finals game WITHOUT making a 3PT (Tim Duncan – 2013 NBA Finals Game 6)

New champion Dallas Mavs β€π π π π
nope celtics give way in game 4 to mavericks but celtics will in the final in their home court…..πππππ
Seems like Celtic is doing what the Mavs did to their previous opponent. Will be the same series score at 4:1. Game over Mavs, Luka deserves a better team!
thanks for spoil the result in the tittle. scumbag
Common Mavs ….let's get 3 more
Good job resting up celtics lets take this easy win at home lol they only lost to win at home lol π
Going to game 7
Winning or losing, I have lots of respect for Luka. He never complained about not having enough star players, not having a good coach, not having enough help, he just kept digging and doing his best. Now they are in the finals and I'm very proud of him and the team. Kyrie has proven to be a great addition and also deserves more credits in his championship run with the Cavs.
Itβs a fun giveaway game π€£
When WWE execs took over the Nba…
Great display. Unfortunately, and I wanted the Mavs to win it all, but the Mavs right now are incapable of doing this 3 more times, especially twice in Boston. Mavs should have done this in game 3 if they wanted some chance π
Still Boston in 5
Regular season atmoshere, where is any symbols of the finals?
Tatum moron wkwkwkwkwk
Looks like Joker realized he canβt be Fβd wit! Kyrie realized no one can guard him. #WIN
Dallas strategy in game 4: Take Boston for a trip to Dealey Plaza, then make a left turn onto Elm Street.
CLOSING OUT A SERIES IS NOT EASY
Celtics purposely lost to won at home
Mavs in 7
NBA Referee Tim Donaghy went to prison for fixing games and yet the league obviously still hasnβt changed. This game reeks of Adam Silver asking the refs to extend the series and thereby generate more money for the NBA. NBA will censor me and delete this comment.
This game wasn't about scoring it was defense. Luka finally showed some real energy on defense and it helped his team dictate the game. This can go to 7 if this is how Dallas is going to play.
Sweet beat Boston twice the same night (Celtics & Red Sox) π.
When this series started, I said the Celtics have the better team but could lose to the Mavs for these reasons.
1. Boston does not score a lot of points so if you can push the tempo, you can win.
2. Boston tandem of Brown and Tatum play more ISO ball or my turn/your turn
3. Boston has problems with teams who have star guards and the Mavs have 2 in Luka and Kyrie. It's the reason they lost to the Warriors the year with Curry putting them to sleep
4. The Celtic guards are good on defense but not offfense
Viewing game 3, the Mavs learned something late in that game that carried over to game 4.
1. The Mavs pushed the tempo. Although they did not win game 3, they brought that 20 plus lead down to 3 and we know Luka fouled out. The game could have been a W. Viewing game 4, the Mavs pushed the tempo and took the ball out of Luka's hand when coming up the floor. Luka is slow bringing the ball up which allows the Celtics to setup their defense. In game 4, we saw more Dante Exum who sped the ball up the floor before the Celtics could setup their defense.
2. The Celtics also started the game returning to their old ways of a lot of ISO shots for Tatum. In the games they won, they were passing it to multiple players for the open shot.
3. Luka and Kyrie not only scored but they found their teammates for good open shots by making the right pass.
4. Jrue and Derrick were not scoring and they were not able to keep up defensively due to the Mavs on the move.
This MAVS Awakening form are getting started untill game 7 go MAVS! we trust in you
23/77 33/11 Ya'll fill in the rest. Remember MJ won a title in Season what? BTW the GOAT gave the little boy Luka a sneaker. Hasn't been wrong so far. Not to mention Mark Cubinski…
I alread knew boston was losing this game i said it noston gunna throw so they can win it at home
0:43 Livelyβs balls are not having a fun playoffs. He might have blue balls at this point but for the wrong reason.
Celtics are gonna finish the job in beantown make no mistake about it βοΈ
