Yes I want him but I’m 99% sure “testing the free agent market” is just a ploy for the Knicks offer him more money

Love him but too injured

player with extensive injury history for $40M/year? Hell nah

Throw the absolute bag at him. Either we get a perfect player to fit our team, or we make a conference team pay a massive contract. Win Win

We’d have to give him 4/160 which would leave us only 23 mil in space.
I’d rather trade 5 and Stew for Grant, Thybull, and 14 and go out and sign monk and Claxton while resigning Tek.

It’d be great but it’s not happening

The sub doesn’t want to sign anyone in FA unless they’re All-NBA level or a soon to be overpaid role player.

OG is extremely overrated. He’s injury prone, a mediocre scorer for a starting forward, and struggles to create his own shot. His injury history can’t be highlighted enough, in the past 5 seasons he’s averaged 51 games played, and only because of an outlier season where he played 67 games in 22-23. In 4 of the last 5 seasons he hasn’t played over 50 games. There’s also strong statistical evidence OG has been regressing the last few years. With the injury history factored in it’s reasonable to assume his prime will be cut short.
He brings a lot of positives with his defense and three point shooting. However, for the contract his concerning injury history and lackluster offensive production don’t offset his positives, and by a long-shot in my opinion.

NY won’t let him go. They didn’t trade for him for nothing.

I’d love it, but I don’t think he’d come play in Detroit.
