"There are other teams that love Bronny. For example, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors. If it's not the Lakers, it will be someone else. Minnesota would love to get Bronny in, but I don't know who their owner is going to be. [Mavs GM] Nico Harrison is like an uncle to Bronny. If the Lakers don't take him at 55, Dallas would take him at 58 and give him a guaranteed deal. Masai [Ujiri, Raptors president], loves him. They could take him without even seeing him at 31. Workouts aren't everything for these teams."

Our old front office:
6′ 2″ and can’t shoot?
Bronny – you are official a Dallas Maverick
I don’t know about y’all but I trust Nico. Whether signing Bronny is about developing him into a championship piece or simply sacrificing a pawn to grow powerful relationships in the industry I’m with it.
Do your thing Nico! Keep cookin!
*yawn*
I mean, end of 2nd round pick typically is a nothing pick anyway.
A 2nd rounder in this draft means nothing. Especially one at 68
Tbf Dallas has a good track record of developing guys but…..take him only if you actually think he can be something
Man nobody would be saying anything remotely close to this about Donnie Nelson if he was still the mavs GM
He’s not making it to 58, nepotism game on lock….
But if he fell to 58, fuck it, by regular season some team would give up more than that to either attract or appease his sponsor…. Errr, lebron
Who cares, it’s a #58 pick. We already picked Kostas Antetokounmpo with a late pick once. It’s a crapshoot at that point anyway, a glorified undrafted rookie, might as well spend it on Bronny and try to insallah LeBron on a cheap contract
Honestly move up those pick are worthless anyway and grab him to get lebron
We’re only getting him to sign bron. Who cares how he develops
He averages 4.8 pts per game
It’s unfortunate that Lebron really doesn’t want to leave LA cause I’m fairly confident he’d be on our roster next season otherwise. There’s so many connections.
I mean we took Satnam Singh while ago in 2nd round
Taking Bronny won’t even be bad
If he’s available as 2nd round draft pick that late in the round, I think it’s totally fair and okay to use it for Bronny. Any team blowing a 1st round pick is insane but a late 2nd round draft pick based purely on the potential to be even just a quarter of the player LeBron is I think is 100% worth it.
Eh whatever, 58th pick is a total crapshoot
There are zero teams that love Bronny.
This looks like the textbook example of pressuring the Lakers to take him at 55. Dallas is presented as a sure floor just below the Lakers, to communicate that he is not there as an undrafted player. The Raptors as a ceiling that he could be a worthy 31st pick, and no one will think Bronny if sliding if they go with someone else. Jut throw in the Timberwolves, and an excuse with it at the same time, so its a “crowd”. I’m not buying any of it being real real.
It’s pick 58 yall calm down
If Rich Paul is talking about the Mavs’ GM, that’s a good thing for this franchise.
Bronny getting to learn how to be a point guard from Luka, Kyrie and Kidd, I’m sure Bron would be very OK with that situation.
So how does Lebron fit into the team?
Agents using the Mavericks to bolster their client’s value is one of the oldest traditions in the NBA. Don’t fall for it.
Honestly people who get mad at this (not just Mavs fans tbh) just weird to me. Like its a second round in a weak draft. Who cares. Plus this dudes father is Lebron literally one of the most hardworking athlete out there. Obv he cant gave natural talent to his kid but all of his working ethic he might develop better than other kids (obv it can happen the opposite, rich kid saying fuck it and continuing his life lol)
If it means we get LeBron at a vet min. I’m all for it. We might be a 40 year old LeBron away from winning it all next year.
His comparables are interesting. Miles McBride, Gary Harris, and Christin Braun are all strong roster guys. The no two way contract thing hurts him though because he is not Jaden Hardy and will need a couple years in G League.
We’re really sitting in here with a straight face talking about the 58th pick in the draft
Mavs gonna have their own version of Jrue and DWhite with Bronny!😎
Hard pass.
