Bulls TRADING Up In 2024 NBA Draft For Devin Carter? Chicago Bulls Rumors

[Music] what’s going on bulls fans welcome into the Bulls report my name is Patrick seatman coming up on today’s show we’re going to be diving into the latest mock draft that bleach report came out with where they had the Bulls trading up in the 2024 NBA draft to select Providence guard Devin Carter so be giving you guys my thoughts on that on today’s show but before we dive into it I just want to get you guys is involved here um in the comment section earlier I want you guys to let me know who is your top draft Target for the Bulls we’ve done many videos breaking down different prospects but you guys I want to let you guys let me know who’s your top draft Target for the Chicago Bulls all right let’s dive into the mack draft so it did have the blls trading up from pick 11 to pick nine now the San Antonio Spurs they traded back from pick eight to pick nine so it’s actually a double trade back for San Antonio and then the Bulls looks like they wanted to capitalize and draft Devin Carter at pick number nine but yes they did give up uh pick 11 and then a future first round pick that is Lottery protected that they got from the Portland Trailblazers so round one pick number nine the bull select Providence guard Devin Carter who I am an absolute fan of his game I love the energy I love the tenacity he plays with he plays 110% every single time he steps on that hardwood and even Kevin oconor I thought he wrote up a great article just describing how he would possibly fit with the Chicago bowls he says League sources say that Devin Carter has received a promise somewhere in the lottery could that team be the Bulls Carter would be a great fit next to Kobe white as a Lockdown Defender who can Thrive with or without the ball on offense plus Demar de rozan could leave in free agency where he would fit with the Clippers if Paul George were to sign elsewhere so that be an immediate minute void that Carter could fill now originally on the program I said I wouldn’t really look at Devin Carter as a draft Target for Chicago but after the Caruso trade I’m absolutely all in on Devin Carter I love the way he plays basketball you know just typically I think we’ve seen Big East programs have just produced winning players to the NBA over the last 5 to 10 years and I think Devin Carter fits that bill he will always make the winning play and he always plays 110% and he just plays like this like Josh Hart type of feel to his game where it is just contagious out there on the basketball court he is always showing his emotions and you know he has truly turned into one of my favorite draft prospects that I’ve you know looked at here in a while and this past year at Providence his production was huge um for the Friars this past season they did lose their best player heading into the year um Bryce hos or Hopkins uh was originally supposed to be the best player for the Friars but then Devin Carter had to step up have a bigger role his usage went through the roof his shots per game went through the roof and he had a fantastic year in 35 minutes a game almost averaging 20 a night 8.7 rebounds for a guard is ridiculous in college basketball has some playmaking ability at three and a half assists per game and then the efficiency it’s up there 47.3 from the field and 37.3 from downtown and he’s also a freak athlete like he comes in at 6’2 he’s got a really solid base to him at 193 lbs which I think helps him obviously when he’s guarding on the perimeter when the guards are trying to turn the corner on him his chest will just get in their way and just he’ll be able to have a you know a lower center of gravity because of that but he is on the older side he is 22.2 years of age as it stands right now so he is an older Prospect he wouldn’t really be a developmental pick this would be a guy you would want to step in and contribute Big Time minutes right away but he’s got a sneaky long wingspan 6’8 on the 6’2 height um you know it’s just what you want to see from a prospect now you know moreon scouting uh Devin Carter here you know I’m going to call him the Energizer Bunny because like I said at top of today’s show it is contagious the way he’s plays basketball like you feel him on the basketball court diving for loose balls all those cliches you hear about the hustle plays he does that and something I love about him top of the break threes watch his highlights uh for the Friars this past season he hits those probably it felt like two a game he’s hitting the top of the break three which as we know in the NBA nowadays are key you know a lot of these offenses they’re hunting out those types of jump shots and he knocks him down and he’s also got range on his three-pointer which no the three-pointer goes back at the next level and he made 18 threes this past season on 25 plus feet I said it I love his strength I love his chest he’s got really low center of gravity um I think just helps those guys you know especially defending at the next level with how athletic these guards are like them just trying to turn that corner if you just have that extra 5 10 pounds on you you know you could just withstand some of those hits then also spot up possessions he ranked in the 84th percentile in all of college hoops last season averaging 1.06 points per possession on spot UPS which is great and especially with what his role would be in the NBA most of it’s going to come up in spot up opportunities so you know he excels at that but you guys let me know who is your pro comp for Devin Carter you know just gave you a bunch of information about him hopefully you have a good feel you know for his game so you guys give me a pro comp down in the comments section now this may be a little zealous this may be you know think in his ceiling more than his Pro Comp but I’m going to go Derek white you know in terms of a player that’s always going to make the right play he’s you know he’s super physical you know not like a vertical athlete but he’s a horizontal athlete he moves really really well side to side he can knock down the three-point ball and you know personally for the bows and honestly just him in the league I would rather see him play off ball like I wouldn’t want him going to a situation where he is going to be the primary ball handler the primary initiator on offense and I think with with the bulls you know slide him next to Kobe white I think it would be a great fit and plus you would have two elite point of attack guys in IO in uh Devin Carter you know it help replace the loss of Caruso he was one of the best in the entire NBA so Devin white if he or Devin Carter not Devon white if Devin Carter is the pick at pick 11 or you know maybe at the bull straight up to pick nine like Bleacher Report had them doing I would be absolutely throwed but the round out Today’s show I want to go over my top five draft targets for the Chicago B is not Nam Devin Carter obviously he would be on this list just to you know tell you guys where I’m at you know heading into the draft this Wednesday so number one for me would