Anyone else have one of these? About 75 pages of early 90s writing about the first 25 years of the Pacers along with the 91-92 roster and season by season stats. I’m planning to scan the whole thing so if anyone is interested I’ll put it up here.
The history portion starts by talking about how bad the traffic was on 38th street for the first game at the Fairground Coliseum and they ended up being over capacity for the game and there’s this gem:
“It hasn’t always been that joyous, of course, but the Pacers enter their 25th season of trying to create traffic jams this year. Certain seasons have produced some major snarls; in other years, the streets have opened up and practically begged fans to come take a peek. But they survived, which at times has been challenge enough.”
