look there’s better centers out there that’ll fit Mike buen hoser system I think he’ll find a spot in this league and that’s I mean I think that’s the best either side can do right now you’ll find an okay Center here he’ll find an okay spot for him everybody says you know what it was one year that we’d both like to forget mcco MCO we got some news from wge that Suns Center Drew Eubanks is declining his $2.6 million player option and entering free agency sources tell ESPN what was your initial response when you clicked on the W bomb uh it makes sense like it makes a lot of sense for both sides honestly if they were to move on uh this does not necessarily rule out a return for Drew euu Banks much to the shagrin of some people in the chat I’m sure um Dwayne Ranken did report that uh sources are telling him this does not definitively rule out Eubanks coming back as Bobby marks explained when he was on the show with us a few weeks back because he was signed to a two-year deal there’s a greater cap hit towards the second apron if Eubanks were to opt in so if he opts out um the Suns could basically just tell him opt out if you can find another deal elsewhere great if not come back we’ll sign another vet minimum deal and it’ll be a lower cap hit for us so that could be in play here but I do think the Suns need to try to upgrade their Center rotation um moving forward yeah this was more of a uh W firecracker than a w bomb to me fair I think we all kind of expected it yeah yeah I I feel like the what Dwayne said was if we can’t find anybody better and you can’t find anybody maybe we can get back together it’s like it’s like the old if we’re not married by 40 why don’t we get married to each other that’s the way I kind of look at it I think this is probably the kind of parting that’s the right kind of parting both of them could probably use somebody different I agree entirely like this it just didn’t feel like this was the right spot for Drew from a fan perspective seemingly from the outside looking in from a chemistry perspective on court perspective like I want him to go somewhere else that works better for him and then as a Suns fan I want somebody to come in here who works better for us so I think this was one of those breakups that was mutually beneficial to both sides yeah I hope he’s able to find a deal elsewhere because it did like I’m not going to pretend like he was good for the Suns this season he finished well around the rim but a lot of his looks were pretty much served up to him by the Suns Playmakers um he look they had a negative 4.1 net rating with him on the court and a plus 6.0 net rating when he was on the court that’s a swing of 10 points per 100 possessions when he’s on or off the court and in the playoffs there’s a negative 21.3 net rating whenever eub Banks was on the court which was only for 37 minutes because it was that bad so like I get why Suns fans were down on him I was pretty disappointed I thought coming in based on what he showed in Portland he would be this fan favorite hustle guy that would dunk on people that would block a ton of shots I just never materialized here he didn’t catch a body that I remember he CAU some bodies CAU a couple bodies but I just it was not enough for not as much as we were expecting yeah yeah it was look there’s better centers out there that’ll fit Mike buen hoer system I think he’ll find a spot in this league and that’s I mean I think that’s the best either side can do right now you find an okay Center here he’ll find an okay spot for him everybody says you know what it was one year that we’d both like to forget