be jayen Williams is a little brother Cody Williams out of Colorado and I’ve been on this guy since March Madness you know I forget what game it was during the tournament it might have been Perdue but just watching him play man he just plays you know 110% effort every single time and I’ve really started to become a big fan of him but you know my scouting report on him he is 19 years old comes in at 6’8 190 lbs and my Pro Comp for him is Jen McDaniels again you know it’s more of a ceiling Pro Comp of what I hope he could turn out to be but you know super lanky you know super skinny as well he’s only 190 lbs but he is the ability to be an elite elite Defender like and he gets after it defensively like he imposes his will on these offensive players and that’s why I got it listed as one of his strengths defense but also transition finishing for him know I I say this all the time I go turn on the tape and watch some of his you know highlights from Colorado this past season but seriously go do it most of his buckets are coming in transition just him beating guys down the court and you know just getting easy ones but a weakness for him shot creation and that’s why I think he’s got a limited offensive ceiling but you know maybe that’s something that I just don’t see and that’s been a part of his game and you know he just wasn’t really asked to do so with the Buffalo this past year but number two for me I’m going to go Ron Holland and I know this is a very polarizing Prospect some people are like oh get him away from my basketball team and some people are like oh this guy’s got to be a top five pick but you know my scouting report on him stands as this where you know I’m going to give his Pro Comp to cam Whitmore I and I don’t love that Pro Comp but as you know in terms of a guy who is a you know a hyper athlete who kind of plays this a style of basketball that was the best I could come up with but his role in The W uh NBA would just be a slashing Wing you know to put pressure on the rim you know to consistently try to get the defense in rotation you know I think that could be you know what he excels at but again my concern for him would just be his offensive ceiling and you know he was terrible shooting the ball this past season for the g-league ignite shot around 26% from downtown and I don’t have the stat off the top of my head but it was something about like him having a you know bad misses where like he air balled a good amount of his three-pointers this past season he’s got a little hitch in his jump shot that I don’t like but he is a freak athlete he’s got good size to him and I think he would be the pick where it’s like the biggest boom boor bus selection for the Chicago Bulls but he would be a guy you’re going to have to be patient with him you know he is only 18.8 years of age so you know I would like Ron Howen but you know obviously you know BS would have to you know develop him well for him to work out in the league now coming up for uh coming up number three on my list is Matas buellis and you would have to trade up for him you know no doubt about it but we did get reports that the bows were at his private workout when he was uh working out at the Lakers facility so you know maybe the Chicago Bulls could take a chance on the hometown kid but my pro cop for him I had France Vagner and again this is a little this is a ceiling pro cop but when I watch their game they’re very similar just their movements you know are very alike and you know his biggest probe for me is his athleticism you know I was watching a couple of his uh games from this past g-league season and you know he he put a dude on a poster felt like almost every single night uh but a con for him he’s got a slim frame super skinny guy but he’s kind of got this Christmas tree build where his shoulders come out and he’s got a really nor uh narrow uh torso so I think he’s going to be able to put on weight very easily and the thing I love the most he plays at his own pace the G League it is an a style of basketball it’s up and down the floor but when he got the ball he was very calm he was in control and I think that just you know speaks to the confidence he has in his own basketball game I put a Khan as a three-point shooting but I think this could get fixed very easily he shot under 30% this past season but he’s got a super smooth jump shot he gets the same release every time so I think it would be able to work out out in the NBA but number four for me Dalton connect the uh veteran Guard veteran guard as a rookie I’m saying but you know he is an older Prospect um from Tennessee as he lit up college basketball this past season for the Vols and he’s coming at 6’6 204 lb sneaky sneaky long wingspan on connect at 6’9 and put the Pro Comp right now is Gordon Hayward I know comparing a white guy to a white guy I get it but you know he does remind me of a lot about uh Hayward just in terms of a you know a three-level scorer who is also a very good athlete which connect is so that’s what I had there in strengths shooting weaknesses defense he’s going to have to get better at that if he’s going to want to excel at the next level but number five for me is Jared McCain and this is the guy who’s slowly moving up my you know Big Board here as you know I think the Bulls like and the and we get into this here in a second but the Bulls are in a need for a true true shooter and that’s what Jared McCain is and you know some of his Pros I have on him I love his release it’s super quick and he’s got a very repeatable shot form he’s got a super good base where just one quick motion and it’s going up um I don’t want to compare it to Klay Thompson shot you know too much but it does kind of give me some clay Vibes but he moves very well laterally and he can defend but the biggest cons for him is what position is he going to play in the NBA but I think with where the Bulls are at right now and how they’re back court shaking out now with Josh giddy Al dumo Kobe white if you would have Jared McCain and that mixed you know you would have a guard that does a little little bit of everything you would have you know Jared McCain being the shooter you would have you know Kobe white just being the overall offensive engine IO being the defensive minded guard and then Josh giddy being that playmaking guard where you would knock you know all major parts of the game out in your backourt but you know not a big vertical athlete um and he’s not the best finisher around big so he would be a true true shooter that can defend you know just a little bit on the outside know he kind of gives me some Derek white Vibes as well but you guys let me know I asked you on the top of today’s show we’re going to round out Today’s Show with this who is your top draft Target for the Chicago Bulls let me know your thoughts down in the comments section and just want to say thank you guys so much for the support on the channel as of lately it has been awesome following the uh Jos giddy trade so seriously thank you guys so much hit that subscribe button if you haven’t already see you guys next time go BS [Music]

