Boston Celtics – Locker Room Celebrations ๐Ÿ”ฅ 2024 NBA Finals

listen to this Roar this crowd on its feet the best team in basketball all year all the work all the sacrifice handling the enormous weight of massive expectations Ends Tonight here it’s over time to say it again Boston anything’s possible ban number 18 has been secured the Celtics are NBA [Applause] champions wire to wire not only in game five but for the entire season the Celtics were the best from start to finish and never trailed tonight in the Clincher as they beat Dallas dispatching the Mavericks with a 10688 win in game five it’s a gentleman sweep though there was nothing gentlemanly about their ruthless approach to taking down the Mavericks here on their home floor the celebration is on deep inside TD Garden it’s game time live at the finals Ed by YouTube TV good to have you with us here in the rockus environment of TD Garden in the aftermath of a championship Matt Weiner Brandon Haywood Jamal Crawford Udonis Haslam right there Celtics LED 9-2 and never left any doubt about who was going to win this game or take home this trophy they just came out with the right mindset um it was evident from the jump defensively they were locked in they were on the same Accord they were on the same page I like the way Tatum started this game out he was driving he was aggressive he was he wasn’t settling there were some times where he took some step backs but at the end of the day I saw that assault on the basket that I wanted to see from him and the team they just got behind that and everybody just played to their level tonight game four proved to be an anomaly UD uh this was the Boston team we’ve seen all season long going back to October yeah this just came down to habits for me I think the habits that Boston had been building leading back to the beginning of the season going through the season all the way until now Dallas came in in game four they did some things but that wasn’t their habits got back into character tonight Boston got back to their habits and you can see the good habits that they built over the season Prevail through the game it was absolutely a clinic start to finish they played with the same desperation that Dallas did last game they didn’t want to leave anything the chance tonight they came in on the mission they were not going to leave this gym without a win and they sent that message right from the start the defensive intensity was night day better from game four to game five and again a lot like what we’ve seen for most of the series and most of the season it was absolutely the same defense they played when they were games one through three that was the defense that kept Dallas where they didn’t bring the others into the game they can break their will defensively they did that tonight they got easy baskets they play with a force and a decisiveness that was evident right from the start and I think defense is the reason why you can say this is why Jaylen Brown got the MVP when you look at the way he guarded Luca and you take away a quote that he said during the game he’s going to have to get it from out of bounds cuz in the half court I’m not letting him get the ball so now you ask why PJ Wason is bringing up the ball it’s cuz Jaylen Brown is pressuring Luca 94 ft making him turn it over wearing on him over the course of a 48 minute game that was a decision they made after game one for the most part they weren’t going to have donic bring it up the floor and Jaylen Brown had a lot to do with that the two-way effort gets him backto back MVP Trophies the Eastern Conference Finals MVP and now the NBA Finals MVP as well named of course for the great late Bill Russell Championship number 18 for the Celtics which separates them from the Lakers La you’re on notice once again yeah they can stay on Noti well first of all they got to get a coach they can’t do nothing they got to get a coach talk about championships they got to get one oh you said said they got one they got one you know something we don’t know I don’t know I I check the podcast tomorrow find out oh my goodness I’m getting them all out Jamal hey you ain’t playing wow you see the celebration inside there was some some mystery some drama about who was going to win the MVP Jason Tatum with the big scoring night tonight did not have a great offensive series but did so many other things in terms of rebounding his assist totals LED this team as well but Jaylen Brown’s two-way effort carried the day I might have made an argument for Drew holiday as well even though he didn’t have the counting numbers the impact he made everywhere on the floor it could have gone to any any number of people it definitely could have gone to any number of Boston Celtics we had so many guys with the Celtics that played well and put their imprint on this series I understand the big story is going to be who should have really got it Tatum or brown at the end of the day both guys were deserving I’m not going to pit these two guys against each other I just love the fact that they both played high level basketball on both ends I thought Tatum played great tonight but early in the series brown brown was the guy that was really inspiring this team both guys would deserve him think about that we’re talking about three guys that could have won Finals MVP not like three guys making the allstar team they’re loaded they’re dep but they play with No Agenda they got porzingis they got holiday they got white they got more mature and you could tell the experience of going to the finals playing The Warriors before it wasn’t good for them but they got those three guys they got mature and those three guys help them in moments like this I mean I’ve literally had the opportunity to watch jayen Brown and Jason Tatum grow up in front of my eyes going back and forth with these guys so many times in the Eastern Conference and having conversations with these guys understanding that it is a rivalry but as a OG nobody talks about the sleepless nights nobody talks about the nights where you can’t sleep because you didn’t get it done everybody talks about the parade but the nights that they went through the pain that they went through that helped them graduate to get to this point and that’s why they’re able to perform at this level on this stage and the parade is coming here in Boston something tells me the duck boats are already secured and ready to go sometime later on this week you