Jerry West won the 1969 playoffs MVP title even the Celtics won the series. It should be Luka this year too. He averaged 28.9 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.1 assists in 22 games, leading the average team to NBA finals, and keeping it there all alone. Luka and Jokic are indeed the true MVPs, and the most versatile players in the NBA. However, after six years of non American (including Embiid at the time) players taking the MVP titles like picking up pebbles, one of the titles needed to be American and League needed to have some American names on top. Brown had a magnificent run during the 2024 playoffs, with almost a complete team behind him, but far from Luka's almost solo run.

The FMVP award is more depreciating Tatum than appreciating Brown. Both are mediocre leaders. Very low shooting rates. Celtics deserve the champion because the team has super depth. Porzingis looked really dominant when he was on court. If he had played all 5 games, he would have been FMVP.
