The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals Presented by YouTube TV to win the 2024 NBA Finals, 4-1.

Jaylen Brown was voted as series MVP and awarded The Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award. He averaged 20.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 5.0 APG across the series.

With the series win, the Celtics now have 18 NBA Championships, breaking a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers and giving them the most in NBA history.

    Congrats to Jaylen Brown for MVP. As a fan it has been great to watch his steady growth as a player to get to this moment. Also congrats to the Mavs for a good season and playoff. I expect we will seee them again soon. This was a collective team accomplishmentso shout-out to fold like Pritchard, True, and big Al Hereford who all live up the celtics tradition of playing your best and winning with grace and class.

    It should be 24/25 champion not 23/24 because the nuggets won it last year in 2023 then the following year should be 25/26 champions. Y'all should correct the dates
