get through the regular season and ready for a long playoff run and you know the youngest Derek white and porzingis man I see this te this team can get at least three of them I think so I think they can get at least three out of the next five so so counting this year so in the next four years they can get two at least Pete their diversity and their depth actually thinks helps the longevity of this team the fact that all of them don’t have to score 30 50 60 bro all them guys can be at a good 2025 and if everybody’s hitting on a 20 bro who you going to stop cuz Derek white got better man all teams so I had to work out for Clippers I worked out for Vancouver at the time which is Memphis Grizzlies now Denver Toronto and Golden State all good cities all cities yeah and all M was individual too I didn’t work out with nobody no usually you know they sometimes how you bring you in with somebody and go one on ones three or four guys no I think I I think I think I had one workout I had I did have one workout with a multiple people and I think it was like me I think it was like maybe Ruben Patterson or bonsy Wells or something I don’t know it was one workout was a couple guys there maybe Ricky Davis I don’t know some other perimeter dudes I can’t remember but all most of them were just workouts they going to put you through the shooting they going to get you to you know the lateral the the the the weights uh most of them only lasted like one hour though really yeah but the crazy part of that I didn’t go to none of those teams that I worked out for you hear that you just know everybody who watching this I want yall go do an hour of a workout I don’t care what you do walk somewhere run somewhere hour Yeah by yourself but to get ready for it I was ready for all my workouts cuz I remember I came home I was at the Dooms I was at the stairs I was getting shots up at UCLA I was going ones I was going FES I was getting ready though so you know cuz you don’t you don’t really know at the time I didn’t had no trainer either though you know everybody got a trainer they know what to expect in these workouts TIY I’m going to these like I just know I got a workout for these teams right I just know that’s all I know so you just you just you just doing I’m just I’m just doing what I know me and we in the gym D we pushing each other shout to J Crow you know what I’m saying so that’s like I didn’t have nobody telling me all right this the drills you got to do man I was just doing I’m out here let’s man Jay let’s go on all right let’s get some jumpers up all right let’s have a trainer and that one trainer is teaching multiple guys the same move the same that’s why the move package looks the way it looks that’s why C look like Tatum Tatum looking like you know what travel so the teams were more teams felt teams felt like was um teams felt like to me that they were irritated that they had to do extra [ __ ] to accommodate yeah like you know conversation with Pat Riley he seemed to be irritated conversation with older GMS and older coaches yeah they they just seemed like they was super irritated you know wave the hand you know no etiquette at all yeah and I didn’t take none of it personal I just want them to have the opportunity to see what I could do and just like you I didn’t know what to expect either but then he told um they told me I had to work out it was going to be over here I got to actually pick the gym so I picked the place where I was familiar with and it was just a open gym they came they came and they came and you two I had D just back to back yeah I just came in and it was just a bunch of stuff hey do this do this do this and they were just calling it out randomly and I was just doing it in on the court by myself yeah did a whole joint by myself man I had kiwan G shot shout to kiwan man came up there and gave me some passes and uh I knew he was a good guard who can get it you know when you you go into shooting and trying to show people that you got you know a shot you want that the deliver to be crisp want that sh you know with that pass and all that you nervous I was nervous Lord but I I’m going tell you what happened y’all I was working out in front of everybody and you know I could like the GMS and all that VI was right here but right above their head was my guys my guys went up and sat up a little higher than top yeah it was on like five of them they was right here and uh I was nervous but I was on some I I was nervous I’mma tell you what broke my nervousness cuz uh it was a guy who was trying to give me instruction tell me what was going this this is your audition right here this my audition right here I never did this in my life never right yeah I was going in there I was nervous and then uh you men they want to go strip club every night was was like who you who you gravitated toward though like you know what I’m saying you fresh out of high school you don’t really They Don’t Really relate with you because you a high school kid and they looking like who is this high school kid like how you know what what I know it’s kind of like a little side eye action had to be cuz nobody has seen nobody do that and it’s like so who who is the one vet that kind of like you gravitated toward her that you was like all right I can just kind of holler him if about you know how all this is I had two guys that I gravitated to or that I kind of um understood right away uh Jr Ryder because Jr Ryder who was from the same name Bop you know what I’m saying yeah uh and then you know y Jr different Jr to change cuz now I’m in the community I’m going neighbor to talk to [ __ ] I was playing last year in the tournament you know what I’m saying they they seniors now you know what I’m saying they won Juniors so then I was able to hey uh sdays we’re going to hoop down here and then all the guys in Minnesota come down here and hoop so I started doing [ __ ] like that and I start making you know Minnesota My Home In Summer and yeah you start doing tournaments you start doing [ __ ] for the guys in the street start doing stuff for the community stuff it changes how they see you not just as the best player on the team but dog he came to my park today or do he threw us to such and such today or he did the let’s get it on over here or he was on the North side you know he was with Allan Anderson on the South Side he was you know what I’m saying when people start seeing you go to the club be you know what I’m saying I would run into a bunch of guys that was either in college you know so I just like I don’t like using the word I can’t do this I can’t do that so I just try to encourage him like we don’t use that you can do whatever you put your mind to you know when people’s like you ain’t you can’t make it to the Mickey D’s all right you know what I’m going let you go ahead and I just use it always I used it for motivation when people told me can’t and I never used it good