  1. No no no absolutely no one under 6'5" …there's no way at 6'2" he's a lock down defender, unless he's defending the guy who sells popcorn … that's crazy another idea like this I might have to stop following…6'2" really no!!!!!

  2. If Bulls are going with the youth movement I think Dalton Knecht is the best fit in the draft for Chicago. Got length and size for a modern day SF. Bulls clearly value Giddey so to see him at his best you need to surround him with multiple shooters around him. Giddey, Coby, Knecht, PWill (potentially), is a lineup offensively that has a lot of potential.

  3. Da Silva with wild swings in this unusual draft, for example Clingan can go one through eight I've seen in many mock drafts11 isn't a stretch, 6'9" a Forward – position of need, can come off the bench if we lose one or both DeRozan and Williams,.

  4. I don’t mind this kid at all but we have Ayo Dosumo who makes this pick a bit of a head scratcher. But ideally I think Giddy guarding some 3s in a zone, Ayo and Devin Carter lineup could be great defensively.

  5. This dumb as hell. We need size. We get giddy, now you want a small azz point guard. We need size stupid. This host young and dumb as hell thats why we suck…. bullshyt media coverage. The organization runs local media or they can't use bulls content. This is insane. Wr need a force. If he's Allen Iverson…yes. but he is not. Do we want two unproved point guards. Like Derrick Rose a nd kirk. No championships….too small to guard wade and LeBron. We too weak with coby white to guard brown and Tatum.

  6. Nothing against Devin Carter but this move makes NO SENSE for the Bulls after they traded for Josh Giddy whom plays the same position as Devin Carter . For other lottery teams that need a point guard like the Wizards for example , it does make sense for them to draft a point guard but not the Bulls . ATURAS PLEASE DRAFT A BIG!!! If they don't go big then I'm fine with Dalton Knect .

  7. I’d consider Devin Carter if he was like 6’5. He would probably be able to play SF or even small ball PF at that size, but he literally can only play guard at that height.

  8. Why tf aren’t they going to draft eddy or T. Shannon jr. players ready to come in but can contribute rt away.

  9. Holland just reminds me of a bigger Terry. I believe Terry has great potential but we already have that guy and also we haven’t even been able to develop Terry. How would we develop Holland?

  10. No to Devin Carter I would take stephon castle but the giddey trade almost kills that but no let's get Dalton knect Kel el Ware or Zach pray it works out edey… Terrance Shannon Jr would fit would giddey too

  11. Selecting a guard….so they have a team full of guards. Why do I think the Bulls are going to screw up this draft
