“There have been several teams that have expressed a desire to move to No. 3 but there are three teams, according to team and league sources that have been most vocal: Charlotte, Memphis and Portland. ” Per Kelly Iko

Directly following this statement, Iko says that Memphis and Charlotte have been the most aggressive. He also mentions that the teams moving up would most likely be hoping to land Sheppard or Clingan.

Given previous smoke and our current needs, i think its safe to assume Blazers are eyeing Clingan.

Out of curiosity what would y’all be ok with giving up to move to #3? I’ve heard some outlandish offers like #7, #14, and Anfernee.

  2. Would be 14 and a vet for me. I am a pro Salaun guy, I don’t see him falling past 7.

I’ll be so disappointed if we make a move like this to just end up with Clingan. Athletic wings early and often please.

14 and Brog for 3? Pick at 3 and 7? Grab Clingan at 3 and one of the wings at 7? Yeah sign me the fuck up

  5. Moving up for Clingan wouldnt really excite me seeing as he’s not even my first choice at 7… so the only way i’d see this as a win is if we use 14 and an asset to grab 3 so we can still grab a wing at 7.

Who we would move up to 3 for is gonna depend on who is on the board. If Sarr is somehow still on the board at 3, Moving up to 3 is a good decision. If it’s for Clingan, not so sure.

If they did this and still kept #7, then I’d be okay with the trade.

  8. With lots of rumors about Clingan going #1 to the Hawks, that would leave us Sarr or (most likely) Risacher at 3. If that’s the case on draft night I’d say pull the trigger but I wouldn’t make any moves before the Hawks pick.

Only person I want to move up for is Risacher. Sounds like he’s going 2 so I see no point in moving up.

Would so much rather use any assets we have to trade for picks in future drafts

Man, HOLD THE LINE. I wouldn’t mind giving up 14. But, we need to find a way to keep 7. I for one still think we can land Cody or Ron at 7 and then take a gamble on someone at 14.
