5 Moves Heat MUST Make To Beat The Boston Celtics Next Season

5 Moves Heat MUST Make To Beat The Boston Celtics Next Season

[Music] well it’s official Heat fans the NBA off season is here after the Celtics finished off the NBA Finals with a series win in five games but who cares it’s time to talk more about what the Heat and what they need to do this off season to make sure next year they can beat the Boston Celtics in the playoffs rather than losing in five games themselves in the first round which is why you need to be subscribed to the channel because we are going to have the best information on the heat all offseason long be the most informed plan or fan on the planet when it comes to rumors news we’ll have it all hit that sub button right now I did want to know this this is the worst day ever it really is the fact that I have to live in a world where the Boston Celtics are NBA champions and will be for the next 12 months is not a world that I want to live in and it honestly sickens me which is why the heat need to make some moves to make themselves be in a better position in the postseason so they can be the champions of the NBA so we have three moves that we’re going to talk about today with specific players like we’re going to talk about overarching themes that Miami needs to do in order for them to be back in the NBA finals and hopefully win it next year number one I think you need a dynamic scorer in the back court because when you look at what the Celtics have on their team they have so many good Defenders is that you need someone to take the pressure off Jimmy and Bam at times and have a overall attack on the offensive end so that you don’t have to do what Dallas did and rely on two guys to do everything you need someone to be in the back court to take some pressure but Jimmy and Bam can still do their thing so it’s very difficult to double and really Force the ball out of someone’s hands like the Celtics did with Luca donic and the Maverick so who could three people possibly be two of them are realistic one of them we’ll talk about in depth about why it’s unlikely but Donovan Mitchell K Cavaliers the number one trade Target for the Miami Heat Trey young is someone that I’m starting to grow on more and more after seeing some of these moves and runs made in the playoffs is something that he can use and then one that we’ll talk about more in depth than we haven’t really talked about in this offseason Paul George with the Los Angeles Clippers but let’s start with this because it is the truth the entire NBA offseason hinges on what Donovan Mitchell elects to do he is eligible to sign a 4-year long-term extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers they have yet to name a head coach that is likely going to happen this week prior to the draft or at least you would think that would be the case but he it’s the biggest move because if he doesn’t sign an extension well guess what that means he might be available via trade and would likely be available for trade with the Miami Heat but if he signs an extension the heat will have to Pivot and look elsewhere and that means other teams around the association will do that as well and could these two be some intriguing options for the Miami Heat Trey young and Paul George we’ve talked about Trey Young on the channel a little bit extensively over the last three weeks or so because of how Dynamic he is offensively averaging 25 a game damn near 11 assist the efficiency isn’t as what you would think it is but if he were to be here with bam and Jimmy when they take some pressure off of him which he’s always had the pressure on Atlanta maybe he is someone that could become more efficient and be and also star type guard for the Miami Heat but Paul George is an intriguing name because he fits the mold of Miami Heat players two-way guy does anything to win and yes I know it’s been some rough moments for Paul George in the postseason but he could handle the rock extremely well he can score and create his own shot offensively and just shot 41% from Beyond The Arc this past year he can play the one but play the two he can defend an opposing guard at a pretty high clip and create probably the best two-way Trio in the entire NBA with Jimmy Butler and Bam but I will say it is very unlikely that Paul George to the heat happens even though I think it would be a fun fit for Miami but here is where the thing stands with Paul George because he does have a player option for this NBA off season $ 48.7 million option he could opt into that and stay with the clippers but reports are that he wants a long-term deal so if he doesn’t get that long-term deal offered to him by the Clippers could he opt out and hit the open market I think it’s possible now it’d be tough for Miami to get him because there’s teams like Orlando and Philly who have unbelievable amount of cap space and a need for Paul George so they could throw a bag at him if the heat were to get Paul George it would have to be via sent trade they simply do not have the money to offer Paul George but they could do that if they sent out some contracts alongside it now it would hard cap Miami which would make things a little more difficult to move forward in the future kind of what happened to Phoenix with KD Beal and Booker but if you wanted to go the route of Paul George this would likely be what happens you get Paul George on a threeyear $150 million deal that’s what I would anticipate the heat offering him if they did do a side and trade 50 mil a year it’s more than what he is getting in that player option he also gets the long-term security and the heat to match salary would give up Tyler hero and Duncan Robinson now the cap pit for Miami by the way or they’d have to send out would only have to be $45 million to match because that’s what Paul George made last season before the contract kicks in that you give him so you give away hero and Duncan you might ask yourself why would the Clippers do this well if you’re not going to give him a long-term deal and he’s going to leave in free agency anyway whether it be to Philly or Orlando but wouldn’t you try to steer Paul George to Miami so you can get a couple pieces back to surround Kawhi ler and James Harden who they like to resign likely so the Clippers this makes a lot of sense for them if they’re going to lose Paul George regardless but it’s all a question is if Miami