1) Sam Vecenie thinks it’s more likely that Toppin just walks in RFA or we give him the qualifying offer.
2) He threw out a trade of both Walker and Mathurin for Mikal Bridges. The salaries don’t work, but honestly I’m not opposed to that idea on paper. Neither of those guys are going to be in the starting lineup and it’s a really bad look if we can’t get our highest draft picks in 30+ years in the starting 5. Consolidating for Bridges is the ultimate sell-high move, but I’m afraid the Nets would want a lot more.