mentioned christop porzingis who spent a lot of time pregame talking about whether or not he would play based on the warm-ups that we saw before the game it didn’t look to most of us like he was moving particularly well I was surprised to see him entered the game and he clearly wasn’t 100% But you he was out there and The Crowd Goes Nuts soon as he enters the floor he winds up a Plus on the night though I I think everyone was for Boston what did you think of what he was able to do I mean I’m I’m going pick it back over what Jamal say sometimes just having a guy in your lineup having his presence alone energizes the team you understand that 73 shooting from 28 29 ft from behind the basket it POS the difference of a threat defensively and then on excuse me off def he was in front of the basket just being 73 making things tough we saw dere Jes J Who’s a high fly try to go over top he could not complete the basket so he had the porzingis effect tonight and they just needed him on the floor his presence was a present yeah well first off you’re playing it’s a party it’s a party then he comes walking out with the Stone Cold Steve Austin you already know the crowd’s going to get into it that lift his teammates were happy they were smiling seeing him on the court it wasn’t a numbers thing it was a lift thing and you can’t you can’t always put a number on Big Mo he gave momentum tonight I didn’t think he was going to play truthfully but for him to come out there give this effort it was all on the line they obviously didn’t want to go back to uh Dallas they knew it could stop right here and poringa said it himself having a chance to end it in Boston I wanted to be a part of this yeah and you got to credit Joe moula as well because the first couple possessions was a little rough for poring so we were all thinking okay he done for Theon night they stuck with him they believed in him they gave him confidence and he played through it so shout out to coach for that yeah it was fascinating cuz he came into the game he got switched out onto Josh Green who hit back toback threes against him didn’t look like he was moving great and you just thought well he can’t play he can’t he can’t stay out there tonight you thought that and then he was out there he figur out a way not only giving up two threes to ud’s point he gave up a third three they just didn’t make it right so he was out there and Coach Missoula when they asked me who was the MVP a few days ago I said well he has the case to the MVP as well him and his staff the scheme they put in place the way they got everybody to buy in he put himself in the game and very few coaches can do that at this level Joe MAA the youngest head coach to lead a team to a championship since Bill Russell back in 1969 he’s just 35 years of age Brendon what has impressed you most about the way he’s navigated this season for a team that was the favorite to do exactly what they’ve done here tonight and navigating the entirety of the season and this postseason r at 16 and three what’s impressed me is that he’s done it his way yes absolutely he hasn’t tried to be anybody else except for mou he understood that his predecessor before him was really loved by the locker room he didn’t try to be him he just he just went out there he he was the best Joe moula he could be he didn’t get distracted by the outside noise this team was heavily criticized for a team that got a lot of winning done this year he never let the moment get too high he never bought into it just steady even killed and he had some really good game plans as well people thought maybe the strategy of taking all these threes is going to come back to bite Boston turned out the three-point line was a major weapon for the all year long and a major reason for why they won a championship he he did simple math he said our threes are going to beat your twos and we’re going to sell out to that some coaches when things get tough they they deviate from the plan he said no we’re going to embrace the plan and do even more of it so we got to be better Shooters we got to work on it more because this is who we are to win a championship and Dallas is a team that wants to take more threes than their opponent I believe if I’m not mistaken they didn’t do that in any of the five games against Boston Celtics did what they wanted throughout this series I mean again game for is an anomaly I mean the playoffs is about taking the team out of what they want to do more and making them uncomfortable and when you talk about Dallas being able to get those other guys involved and get those Corner threes credit Boston for having the discipline to stay at home even when Luca gets in the paint he gets a tough two stay at home it’s okay we would prefer to get the two than to give up the three to the other guys that takes discipline and if you look at some of the threes they were getting they were different threes dere when you look at um Derrick Jones Jr DJ Washington they were getting threes at the top of the key top of the break threes they weren’t getting those Corner threes that they were getting in the Oklahoma series and in the Minnesota series I think that was key we’ll give you threes but we’re not going to give you the threes that you shoot at a at a really high clip green XM Washington they were giving up those threes above the break at the top of the Circle Dallas just could not put a dent in the lead throughout the night despite bonus three-pointers from Josh Green who knocked down four on the night it was remarkable that Boston just was able to keep at it stay the course and I mean I think once again it comes to the habits what we saw on game four Dallas was not able to maintain that energy Luca was not able to M maintain that effort defensively they just weren’t able to maintain and to me that just comes down to the habits they’ll get better but Boston has been building these habits starting all the way back to training camp another habit that the Celtics have embraced Joe missou like a lot of coaches talks about finishing quarter Strong Finish the first quarter 9 nothing finished the second quarter 19-7 to take that big leak at the half and at that point the game was basically over there’s always moments of Truth in every game in some games there’s three moments of Truth sometimes there’s two sometimes there’s one what coach Missoula figured out is at the end of quarters we can get this nine 10 plus points but