lot of options that they can choose from well thanks to multiple NBA insiders they help reveal exactly what the Knicks are going to do on draft night and potentially what player the Knicks are looking to draft we’re going to break down all of this and so so much more today if you’re not already subscribed to the channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button now and make sure you have notifications turned on so you don’t miss a second of the new content and now let’s get started multiple NBA insiders reveal the Nicks draft night plans the Knicks own the number 24 pick the number 25 pick and an early second round pick number 38 in this year’s draft with all of those selections they have to choose at least one draft pick in the first round if I’m the Knicks I’m picking one player from the first round and I’m choosing a player from the second round and I’m trying my best to trade that one other pick I have in the first round maybe some other players that I have for either a star player or an impactful player or I’ll do a classic Nick move they can take that pick and flip flip it for future assets to utilize in a star trade down the road either way it’s clear the Knicks have options come draft night they can draft multiple players they can trade all of their picks and some players for a star or an impactful player or they can draft the player and utilize their other picks in another way to try to get more assets for that star trade that they’re trying to pull off this off season but what are the Knicks going to do and if they’re going to draft a player what player are the Knicks looking at drafting right now well thanks to Michael Scot an NBA Insider for Hoops hype he gives us the following information about the Knicks and their draft night plans recently on the Hoops High podcast Michael Scot had NBA insiders Ian Bagley and Steph bondon and together they talked about the Knicks and their draft night plans according to Scot the Knicks have multiple picks in the 20s in this draft I touched on how many around the league believe that Ryan Dunn of Virginia a stout defensive player and arguably the best perimeter defender in this class A lot of people believe his floor is the Knicks pick at 25 if the Knicks don’t dangle their picks and trade talks I’d look at dun if they need a backup for OG an anobi when he’s hurt I can’t think of a better perimeter Defender to make up for what he does I know tho doesn’t usually play rookies but that kid is special on defense if you look at his stocks Productions Steals and blocks an anobi is always hurt I know the Knicks like him and brought him in for a workout some people think he’s going to go higher and that includes some within the Knicks organization according to Scot here at least with the information he just provided it seems like for the Knicks right now this off season is trading for a star and trying to utilize their picks this year to do that and if they can’t they’re definitely going to utilize one of their picks in the first round to try to get very Stout wi Defender Ryan done and I can’t say I’m mad at that given the injury history of OG and anobi you need to think about the Knicks of the future and Ryan done given his defensive intensity especially under a head coach like Tom thibo I can understand the move and I definitely supported Steph Bondi of the New York Post said the following about the Knicks on Mike Scott podcast one thing about Leon Rose he hasn’t been shy about doing his wheeling and dealing on draft night I think where the Knicks are I don’t think they’re going to have much use for their two picks in the late first round I think they’re going to try and swap them out whether that’s to consolidate them to one pick or to get another player but this is why I love having three NBA insiders that cover the league and definitely cover the Knicks talking about this topic here because as you can see while Bondi believes that the Knicks are likely going to trade the picks and Scot believes that the Knicks will try to trade the picks only if a star player is available bagely believes that regardless of who’s available the Knicks are likely going to still draft one player and then see what they can do with their other picks this is what Bagley had to say about the situation I actually disagree I’m going to say that the Knicks make at least one of those first round picks and if they can move off of one to kick two years down the road maybe they do that the picks in this year’s draft aren’t valued highly I think they’d make at least if not two of those three picks they have you talk about the salary cap and spending and those rookie deals are better than signing a veteran free agent to similar length deals shout out to these great NBA insiders for coming together and giving us their Insight regarding the Knicks and what they’re likely going to do come draft night as you heard basically Michael Scot and Ian Bagley both stated that if the Knicks can’t trade for that star player they’re likely going to utilize at least one of their picks and draft the player in the first round and if they do that that player is likely going to be Ryan Dunn if he’s available any he falls but that also depends on all the players that are available once the Knicks are drafting remember the Knicks have two first round picks in this year’s draft 24 and 25 and then they have that early second round pick number 38 and again anything can happen in this year’s draft regardless of how you feel about the talent level in this year’s draft the fact of the matter is there’s a lot of players that potentially could drop and fall and if that happens that’s going to change the course of the Knicks and their actions come draft night maybe they have their eyes set on a really good wing and that Wing right now is Ryan done but if a center that they really like drops maybe that kid from Purdue Edy drops and they really like him like his fit and think they can develop him then maybe they draft him if they do that it basically sets off a chain reaction and changes more or less everything that they were looking to do come this off season we have to remember draft night starts