Players the Bucks SHOULD draft

so with the draft coming up in a few days I’m giving you a list of guys I think the bug should look to draft and a couple guys I think they should stay away with and for this video I’ll focus on bigs because with uh doc Rivers’s comments it seems fairly likely that Brooke or Bobby are going to get moved this off season and even if they don’t with just those two as your bigs you kind of have holes defensively things that they’re not able to do that they should address in a draft especially seeing as the Bucks have pretty much only drafted wings and they have a bunch of young Talent on the wing between Chris Livingston marjon Bo champ AJ Green Andre Jackson there might be one guy I’m leaving out the Bucks have pretty much only gone for wings and with the Bucks having the 23rd and the 33rd pick it’s pretty much a necessity that they draft a big with at least one of these picks I’m not a guy that says draft for need but you need to get a big especially seeing as there are some decent options in this draft at the big man position and the first guy I’d be looking at for the bucks is the guy behind me right now is Eve Missy uh big man for Baylor he averaged about 11 and six very raw offensively but he FS what they need defensively which is a big man that can also protect the rim at Elite level similar to Brooke but is not so slow-footed that he can’t ever hedge on screens can ever step away from the paint can he double the perimeter or anything like that switch for a second he’s a guy that can do that on like Bobby and Brooke um he was all defensive team in college he’s an elite rim protector kind of like a Mitchell Robinson but a his athleticism allows him to guard the perimeter at least for a little bit and being an upgraded at that in that situation for from a Brooke or a Bobby and his weakness is how raw he is offensively like I said he gave you less than 11 points per game in college and he wasn’t like a massive rebounder in terms of less than six per game but when you look at the rebounding they’ve been dealing with that with Brooke Giannis could kind of cover that stuff up and offensively when you have Dame Chris and Giannis on the floor you don’t need a guy that could do a lot it almost is too much to deal with when you have too many scoring options and a guy that really offensively is just going to be a lob threat is kind of a perfect option for them to go with and kind of a mix up from Bobby who gives you a lot a lot offensively if he’s still there and another good thing with Missy is unlike Mitchell Robinson he actually can knock down free throws enough to keep him on the floor he shot 61% in college which if he continues that in the NBA I think that’s fine for a guy as raw as him um there’s a lot of guys like a Clint capella like U Mitchell Robinson who he’s similar to who have always shot free throws much worse than that so 61% if you could prove on that great 61% is good enough though so that’d be the first guy I’d look at for the bucks the second guy is Kil wear and this guy I think is a a little bit more up in the air cleer wear um with Missy you kind of know that this guy at least has the 7 foot one length he’s got elite shot blocking and um CLE wear does have that type of length but there’s a little bit of like Jackson Hayes to him where Jackson Hayes when you watch him at times in college and when you watched him in the summer league before he enter the NBA he seemed like a camp Miss Rim running shot blocking center with the way he gets up um the way he has bounce and um how aggressive he can be at times and cleare is kind of similar but he also can be a little bit timid my comparison for him is Derek Lively to where there might be a little bit of softness to him where I don’t know if he’s going to be you know making himself a presence on the inside for lobs the way that Missy can be um aggressively um on the inside same thing defensively I could see guys kind of just going through him so I do have worries about him but this is a guy that shoots about 40% from three uh this is a guy that has the similar athleticism 7′ one and he did improve a lot this last year in college he was giving you about 16 a game so this guy projects to be a guy that can get you points knock down the open three rim run and also be um switchable defensively even more than Missy um versatile and can protect the rim has a 7 foot5 wingspan so I like I would like this pick if the Bucs went for it but he has bus potential in a way that I don’t really see Missy being a bust I think he we know what he can do and now the next one I’m going with is uh donon Bland this is a guy that unlike the first two I’m messing these guys names up Don Holmes uh unlike the first two those are guys that are pretty uh High ceilings and could really give you a lot defensively Holm seems to be a little bit more of a low ceiling guy but a guy that could clearly fit in on a good winning team right away so he could come in for the bucks and I think he could fit in on the floor he’s a good passer good decision maker good finisher at The Rim switchable enough defensively although probably not Elite defensively can protect the rim defensively might not do it at an elite level but won’t get exposed anywhere my um upside for him is like a wendle Carter a guy that could be really good 15 and 10 a game switchable holds his own on the inside probably never going to be amazing but like a solid big and then I could see him potentially being more like a jichael green or like a Paul Reed guys that you know you could throw out there for 15 minutes and it’s fine but probably aren’t going to be a big additions or aren’t going to like really have great impactful minutes just guys that could kind of fill space on the floor so that’s what I see for Don Holmes but I do like that he’s a guy that could you could pretty much relied that he’ll be able to go in and play and not be disaster so I wouldn’t be mad if they picked him and now Phil palski is the first guy I would stay away with to stay away from as a Duke fan every once in a while there’s guys that you know come from duke or high projected guys that I never really was a fan of um cam reddish I never believed in and filipowski I’m a little bit low on for one he never really shot the ball that well in college shot about 32% from three um he never shot that well from the free throw line either which is often times what projects to show how they’re going to shoot in the NBA is how they shot free throws he shot about 67% from the line and the lack of athleticism there makes it so he’s going to be maybe similar to Bobby poris defensively and a little bit lackluster I don’t think he really feels a need for the bucks and he doesn’t shoot the ball well enough to justify drafting him when he doesn’t give um the defensive um upgrade for them and lastly for guys to avoid Tyler Smith um they’re list him at 611 I’ve seen some other people put him at 6′ n he doesn’t really give you much defensively he’s known as more of a shooter um and the Bucks don’t really need guys that are just their strength is shooting they have plenty of shooting between Middleton AJ Green Damen Lillard they’re fine in terms of shooting especially guys that that’s most of what they give you he is a great shooter Tyler Smith but um I think they need to guy get guys um in terms of bigs that can fill the defensively where Bobby and Brook um are not versatile switchable they need to get more athletic um Tyler Smith isn’t necessarily giving that as much on the defensive end as the first couple guys I mentioned especially last year I’ll give a little mention to Zack Edy I think that would be a fine pick for the bucks gave you 25 and 12 for Purdue obviously the best uh player in college basketball uh the only like downside for him is that he doesn’t really feel the things that Brock Brooke and Bobby lack defensively he’s not really switchable he probably wouldn’t be able to step away from the paint but the good sign is the good thing from him is I could see him stepping in and being just the next Brook Lopez a guy that could be an elite rim protector and also skilled enough to probably be able to knock down an open three at the NBA level especially um in some years the way it took Brook some years to be able to do that so I think Ed would I would not be mad at all if the Bucs picked him but I don’t think they’re going to be able to draft him at 23 so that’s why I’m not really getting too deep into him but Ed would be fine for the bucks too but let me know what y’all think about these prospects drop a comment hit that like and then subscribe please yes sir
