[Charania] The Sixers lack of interest in pursuing Paul George in recent days comes from the team’s desire to “be aggressive” in the marketplace heading up to the draft – instead of waiting for George to hit free agency.

“The signal that they’re giving teams around the league is they are open for business … they feel like over the next week or so, they can be aggressive and if there’s an option that presents itself, they can move on and not have to wait on Paul George in free agency.”

100% makes sense. Most stars drag out their free agency decision for like a week. A lot of guys get signed like those first 3 days of free agency. Its better to be proactive versus waiting on a decision for PG and miss out on a lot of signings

  2. Which makes a lot of sense. Waiting around for free agency while other teams make trades is how you get burned

I mean if they don’t want to wait around doesn’t this basically rule out OG as well? It’d be for the same reason, so logically they’re looking to trade for a player, so it’s probably jimmy or Bi at this point

Lol PG doing his best to piss away 200M between his podcast and this shit, watch him ending up opting in and traded, to then sign have a much smaller market next offseason

Kinda like what happened to Harden

We’re 100% pushing for LaVine or OG

I would much rather trade all our pics for lauri and still have cap space than trade for a 35 year old jimmy butler and have no cap space

This ends with Jimmy here…. Not a fan of it but maybe he can stay healthy as a 3rd option

This report doesn’t even mean we don’t want PG. It means we don’t want teams waiting around and we don’t want the Clippers thinking they have the leverage.