everything off because I imagine come draft night the Knicks are going to draft some players but they’re also going to be making some trades as well too trades to get some more assets trades for some impactful players and if a star player is a available and they covet that star and their value is not too high and the trade makes sense you can bet that Leon Rose is going to pounce and try to get that player on this team I don’t know who that player’s going to be yet I don’t know who that team’s going to be yet there are a lot of potential trades that are going to go down on draft night I’m not saying that the Knicks are looking to draft up and potentially look to get a player at 15 16 or 17 but if they’re looking to do that and they’re looking to move up in this year’s draft you can bet that they’re like going to have to include some players as well as those picks to do so and if they’re looking to Target a specific player that means they have a role for him and I wouldn’t mind if they did that because the thing about rookies and drafting them is if you draft a rookie your main goal for that rookie should be to elevate him showcase what he can do and get his value up actually playing that rookie if we’re going to draft and do that I have no problem with it that’s why we have to make sure the players that we draft are ready to play right now have an impact right now and can play Under Tom fiido right now that’s why Mike Scot is suggesting that the Knicks draft Ryan D because he’s ready to start contributing to an NBA team immediately especially on defense offensively we can talk to wbl in the face regarding his skill what he can do good what he can’t do well and things like that but defensively again under Tom thibo that’s exactly what you need backup for OG an anobi that’s exactly what you need you need to draft what you need and even according to Ian Bagley what makes sense for the Knicks is drafting the players that you need so they’re on rookie deals that’s more favorable for you if you’re looking to trade for that star sometime down the road or even this off season those rookie contracts will come in handy because they’re not going to hit your cap too hard and right now that’s what the Knicks are worried about they don’t want to be in the first apron they definitely don’t want to be in the second apron they want to be outside of that and how do you do that draft well make the right trads for the right players and make sure everything you’re doing for this team is contributing to the Future helping to build that Contender and making us an even better team than we were last year if that’s the moves and that’s the goal there’s not going to be any uproar from the fans any issues from anybody and it looks like that’s exactly what Leon Rose and this Nicks front office is looking to do they want to draft well but they also want to make the right trades and they understand right now they are in the best position and have the most assets at their disposal to make the right move happen all they have to do is remain patient and that includes in the draft as well just because somebody Falls doesn’t mean you have to run and draft them you have to look at all players available what you need and potentially if you grab a player that you don’t need but you know another team could potentially utilize them what does that do for you could you trade that player and get another first round pick or potentially a player of impact for you that’s what Leon Rose has to think about as long as the player that the Knicks trade for makes sense and contributes to what we’re trying to build an NBA championship Contender each and every year I’m never going to have a problem with any moves that Leon Rose does I just hope he doesn’t waste the opportunity I remember a few seasons ago we came off of a very good playoff series and we didn’t capitalize on the momentum instead we went the opposite way we cannot do that this off season and it looks like Leon Rose in this Nicks front office is committed to not doing that we are going to draft well as long as we can’t trade these picks for a star and we’re going to make sure we make the right trades this is the regime of Leon Rose worldwide West and Gerson Rosas and as long as these guys are in the front office we are not going to make a rushed move or the wrong move we are going to make a move that helps this Knicks franchise get better each and every year and it’s going to continue this off season I don’t know that star player that the Knicks are going to Target but as soon as we get that disgruntled star players list we’re going to know exactly what players the Knicks are going to pounce on and try to get on this team and I cannot wait until that list is revealed but what about you guys what do you think about these latest reports indicating that the Knicks are likely going to draft Ryan dun on draft night if he’s available in the first round they could also utilize those piics to try to trade for a star if that becomes available let me know how you feel about the Nick’s draft night plans in the comments Below guys because honestly I would love to hear from you but that’s going to do it for this episode I hope you enjoyed it and if you did go ahead and smash that like button leave a comment below and of course guys please subscribe to the channel until next time Nick fans peace

10 a.m? ..like clock work. Yall gotta remember, Immanuel Quigley was the 24th overall pick in his draft so there is a chance we get a GameChanger at 24th or 25th. I think the knicks will keep one and trade one…in Leon we trust.🙏🏾🟠🔵🗽
As long Tom Thibs is the coach we will going backwards we where the youngest team in the league and we are going to be the oldest
No one knows what the knicks are going to do other than the Knicks front office. Everything else is pure speculation. Literally zero new news here. Claickbait.
Why would the Knicks let other teams know who they would pick.
I wish they would draft Ryan Dunn and let OG walk. Brunson, Divo, Hart and Randle are able to play huge big mins. Let Thibs actually develop "his" guy instead of just Severely Overpaying
Sounds like it's logical to me Troy
