Indiana Pacers Pre-Draft Workouts: Isaac Jones 1-on-1 Interview (June 18, 2024)

ISAC how’ the workout go today it was good it was fun uh competitive and I’ll do it again if I could what are you trying to show teams during this process that there’s more to my game than what they saw like I can stretch the floor and uh compete like I’m a competitor so you’ve had a busy last couple of months I know you’re in Portsmith and then you went to the G League elag Camp got the invite to the combine what do you think has allowed you to impress teams over the past couple months definitely uh I think who I am as a person and how I carry myself and then my motor and and tangibles like that what of your skills do you think best transl to the next level definitely my motor and um my competitiveness what role do you see yourself playing in the NBA high energy guy off the bench or starting doesn’t matter whatever God gives me the opportunity and then uh just being effective affecting the game any way I can even scoring rebounding passing the past couple years you stepped up in competition each year as you transferred schools how do you think that’s helped prepare you for the next level it’s always fun you know went from Jo Step Up had to prove people wrong and then went to a power five had to do the same thing so I’m expecting to do the same thing at the next level it’s it’s just fun going against all these skilled dudes and competitive guys you’ve had such a unique journey to get to this point what would it mean to you to make it to the NBA everything uh I mean I even though I started late my dream started late it still means just as much as me as any of these other guys so everything you mentioned feeling like you have to prove people wrong do you feel like you carry a chip on your shoulder through this process oh for sure definitely carry a chip at every level there’s always questions like can you do it again and uh just keep proving people wrong so I’m going to go with the same mentality once I get up here [Music]
