🚨REPORT: Warriors TRADING for Jimmy Butler? Latest Warriors Rumors On Jonathan Kuminga Extension

[Music] coming up this off season could the Golden State Warriors swing a deal with the Miami Heat to land Jimmy Butler we’re talking about that on Golden State Warriors today happy Friday everybody him that contract extension that would scare the hell out of me now from my view I don’t think there’s any doubt that Jimmy Butler’s fit on the court can really be questioned by the Golden State Warriors I actually think that he would fit but I also think that Jimmy Butler raises the ceiling of this roster because I think Jimmy Butler is an all-around basketball player on both ends of the floor who can contribute offensively and defensively and the Warriors have been a little bit late on talent and I think that Butler would be able to fit in alongside Steph Kirby because he’s malleable and then he makes you a much better defensive team and he can get a bucket really at all three levels now as for the Jimmy Butler situation why he could get dealt by Miami he’s reportedly seeking a 2-year $113 million extension from the heat Pat Riley who runs basketball operations for Miami said on May 6th we are not trading Jimmy Butler he is under contract for 2024 2025 with a $ 52.4 million player option for 20125 2026 so if he opts in that’s two years of Team control but he wants that contract extension to have that longterm Financial stability Butler also I think would be a great mentor to Jonathan kaminga Jonathan kaminga is an unbelievable physical presence he has so much ability a lot of that potential is still untapped he’s in his early 20s but sometimes he doesn’t play like that physical player sometimes he is a little bit mentally off and we’re so used to as people who watch the Warriors game in game out seeing a mentally tough organization led by Steph Curry Klay Thompson Draymond Green you want Jonathan kaminga to take that step Jimmy Butler took that step years ago given his upbringing his basketball path what he’s dealt with on and off the court he is a dog and if you put Jimmy Butler next to Jonathan kaminga that’s the type of Mentor who will go up to kaminga and he will say what he thinks he needs to say to bring the best out of Jonathan kaminga to allow him to fully tap into his potential Jimmy Butler’s potential we already know what it is he’s going to give you 20 25 points every single night in the regular season occasionally he’ll pop off for a big game and he’ll go for 30 40 points in the playoffs though that’s where Jimmy Butler comes alive and I think that Jimmy Butler would be able to help out Steph Curry a lot in just taking the brunt of the offensive load off of Steph Curry’s shoulders it shouldn’t just have to be oh let’s rely on Steph because the team has become overly Steph foring and when you bring in a player like Jimmy Butler who in the playoffs with Miami 64 games has lifted the heat to two NBA Finals has won a bunch of big games in Series has averaged 25 points per game seven boards six assists 47 a half% from the floor and 34% from three-point range this just makes you a better basketball team you of course have concerns about Jimmy Butler’s age and him breaking down and giving him a lot of money here’s also what a little bit confusing is that Joe lob wants to get under the luxury tax and Golden State wants to keep kaminga but they’d also like to add Butler if possible what did I tell you on yesterday’s show The Warriors are not a dumb business they’re not a poorly run basketball organization they understand shoot we got to take advantage of Steph Curry being in his prime and we got to be aggressive here we can’t just let Steph Curry ride away so if we have to go into the luxury tax the Warriors have in the past they have and will now what would hold them back when you have Steph Curry on your team as for the Warriors trade assets if they were to make a trade for Jimmy Butler you’re looking at Jonathan kaminga as the best piece there’s no doubt about it Andrew Wiggins salary filler Moses Moody a solid two-way player with potential Gary Payton the second and then on the right side of your screen you have four first round picks 2025 2026 2027 and 20 28 as for what the package could be producer Chip’s going to turn on the YouTube shorts camera and I’m going to go off for about 60 seconds here according to Nick friedell of ESPN the Golden State Warriors are interested in trading for Jimmy Butler but I think the only way that the Miami Heat trade Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors is if the Warriors include Jonathan kaminga in the deal Jimmy Butler is the backbone of that Heat organization he epitomizes heat culture and that would signal somewhat of a retool or a rebuild for Miami they definitely like to get a little bit younger because if they trade Jimmy Butler away it signals they don’t want to give him the contract extension that he is seeking so the Warriors might have to part ways with Jonathan kaminga to give Miami that young stud who the heat can develop past year first 33 games averaging under 13 points per four rebounds more than an assist per night 50 and a half% from the field 28% from three but then he starts playing a little bit more last 44 games averages nearly 19 points per game 5 and a half rebounds assist numbers go up field goal numbers go up and then naturally the three-point numbers go up as well what would an extension look like
