of course you got to have a backup option if LeBron James and Paul George don’t work out for Daryl Mory he’s got to have a backup option why not give a guy like miles bridges that opportunity now I’m not going to comment or give an opinion about his case that he pled no contest to that’s your opinion I’m not the commissioner anything I’m just here talking about sports so again I do not support DV or you know anything against women or children so but with that being said miles Bridges is a guy who I think he’s stayed away from trouble and he’s been able to play he one of the few players that we’ve seen miss a entire year and come back and arguably be better than he was before he he had the year off and in 69 games playing 37 minutes night he had a career-high 21 points on 46% from the field 35% from three 7 and a half rebounds three and a half assists about a steal a game and about half block now the report is the Sixers have interest in Miles Bridges and he’s expected to get at least a $100 million contract however the deal is expected to be very similar to well the deal deal is expected be similarly kind of protective that they’ll have language kind of like Kevin Porter Jr where if X Y and Z happens deal is voided it’s null and if it’ll have protection dates which means like they have every year probably they’ll have trigger dates that they’ll have a window before they the deal gets guaranteed which then allows them to wave him with no cost and that way miles Bridges still gets paid and the team still gets an insurance policy a win wins because that way he still gets the contract that he deserves for his play now what is that deal going to look like I think a 4year 120 million 4E 115 RJ Barrett and kind yeah like RJ Barrett and male Bridges both got I think what 107 no not my apology Andrew Wiggins got 100 RJ beer got 107 Andrew Wiggins got 109 and that seems like the new rate for those types of wings and we would say miles is just a little bit better than them so 115 120 and the old rate for wings like Kell Johnson male Bridges and those guys and DeAndre Hunter they all got like 90 million in that that rat’s gone so Action Network was the one who reported this for me it it makes sense if you mix miss out on that you give out what it for the first year of a deal of like aund let’s say 107 will follow like Julius randle’s contract which the first year it had an annual average of $29 million so if you’re a team like the Philadelphia 76ers next year going into next year just looking at their books just how they how they have them they’re going to be the team with the most cap space they currently only have $61 million in guaranteed salary which is Joel embiid Paul Reed you assume you got to put in what the the contract let’s throw in Tyrese Maxi Maxi’s Max contract is going to probably be $35 million so you do 35 + 29 that’s 54 M no I’m $64 million that you would be adding if you signed miles Bridges and Tyrese miles to the deal that I’m saying on a 20 9 million average and if you front loaded it would be 29 if you you know depending on how you you can make the cap hit as low as I believe 20 I feel like the 27 M I think the final year you can make it as low as 27 million and you could make it as high as 29 so or 26 my apology 26 so depending how you structure that you can make it that this year has a lower either way you would still have way more money to spend now that means basically if you’re adding $54 million only you’re at $115 million which the salary cap floor is41 so just to get to the floor you still have $35 $30 million $25 million to play with and then to hit the luxury tax which is1 170 million you still have $55 million to play with which is another Max contract and they could be incentivized instead of paying Paul George and Klay Thompson the max they could be like all right we do that and then we’ll go out and we’ll spend money on other free agents like let’s just say free agents that if they were to spend $55 million who could they spend that on outside of you know the two guys they signed CU right there if you sign those two dudes you brought you have Jeff dton Ricky Council miles Bridges Tyrese Maxi Paul Reed Joel embiid you need nine more dudes you assume a couple minimums but maybe you sign cavius cwell Pope to a $20 million deal and you still have $35 million to play with and that $35 million could be spent on maybe bringing back Kelly Uber on a three-year $35 million deal which is like maybe 11 point something so right there you spent 31 you have eight dudes so you still have a few more roster spots left you could go out and see if you want to bring in a guy like Kyle Anderson on like a you know a $7 million deal okay you right there $38 million you have now spent nine rosters you still have six more spots you go out see if you’re bringing back KY Lowry on a minimum so that’s not really affecting anything so you at 10 you have five more spots to look for you could try and I think bringing back DeAnthony Milton would be solid and he would be a guy that you he made 8 million this year I think bringing back on a similar contract would also help you out so at that point you’re at what you have 46 spent you still have like 9 million and I think that money could be brought in and you you’ve brought in already 11 dudes and spreading it around now try to get like guys like Jaylen Smith or Dario sarich a Gordon Hayward and aoran Prince Lonnie Walker Noni Marshall are all all guys that I think they should be looking at Goga bits a day I think combination of the guys are V veteran minimums and or you know partial like by annual exceptions or they’ll have the non- taxpayer mid- level so there’s legit deals that they can go out and basically get a combination of dudes like my opinion is you go get miles who’s just a tier below Paul George maybe the same Leo tier as Klay Thompson if not better he’s going to be cheaper than both of those guys because of his past and you’ll be able to get more players that way I don’t know why but I’ve talked myself into the Philadelphia 76ers getting miles bridges in my opinion that’s just a win-win situation for everyone involved like why wouldn’t you do that that like you just would enable yourself to have way more c space probably to assign players and again I’m not saying that they’re get all those guys those are I’m just shooting out names of like guys who actually fit what the roster is going to do
