The Los Angeles Lakers JUST Found This 7’0” HIDDEN GEM During SECRET Draft Workouts ft Bronny & Edey

as the Los Angeles Leaguers coaching search continues with seemingly minimal progress the same can’t be said about the thorough pre-draft workout process the postseason hasn’t even come to an end yet and already the organization has already brought in a SEO of intriguing prospects between March Madness sensation DJ Burns bronnie James Zack Edo and at least another half dozen projected late draft picks who might be available with one of the Lakers two pics the front office’s track record speaks for itself and the due diligence they put into identify late gems in the draft so let’s not downplay the 2024 NBA draft as it could be the Lakers very first opportunity to kick off their offseason on the right foot many fans within the purple and gold fan base are not comfortable of burning their 17th overall pick on a traditional Center like Zach Edy and understandbly so Superstar Anthony Davis is going to be eating a lot of those minutes at this stage of his career when all the Lakers need is a situational big for very specific matchups with that being the case maybe it’d be most optimal from an asset management standpoint for the Lakers to bolster their front court with their late second round pick or even by signing an undrafted Prospect following draft night fortunately it seems the Lakers may already be thinking two steps ahead and might have already found their candidate for that backup center position as part of a recent pro-day workout held at their facility that captivating incoming rookie is 5ye West Virginia product 24-year-old 7-footer Jesse Edwards just from the eye test alone Edwards seems to be a Warf fall Prospect for the Lakers to keep on the radar should he be available following draft night but it only gets better as we dive into his measurements strength isn’t exactly the areas where the Lakers find themselves vulnerable and his maturation as one of the older rookies of his draft class but first let me know down in the comment section below with the 2024 NBA draft being less than 2 weeks out which prospects do you want to see the Lakers walk away with on draft night first of all Jesse Edwards is a legit 7-footer and he has a freakish long wingspan to go along with it stretching 7′ 5 in his measurements and build is pretty comparable to that of jvel McGee for all the right and wrong reasons as he’s also long agile and springy but just a little too thin to be able to hold his own against the Joel unbe or Nicole yic regardless to javel M and Anthony Davis starting front Court days managed to Anchor the League’s best interior defense that season and with Jesse Edwards the Lakers would be getting a dose of that Edwards is a high motor Defender who uses his length and quickness to be disrupted Defender covering a tremendous amount of ground of effectively contesting shots blocking opponents and getting to the passing lanes for some steals it also needs to be mentioned his enthusiasm on the defensive end of floor during his final year in college is not fluky display just for the sake of boosting up his draft stock Jesse Edwards has been doing it for three straight years now just listen to these numbers in his third year at Syracuse Edwards averaged 12 points 6 and 1 half rebounds 2.8 blocks and 1.1 steals per game averaging over one block and one steal per game is impressive enough but for him to do it with nearly three blocks is simply incredible well in his fourth season Edwards would keep up the same production let go his Clockwork as he finished his final season at Syracuse averaging 14 and 1 12 points 10 rebounds 1.4 Steals and 2.7 blocks per game continuing to absolutely fill up the stat sheet then finally in his Fifth Season where he transferred to West Virginia things unfortunately cooled down a bit as he would finish his final College season with 15 points eight rebounds 1.7 blocks per game and just a little over half steel as well the change of scenery clearly stunted his defensive impact and that combine with the fact that Edwards remains a raw Prospect with not much touch around the basket is a bit underz and a questionable rebounder at the next level it has all led to Edward stock falling out of many mock drafts and far from where it might have once been a few years back when he was tearing it up as the Syracuse starting center obviously Jesse Edwards currently has some obvious flaws that would limit his contribution as cealing to d a second string Center at best as he begins his NBA career but again that’s all the Lakers currently need anyways so let me know down in the comment section below which current NBA player does Jesse Evers remind you of but that’s it for the video take it easy guys how do you think the workout went uh I think went good uh it’s always fun to be out here like you seen a couple cilities and this is obviously another beautiful one so uh yeah it was just a lot of fun and how would you describe your game fast-paced agile and hardworking big skilled but little bit of everything but yeah fast and how do you how do you think you can best utilize your size and length at the next level like I said like I’m a little bit more a than usual for my height so I try to use that quickness rebounding pick and rolls defense on offense pick and rolls and just be able to be that guy that can do multiple coverages be a lock down Defender protect the rim but then also get on and run how would your experience with playing for two major programs in Syracuse and West Virginia prepare you for the NBA definitely prepare me on the professionalist big basketball and