MORE CRAZY Pre Draft Spurs Rumors! San Antonio Spurs News

it’s a new day Spurs fans and more rumors before the NBA draft which thankfully is just right around the corner giant what is up San Antonio Spurs fans welcome to TSR Sports hope you’re having a great weekend came across this article on pounding The Rock and I’m seeing a Alamo and this that and the other report on the Spurs possibly trading pick number eight and also some rumors that maybe we go after tobi’s hair so let’s just address them both in this video as the draft nears rumors are starting to crop up this year the Spurs are expected to be a major player as they have two lottery picks along with some potential cap space to play with in free agency so it’s not surprising to see them mentioned in recent reports mentioned every day it seems like first it appears the Spurs have made the eighth pick available in trades according to Y Sports Jake fiser okay second the Spurs are one of five franchises expected to be in the running to sign free agent Ford Tobias Harris from the 76ers according to bleach reports Chris HS so let’s start off the eighth pick first Spurs fans trading the eighth pick for a future first would be a spart move would it fiser doesn’t elaborate on what the Spurs are looking for in a trade invol in the E pick so all we know is that they’ve reportedly made it available if there’s no one in the range of the eighth pick they’re enamored with with that let’s start that sense over if there’s no one in the range of the eighth pick they are enamored with would be to trade this year’s pick for a future one is that sentence not structured right maybe it’s cuz I cut it off anyway let’s don’t worry that moving right along doing so it allow to continue to add cheap Talent as Victor wama develops and the roster gets more expensive it would also create more cap room this offseason as the cap hold for the eighth pick worth around 6 million would disappear from the books and that’s something we have to remember first F all these lottery picks that we have this year and the coming years they’re not going to be cheap and they’re going to get more expensive when their contract renews the Spurs also have two second rounders which which to add youth on more team-friendly contracts if they feel like taking a swing on a project all right so if anything happens it’ll probably going on a draft day all right my thoughts on the eighth pick trading for future first if it’s in next year’s draft next year’s draft’s a better draft but what what number are we getting right now we know this the eighth pick if we’re trading for a future first rounder could it be an eighth pick could it be a higher pick could it be the 22nd pick that’s the worst thing you want to have happen is trade a pick and then get a pick that drops substantially in value if you will I have seen some websites suggesting which is why darus carin’s on the thumbnail Kellen Johnson pick number eight and a future first which we have many of for darus is that worth it I I don’t know I I’m you guys know I’m old school and for those that don’t I’m old school I’m a Bild to the draft type of guy I would still rather take a swing two swings because you know if you’re swinging once at a ball you got a chance you know you got a good chance to hit it but if you get two swings you have a better chance of getting a hit and I’d rather still use picks 4-8 to draft the best player available that fits a team need of course at 4 and8 we’ve seen some Le reports that I’ve reported on our Channel about Rashi may be dropping to Fourth hey it could happen you never know which means we can get a point guard at eight Castle going to be available there probably not but maybe Carter maybe who knows Dillingham probably be available there now with him his stock dropping a little bit I don’t know I still want picks 4 and8 that’s just me maybe I’m just stubborn Tobias Harris would be a good stop Gap solution if he actually wants to be in San Antonio well those last uh six words are very important the Spurs are one of five teams expected to show interest in Harris once free agency begins that’s after the draft according to Haynes the others are Utah Detroit Dallas and New Orleans Haynes mentions that a sign and trade would be necessary to get Harris to the Mavericks or Pelicans Harin doesn’t excuse me hannes doesn’t mention how much money Harris wants but that’s a factor too correct me if I’m wrong but we’re going to have somewhere close to 20 million in C and that’s with the expectation that we don’t bring Devonte Graham back and then I think there’s one other player champen is on that list but he’s coming back is maybe Bassie I know there’s another non- guaranteed contract no escaping me dang it he would offer the Spurs shooting positional versatility and size in the front court next to Jeremy Sohan and Victor wama as they develop he’s clearly not a long-term piece as he turns 32 years old soon and this next paragraph is the one that scares me the most and I haven’t followed Harris’s career much just when the Spurs play him let me know if this is accurate because this worries me the concern with any proven player like Harris is less about his talent and more about whether he joined the Spurs for the right reasons Harris was heavily criticized in Philadelphia for being passive so if he’s just looking for one last big payday and to avoid the pressure that comes with playing for a contending team San Antonio could be getting a complacent veteran who’s just alongside for the ride along for the ride instead of a committed hardworking culture Setter did he check out at times in filling did it look like he was there was no effort cuz that’s what I the opposite of we want with San Antonio and our young guys with wemy so if that’s true Harris know and and quite frankly I know we need some vets on the team I’m not oblivious to that but I don’t think putting somebody in who is passing their Prime would be the best place for us right best spot to BU where was I going that since I just think that type of player like he’s not he’s not uh an A-list player if you will an elite player that’s 32y old somebody like it like if LeBron was 32 or Steph Curry was 32 or Kevin Durant or Giannis actually I think Honis is 32 yet but you you see what I’m saying players that still have four five six years great years ahead of them still and Harris I don’t how many good years he has left and he’s bounced I didn’t notice he’s played for quite a few different teams in the NBA I think like five that’s always a red flag for me too when I see players that play for a lot of different teams if you’re so good why is everybody willing to let you go this spurge would be a six team I believe so I’m a no on Harris I’d rather use the money for put it aside for signing some of our many rookies keep that eighth pick but who like they said in the article we’re not going to know anything until draft day and that’s the toughest part of this is nothing’s we know nothing’s going to happen until draft day and the Spurs being the Spurs nothing probably will happen they’re going to draft somebody at four draft somebody at8 and hopefully we all as a Spurs Community are happy with the two picks let me close with two things here because I like to keep you guys updated I did not do the Spartan today I talked to Miss TSR last night we made the decision since I tore something in my shoulder tricep bicep wherever it is just Wednesday probably not a good idea to put it to the test today so we’re going to delay that that race to a different race if I’m going to do my first Spartan I want to be able to as many obstacles as possible and looking at the obstacle list I would have to have skipped a bunch I don’t want that to be my first experience I would feel like I would get the medal but it be like I would feel like it’s a participation medal like I didn’t do this I didn’t earn this that’s not how I want to get it and last but not least I’ve turned off the filters I’ve been trying with OBS on my respective computers they’ve been causing some odd audio issues you guys have been picking up on and I appreciate the feedback I am if you those don’t know I’m in the wor worst room ever for recording I’ve got four wooden walls of course and hardwood floor so this is an echo chamber I have my microphone now in a little sound insulation box so hopefully dampen some of that Echoes but the filters were causing some weird static and doing some weird things so I’m hoping things sound at least a little better now this is on computer a though the better computer computer B I used during the week during the weekdays to not tax the main computer which I also use for live streaming so I’ll shut check those some of those hopefully things sound at least more normal and not annoying anyway so my apologies I know I’ve been tinkering a lot the few weeks last few weeks hopefully we got it in a in sort of a good spot so that’s all I got drop a comment down below your thoughts on what we went over today hit the thumbs up like support the channel and subscribe to become part of our Austin Spurs Community hope you having a great weekend thank you and as always ghost SPS [Music] go game to

