If they could magically erase Tim’s money right now they still won’t have space for Klay unless GS wanted to facilitate some sort of S&T (not sure what they would get out of that). The better question is do you really wanna take a $20M+ per year flyer on Klay? For multiple years?

I mean, sure, having Klay is better than not having Klay, but he’s not going to take the MLE to join us, and I don’t see why the Warriors would take on Tim right now, they will want to maximize the remaining years of All Star caliber Steph.
Also I’m not sure it’s a good idea to be tied to 2 guards enter their mid 30s on big money contracts.

Warriors can’t wait to get rid of him for a reason, he’s been that bad. If he was even average they’d pay him as a legacy player because he won rings with the team

At least Klay might have a resurgence with a fresh start and a different role. I feel like his struggle is mental, saying he’s the same guy as before, but he looks like he’s chasing his own ghost out there at times.
Shooting touch is one of the few things players can actually improve with age. No way a sharp shooter like klay just lose his shooting abilities like that. Maybe he’s not able to be as quick but Luka and Kyrie will give him plenty of spacing to shoot.
