Knicks & Hawks Discussed A Dejounte Murray Trade

yo what’s going on guys I’m going to put this away right now but we are here doing a little I think we’re going do a little live stream as we talk about some things just kind of like doing a quick video but if you guys want to hit that like And subscribe button I’m about to watch Game 4 in a little bit but I thought hey I’m going to record how about we do this in a way that I can just put this as a live stream and then I can also just clip what we have so that’s what we’re going to do right here let me know how everything s sounds the music sounds good but we’re going to get right into it and talk about what we have here today and the first things we’re going to talk about is the Atlanta Hawks and the Knicks so the report is coming out from the New York Times specifically it is that it’s not the New York Times actually it’s the athletic but like it’s credited as the New York Times now Fred cats put out in a report today I just want to make sure I think I got to go more this way yeah a little bit more this way either way dejonte Murray is a guy who’s been part of trade talks since he’s been on Atlanta it feels like and he’s a guy I personally think Atlanta is going to continue to try to be a team that competes you have no you don’t control your future assetwise and I just don’t think they’re going to get the return on investment that they gave up for Deonte Murray so it’s rather just keep the guy and try to make this work but according to Fred cats of the athletic the Atlanta Hawks fielded offers for Deonte Murray leading up to this past trade deadline but could not find one worth executing during that time they did speak with the New York Knicks League sources said that they never got close to an agreement part of jonte M Murray’s appeal to New York was his flip ability the Knicks could trade Murray at the deadline and then include him in another deal for a St this summer or the next season so for me when we look at this situation we know the Knicks are conf that they can resign oan anobi and Isaiah hardenstein I mean good for them that that he feel like that but if we want Deon is a guy who’s gone better as a three-point shooter I think his defense has slipped I do agree with the sentiment that he isn’t as good of a Defender as he was with the San Antonio Spurs a combination of lower ball body injury and more of being a focal point on offense has led to his defense regressing a little bit but he’s still better than most guys at his position past three years now he’s been a 20 point per game score he’s average he went from being a really good rebounding guard with the Spurs his last two years basically averaging seven and a half rebounds between those two years one year seven the other eight to being a five rebound a game guy six and a half assists and for me when you look at D jante what in a in a vacuum if if the Hawks and the Knicks were to revisit a trade what would that look like first off I think it would have to be at least two first round picks maybe three first round picks just to get the Hawks interested it could be your worst picks but and I know New York fans are going to say deal not even going to do that deal because I understand that I agree with that but if I’m a Haw the Hawks I’m saying look I gave up three first round picks for this guy I want two at least and they have to be two good ones or three bad ones or you know not three like from a team that’s rebuilding assetwise Deon is making like 20ish million dollar and one could argue oh would the Knicks use this as an opportunity to maybe move off of some contracts or something like that like a boon bogdanovich would then who has a partially guaranteed contract which then allowed the Hawks to cut him and they would only have to pay him like 3 million so that’s kind of where you would think the deal would be like okay we give you Buon bogdanovich and dece McBride and two first round picks maybe three first round picks for dejonte Murray and right there that I think is the most realistic deal for the fo and you know Knicks now maybe in a different deal you go okay here’s Clint capella and dejonte muray that’s about almost $40 million you send Mitchell Robinson Buon bonovich and Duce McBride in two first round picks could that be something that they’d be interested in maybe if they were trying to find more C you know flexibility financially but I think Mitchell Robinson’s on such a good deal and I rather have Mitchell Robinson than Clint capella but again that’s another you know potential deal I think to to keep an eye out for that I think would interest maybe the Hawks more than the the Knicks but if they were to revisit that I do think that’s something of Interest I want to hear you guys’ thoughts there if you were the Atlanta Hawks what would you guys do and why

  1. You smoking dope with this one 😂 Bojan, Mcbride, and 3 1st for Dejounte really made me crack up. The Knicks would only ever be interested in trading for him if they were then trading him in a bigger package for a superstar.