yeah the coaches the staff everybody around at that at those schools was just yeah really important in in my journey all the way to this these workouts and everything around you so and coming from the Netherlands to the US how did that kind of help you develop as a professional just a very different culture so the St specialy was an adjustment but I think that our culture back home which is perhaps a little like more small time like it’s everything is usually they say bigger in America we’re a little bit more like smaller where I come from so when I came here I think it’s it’s it’s definitely helped me to stay grounded stay excited throughout this process that you know I’m you know doing all these NBA things NBA workouts meeting all these great people that I don’t lose the enthusiasm I hope and then Rick Smith is probably the most famous Dutch player in the NBA was on the Pacers um did you watch him at all do you do you know him or have any connections to him yeah I’ve uh been planning on reaching out to him I was probably to talk to him later this week just got his number but yeah no he’s obviously our legend for sure and he’s Legend out here too so it’s it’s uh it’s beautiful to be able to do that what does it mean to you to see you know the the fact that you could be another Dutch player just like Rick in the league yeah that that’s been my dream for a long time so I think we’ve had a total of five so trying to make that six we got a couple other guys coming maybe seven or eight so yeah that’s definitely the the dream the goal a lot just as much love uh is when I started there and when I finished there you dome environment yeah every day this uh there’s nothing like it you know so um play some great stadiums and it’s just still special Jesse you went from Port Smith to the elite camp and now you’re here at the comine I was just telling Enrique I mean you grinded I mean you also went different schools so how’s the journey feel now you’re here you got the NBA logo behind you you got the NBA logo on your shirt how’s that feel it feels amazing and uh you know I’m like everybody in this room you’re just trying to keep that logo on your chest for as long as you can really um so yeah it’s it’s like you said it’s been a grind it’s been a it’s been a crazy path this summer but uh I can’t wait to keep it going hopefully right so uh that’s been great you’re like the prototypical big that people are looking for if you’re not the Unicorn it’s the rim running Sim 7-footer with athleticism that can shop block who’s somebody you watch or take influence from that you know help you keep those skills fresh yeah uh I mean in the league there’s a bunch of guys but I um I love the way jar Allen plays uh just the way he’s absolute Jugger on defense and he’s obviously Elite offensive player too but that’s a bunch of young guys like uh Derek Lively or or or Gafford same team but they play that game Elite um so that’s exactly the path I think I can uh you know uh fill up and I think it’s a valuable role so that’s that’s that’s exactly I’m going for you those are two good Role Models man hey Daniel Gafford I I live in DC outside DC so I know all about Gafford but for you what’s the most overlooked or underrated skill that people need to pay attention to of yours uh I just think that like at the size obviously there’s not a whole lot of guys that are still able to run like that so that’s really what I’m trying to hammer on right just show that I can run like that um I got speed and and also good finishing around the rim and then on defense being able to lock it down um whenever there’s a anybody that creeps through or there’s a you know um I’ve obviously played zone for a while so I know how to lock it down uh in the pain so whenever does anything he can do like that I think that’s a skill takes a while to develop knowing when to go when not to go uh yeah do you feel um that you’ll ever step out to the three-point line it’s coming just taking the time but I saw you hitting those in P Smith yeah that’s the thing right I I just need to make it more consistent but it’s definitely there um for me is just practice and then I’ll be I’ll be confident with it last question man who’s your goat goat yeah for me is LeBron this just for me to always been a goat grew up watching them um yeah nothing more than that

Thanks for checking out my video!

  1. BPA – Best Player Available. The Lakers have such a void of talent that they can't chase a position like they did last year with JHS. They need to draft the best player on the board and figure out minutes later. I expect both LeBron and AD to miss significant time this season. They need young talent and a lot of it.

  2. Kai SOTTO IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR LAKERS EVEN IF THEY DRAFTED BRONNY KAI SOTTO WILL HELP LAKERS JUST PASS THE BALL TO HIM HE WILL SCORE ALOT

  3. The problem that I have with this type of draft pick is, if you're not going to compete against the type of players that Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic bring to the table then what's the purpose of your draft picks, if you have "Failed" at conquering one of your "Biggest" objectives because, if you don't satisfy the need in defeating one of your most important "Nemesis" and you're left with the same problem then your entire draft picks were a complete "Failure" as you must, draft players to "Eliminate" your immediate "Nemesis" anything less is an infringement on your ability to identify your immediate problem.

  4. We need Zach Edey! AD has said over and over he does NOT want to play Center. Edey can come in and contribute day 1 and be Center of future