should make this move because it would hardap them and you lose Tyler hero and Duncan but you get that third guy that you have been searching for alongside Jimmy and Bam who’s been an excellent regular season player in his career would you do this move for Paul George give him the three-year supermax and trade hero and Duncan if you would type y if you want to stay away Type n all right the second thing the heat need to do this off seon and I would actually put this in a realm of this needs to happen even if they don’t add a dynamic score to the back court but you need to add versatile size and what do I mean by that as we titled this video to beat the Boston Celtics and become the best team in the NBA you need to be able to match their versatility in their size you need to have guys that are long athletic that can switch on to all of their wings guards and then specifically Chris stops porzingis just think about the Celtics starting lineup Drew holiday 63 good Defender wingspan Derek white 64 68 wingspan good Defender Jaylen Brown Jason Tatum length athleticism and then porzingis and Al Horford like you need to have that of your own you can’t go small with Caleb Martin at the four that’s why it’s important for nicoa yovic to take that next step but if you could add another guy alongside yic and Bam that maybe takes over and can be an offensive threat as well that is where Kyle kosma becomes the potential answer for the Miami Heat kozma’s got the size he’s got the ability to score in isolation I love what kozma’s been able to do over his career in terms of improving on a year-to-year basis like I’m I’m a big fan of kman we’ve stayed this in the past and just want to revisit his measurables here because he’s 69 which would be a very good size for power for he’s strong at 221 and he’s got a good wingspan at 7 feet like he is became or become I should say my number two trade Target for the Miami if they’re looking to make an addition to this roster outside of the draft in free agency one is doin Mitchell and then two for me is Kyle kozma because he can be a scorer now a lot of his buckets come on volume on a bad Wizards team I’m not going to try to act like it doesn’t but he would become more efficient and I think he’d become a better three-point shooter especially in catch and shoot situations playing alongside Jimmy and Bam and you would now have a front Court of bam kosma Jimmy where you can switch everything defensively you can also trust them to do their own thing on the offensive end of the floor and I believe kozma’s uptick and offensive efficiency if he were to come to Miami would help them fit offensively from a spacing perspective I am a massive fan of adding kozma to this roster and I don’t think he’s very expensive at all I think it would only cost one first round pick and maybe salary filler like it obviously have to fill salary but a Duncan first and second round pick offer to Washington could that get it done it’s intriguing to see want to make sure you are reminded to hit that sub button because we do put out videos every single day and as the draft is eight days away you’ll want to stay up to date on everything for the Miami Heat so hit that sub button help us out join the channel another example of adding size versatility or a lot of people are calling it functional size for Miami on Twitter in the podcast space right now L Markin is another guy and this is someone that is empty the clip like you’d have to trade probably yic hakz and hero to get him you might think that’s too much but if you want to Prime out of Utah because of how young he is and how ascending he is as a player and how people could believe he’s a second or top option on a contending team well then you’re going to have to empty your entire asset tray and Markin who is similar to kzo to where good size good three-point shooter well Markin is a much better three-point shooter than Kyle kma but the size the switching ability the potential score and isolation settings as well just like fits so perfectly with bam and Jimmy to where Markin in could be someone I’m interested in but I don’t know if Utah is willing to part ways with him and I also don’t believe that Miami would be interested because they can’t really empty the entire roster with their cap situation they need to keep some of these young guys are playing for cheap all right this one’s a little bit of a Downer if I’m going to be honest to end out the show but moves needed if you don’t get any of these two you could just pivot towards the future and I know that might be hard to hear but I don’t want to do it either but there is a realistic outcome here that if you can’t land a massive upgrade like a Dage Trey young Paul George Lori maraden I wouldn’t call kba a massive upgrade but he does help this roster quite a bit and is a solid mid tier move to really boost this roster up my opinion but if you don’t do any of these moves and trade for any of these guys and you just stick with your draft pick and your middle free your little bit of money you could spend for agency there’s a chance you could pivot and look towards the future like I said I don’t want to trade Jimmy I want to keep him here and see what can happen in the final two or three years of his contract in Miami before he becomes completely washed but I’m not trying to deny the fact that if he wants a long-term deal Miami is not willing to give it to him maybe you do trade him and you pivot to a bam build and just look for him for the future because like there are moves that are out there to get you on the same tier as the Boston Celtics in the postseason but there’s very few of them so if you run out of them might just be best to look towards the future I don’t want to do it but it is a realistic outcome all right before we head out of here I want to know what you think I talked about what the heat can do this off season to potentially get on the same tier as the boss Celtics in the Eastern Conference but what move do the heat need to make in your opinion to beat Boston and reclaim their top spot in the Eastern Conference which they’ve held for two of The Last Five Seasons let me know down below make sure you do 1. I think the number 1 move is health. Celtics were healthy, rest of the teams weren't. That's usually the case with championships but I don't think I've seen a championship run with such an extreme as this one was

