Dlo advanced stats from last 2 playoffs have him as a 7th man (backup), this team definitively need a starting quality PG and Dlo isn’t that player for a playoff team.

Trae is orders of magnitude better than Dlo. Sure Dlo and Trae are both shooters, but the theoretical passing of Dlo is eclipsed by Trae. Trae is even a better defender somehow and just simply a better competitor. Dlo was able to get his team to the playoffs once in Broolyn. Trae is there almost every year and even got the ECF just a couple years ago.Ā
It’s fair to say that Dlo at 19m could be a better value than Trae at 43m in the CBA. But breaking them down to just points and 3pt% seems like that kind of shitty takes national coverage will give you.Ā

Agree with Udonis Haslem. DLo over Trae Young. Trae costs too much and yāall are over exaggerating DLoās flaws. He averaged 14.8 points against Denver this year. The reason why he is being blamed is because we lost, and thatās because we didnt have a coach who could adjust in order to retain our leads. Two games came down to Jamal Murray buzzer beaters. A few better decisions in each game and it would have been a more even series.
This is not to say we could have beaten Denver, but DLo was not the reason why we lost. In addition, DLo was absolutely clutch in the Play-In game against a hungry Pelicans team, and that was a must win scenario.
When DLo does well like against the Pelicans, Memphis, and the Warrior, his performances are discounted because we as a team couldnt beat Denver.
