There are worse prospects. But there are also better prospects than a 22 year old, 6’2″ shooting guard who only has one year of actually shooting well under his belt. (Especially since the FT shooting doesn’t make it look like he’s a great shooter.)
I’m not really sure he’s a better prospect than Blake and Malaki, who are both a year younger than he is.

I would love him at 8. Solid defense, solid shooting, not amazing at creation but if we run Jokic like offense hub through Wemby it can work

Carter is an interesting prospect. I like his tenacity on defense and his 3pt shot has come a long way. That being said, he’s 22 yrs old which isn’t terrible or anything but it puts into perspective of some of these other guys that are ahead of him in terms of potential like Castle, Sheppard, Dillingham. They are all younger and have great qualities that can be expanded upon ala Carter himself.
Another thing to note is Carter’s absurd rebounding prowess for a small guard. The guy can rebound and it’s impressive!

Riscaher at 4 (Sarr-1, Clingan-2, Sheppard-3) and Carter at 8🤞

I’m not sure if I see it with this guy. I like the rebounding, but we were 11th in rebounding so I just don’t see that as our biggest need. If we’re looking at guards, I’d personally rather Sheppard for his shooting or Castle for his defense as I find those to be greater needs. Heck I’d probably rather Dillingham as well.