that’s going to bleed into this the next quarter you can break a team’s will you think that pton priter shot wasn’t worth more than three of course it was it brought the crowd into it it broke Dallas’s back those type plays are Championship level plays third time in the playoffs yes he’s hit a special team a quarter buzzer beater that’s crazy I think he was calling him a punt returner pun return but I will say this though I think I thought the biggest run they had was in the first quarter there was a point it was a one possession game and next thing you know you looked up and at the end of the first quarter it was a 10-point game and I thought right then and there Boston was like okay we’re going to bring the fight to these guys they punched Dallas in the mouth right there and Dallas never got up off the mat Celtics only turned it over nine times did a lot of things right uh never had the the crazy three-point shooting game that I thought that they would at some point but they get them up and they hit enough of them and the offense opens up possibilities in other places for that they didn’t get those up but what they did get is less settling on those plays where they do step back threes or one dribble one pass or no pass threes they became drive to the hes they became layups for Tatum they became Tatum spling it out I think he had almost nine assists at the half y like those type plays a bad shot is just like a turnover but it also can break your team’s will and spirit as well those plays were eliminated tonight I mean even though they didn’t shoot it as well as they do that puts pressure on your offense when you come back down the court once they get it going from three-point line now you’re trying to match those threes keeping up with those guys offensively and that’s not how you play the game of basketball that’s how they play the game of basketball and they had already set a tone at the half by knocking down 10 threes before halftime again it was just a matter of managing the 21-point lead at that point which they did for title number 18 christops poring is an inspiration tonight he’s a champion he’s standing by with Dennis Scott all right guys KP since you come in the league you’ve always been good to me doing interviews I’m super happy for you how big would you be to fight to get back on the floor tonight oh man it was uh a lot of effort went into all of this and also for myself you know just being hurt and trying to push through it and I think today was like the Pinnacle of that you know I I’m my leg is not great but I gave everything I could to the team and and uh and we’re the world chance and how frustrated were you because I saw you throughout the Eastern Conference Final working out on the side really want to be on the court how frustrating was that of course of course but I was seeing that hey we’re our team is so stacked that we’re able to to to to to do the job even with one of our main guys out you know and and uh it was amazing to see and everybody stepping up and then I finally I got my chance to to to get out there on the floor in the finals I just want to say thank you again go enjoy thank you my man big moment for Chris Toops porzingis big moment for L he was the first to Ever represent laia in an NBA finals and now the first Lan native to win an NBA championship and by the way laia is a tiny country l in Slovenia like Luka Don’s Country are like 5 million people it’s a big deal to bring an NBA title back home and for porzingis who has been an Allstar has been the future for some franchisees bounced around a little bit he really found a home here as kind of a number three score slotted where he should be and now he’s got a ring it’s been a very interesting path for porzingis came into this league remember they were booing him at first on draft night then it was all of a sudden he was the the Unicorn original unicorn he was he was supposed to take over the NBA not the remix the original that’s right the original then he goes to Dallas him and Luke are supposed to be the the pillars of the franchise it doesn’t work out goes to DC gets his game back going again starts scoring at a high clip and then he has to go go change that again when he ends up coming to Boston he has to sacrifice the offense some more so his career has gone up and down like this right here and to see him just say you know what it’s not about me it’s not about the numbers it’s about winning whatever you need me to do I’m very happy for him and it’s amazing because I think timing plays a part too going through those failures going through that adversity now so as these young stars with Boston right so you guys are meeting the magic moment at the right time you guys are meeting it together I’m not sure that brown and Tatum and those that crew can can handle this at this point if they hadn’t had the heartache of Golden State so those guys going through adversity and coming together like you know what we’ve done it all we’ made money we’ve done this and that it’s about winning they all sacrific for each other yeah and if we’re going to talk about giving credit to Missoula and his staff how about Brad Stevens and the decision he made when porzingis had been passed around and they s you to Washington die and get hey I’m just I’m off my I’m just they s to Wasington take a break they see you to washingt get they see you to Washington to get your Affairs in order oh my God they see you to Washington to get your Affairs in order so got we can really no you talk about the season that Boston had last year and usually when a team gets to the Eastern Conference Finals or gets that close you run it back you don’t want to disrupt that chemistry to go out and to get a porzingis go out and get a Drew holiday and to basically give up a bag of chips in Ina wow hey you own one listen no I’m no disrespect to the guys that got traded sound that sound like dis little disrespect did they play they did not play they did not play in Portland so if they didn’t play then this trade obviously works out better for Boston they got they got a they got a draft pick back in the porzingis deal they got the best player in the deal and got a pick back listen shout out Brad Stevens that’s incredible he was the best coach now all right we’ll take a break Lots more coming up the party is on in Boston they’re going to add to that collection of banners soon enough I’m still triggered you I’m still triggered my bad