  1. Okay I just smoked some crack and thinking about this and would only consider this…If they do this I would want the 76ers non protected 2028 first round draft pick.

  2. Idk if Tobias fits our timeline at all, we need a vocal vet leader not a quiet one who isn’t great either way, we don’t need bad habits teaching to the young bucks

  3. If the Cavs will give up Garland for #8, Keldon, and say the Chicago first I'm doing that in a second, that is absolute highway robbery in the Spurs favor and I doubt they could do any better trading that pick even if Clingan falls to #8.

  4. I don't get how people are ok with either trae or garland, yet not ok with just drafting Rob Dillingham, who is being compt to garland. I'd rather just keep both picks even if you don't draft Dillingham at 8, i don't see how trading the pick would be good since we aren't in a win now mode, maybe next year but as of now it just doesn't seem like the right call

  5. Risacher and Topic would be the best Draft with picks 4 and 8.
We can easily use Tre Jones for the begining of the season, or for the entire season if needed. Better have a good PG next year than a SG who wants to play PG like Castle.
Chet Holmgren has been injured for his full first season and he doesn't have problems anymore and is one of the 3 best player of his team. I know ACL isn't a broken bone but if Topic is taken good care, he's the one Spurs wanted to draft in the begining for his qualities (floor and ceiling).
And, if Spurs have a plan to get an experienced PG, we should get a SF and a big who can replace Zach Collins. We can see the fall of the team when Wemby is out of the floor…
    Risacher and Zach Edey,
    Donovan Clingan and Tidjane Salaun
    Donovan Clingan and Matas Buzelis

  6. Draft a Point Guard And Wing and Sign Kai Sotto!!!!

    DONE!!!!!!

    OR.. . .

    Tank Again!!!!!

    For Cooper Flag!!!!!

The Spurs Next Championship is Not Next Season!!!

    It will be at 2026!!!!

  7. Harris is good under a coach that knows when n ware to position him in the floor … He still has gas in the tank n would be a good Vet to these youngsters

  8. Harris' issue is contract over production. He's been getting big contracts, but his production doesn't when come close to matching good production.

  9. NO NO NO Tobias Harris is not a good player, one of those who chokes in bright light (playoff). Definitely don't want him.
    just…No!
