so could the Atlanta Hawks be trading away de jonte Murray to the San Antonio Spurs This 2024 NBA off season well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to check out the entire thing for yourself but this trade would see the Atlanta Hawks trading away to jonay Murray to the San Antonio Spurs for Trey Jones the number eight pick in the 2024 NBA draft and a 2025 first round pick uh that is actually Atlanta’s own draft pick that they traded of course for Deonte Murray a couple years ago now now if I had to pick a winner of this trade I would probably still have to say uh the Spurs because they are getting back the best player in this deal uh that of course being Deonte Murray a former spur uh you know that Spurs fans know pretty well and if you’re able to sort of have a team Ming moving forward of vonte Murray as well as Victor W Bama they could be a playoff team sooner as opposed to later but also to in more of the long term attract more Superstar players than they already would at this current moment in time so I think at some point the Spurs have to get better and utilize their draft capital and their cap space uh to make a big Trader to for dejonte Murray and this would be a perfect time to do so in my personal opinion uh whereas I guess if you are uh the Hawks this would be a pretty good way of them acquiring some pretty highend draft picks uh the number eight pick this year which could be a fun pick for them if they can hit on that but also too you know more importantly getting back your own draft pick next year especially too if you are the Hawks and you want to go into more of like a rebuild a long-term term you know thinking mode this could be the best thing for them moving forward also too getting back Trey Jones a pretty good player as well it could actually be a pretty good trade if the Hawks hit on these draft picks at the end of the day so if I had to pick a winner of this deal I would have to say the Spurs uh because they are getting back a player like de jonay Murray to pair alongside of Victor wi Bama and if you are the Spurs or a Spurs fan they could be pretty fun to watch next year in their quest to making the playoffs and hopefully winning a championship at some point in the next like 3 four five years I would imagine but as always leave your thoughts down below well