  1. Injured heat, injured cavs, injured pacers, west 5th seed. I know itโ€™s not their fault but can we please call this what it isโ€ฆ softest road to a championship in NBA history.

  2. Who they beat? The mavs where good but not the best of the west. The nuggets got beat by the ONLY team that was BUILT to beat them and they barely did. Mavs caught a hot streak but hot streaks end. Celtics by luck!

  3. its not a big deal NBA title for Latvians or Lithuanians no one give a fck about it , much bigger deal to bring Olympic medal home

  4. Jordan Walsh not even legal age for alcohol has a ring ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  5. I feel the reason why Celtics won this year is because the warriors IQ taught them a lot thank you to the warriors because Boston knew what they needed to do after the warriors beat them I do think Celtics faced a Mavs team that wasent the best I would of liked to see nuggets vs Celtics I do not know how wolves beat them I think Murray was hurt had Murray was 100 percent it would be Celtics vs nuggets that would of went 7 but congrats to mavs for even making it now next year will be harder with a new warriors team free agents and then kuminga is a beast I wanna see a re match warriors vs Celtics

  6. Thank you Brooklyn for Tatum and Brown!! That trade with Boston 10 + years ago has worked out perfectly for us.

  7. Tatum and brown just make each other better. I mean the celtics have a nasty starting 5.. they will be back next year too. They have great chemistry glad they got the championship!!

  8. Congrats .all members Boston player after the way .this time succeed your effort everyone god bless more viva phillippines

  9. Who cares about the media in shambles. Celtics deserves this chip because the team is the best this year. It's a team effort indeed. Like the GSW says "strength in numbers".