  2. Last year it was "how the Heat can beat Nuggets" now its "beat the Celtics" .. It's about winning a championship.

  3. Right now to be honest they can't get it done they don't got a center Bam is under size small ball doesn't work.

  4. Just like Mitchell if George wants it to happen it will.
Jonathan Isaac make less than Kuzma and is a more impactful player, injury concerns aside also Naz Reid

  5. Miami cant afford a sign and trade because it would hard cap them and they would be a second apron team

  6. Get a guard ( mitchell or murray), get kuzma, extend jimmy, trade hero, and keep jovic ( and jamie if possible)

  7. Heat trade Herro and a future pick from Kings for Malik Monk or trade up top 5. Heat draft Zach Edey and Hunter Sallis probably most underrated best PG in the 2nd round, ZYON Pullin, Keshad Johnson, or Antonio Reeves. Zach Edey is NBA ready, great touch on offense, can pass out the double, and when you need an easy bucket. Sign Jonas in free agency. I love this teams chance with the new roster after this move. If you trade Jimmy it has to be 5 first round draft pick and 2 young players. If you go for Lauri, you give herro, 2 future first round pick, and sign and trade Highsmith

Dejounte or Hunter Sallis or ZYON PULLIN, Keshad Johnson Terry or Malik Monk

    Niko Jaime

    Jimmy Duncan

    Bam Kevin Love

Zach Edey Jonas Val or Nic Claxton

  8. GET PAUL GEORGE!!!!! BECAUSE I’VE HAD ENOUGH & WE ARE NOT GONNA BE A PLAY IN TEAM EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! 💯🔥💪

  9. Donovan Mitchell is still my #1 priority
Can't land him go after the likes of Dejounte Murray Trae Young Lauri Markkanen Brandon Ingram Kyle Kuzma etc can't sit here and run it back

Retool this roster the best way you can

  10. draft zach edey for 7’4” rim protection. get kevin durant and Trae young or donovan mitchell. everyone is trade able except bam
