His agent works for OG. He does not work for his father. He does not work for the Knicks. If he tells OG to take a pay cut to help his dad build a team, not only would OG fire him, but so would his agency. OG will get the best contract he can. He isn’t brainwashed by Roses son to give the Knicks a discount.

What? Of course he’s going to get way more than 4/120m. That’s the sort of contract the Raptors could have offered as an extension last year, and everyone knew it wasn’t going to be enough even then. The question is whether it’ll be a contract starting at $35m or $38m or $42m. I haven’t even heard optimistic Knicks fans on reddit thinking they’d get him for less than starting at around $35m.
It will be interesting to see what the final contracts are for pascal and OG and how our books look compared to if we had kept them.
If they want to keep him it’s going to have to be more than 4/120M, yeah.

I think OG is a perfect example of where teams need to use performance-based incentives more for these guys who are not-quite-max level guys. Something like $36m guaranteed, and up to $40m on a games played or playoff rounds achieved incentive would make so much sense.
