INSIDE THE NBA FULL SHOW | JJ Redick hired as Los Angeles Lakers coach on four-year contract

[Music] hello and welcome to access sportset Lakers I’m Chris G joined by our Laker Insider Mike bres from the locked on Lakers podcast Andy kinety gentlemen how we doing this is awesome I feel like we are part of History right now we are laying out the pages of Laker history have you been here for a show like this yet has it ever been your day when something has has come on never this big of a deal okay no all right good he was just getting miked up talking about the the history he wants to make today and uh glad you’re hear AK all right long time correspondent all right here we go after 48 days after firing Darin ham the Lakers have found his successor W broke the news with a tweet at 12:03 p.m. which is a weird time for w it’s usually like 3:30 in the morning uh ESPN sources JJ reck has agreed on a four-year contract to become the next coach of the Lakers Rob pinka offered job this morning and reic started working on a staff to surround himself with exper erience uh W continued pinka became sold on reck’s ability to connect with players and his basketball IQ and believe surrounding him with an elite coaching staff will help to shorten the learning curve into his first coaching job sources said reic spent 15 years as a player in the NBA since retiring in 2021 he’s become a leading voice on multiple platforms his podcasts and then on ESPN as he just completed coverage on the ABC crew that called the NBA Finals now he begins the coaching chapter of his basketball life your reaction Mike bresnahan to the news yeah I’m with you finally finally you know here here we are uh six days from the draft remember starts a day earlier this year two-day event and I I do like it I mean it’s it’s definitely been a circuitous route to get there there was that bizar 4day weekend not that long ago where they went after Hurley obviously but but I have liked reic as as a very intriguing Laker coach and here’s why in fact I might even go out and say I’m going to go on a limb right now okay the most unorthodox hire for this team since 1981 when they took Pat Riley who is only a year or two removed from being an analyst like reck of course Riley unlike reic he was an assistant with the Lakers for a couple years but still you know I I like it uh you could tell what the Lakers were thinking pretty much this entire offseason after letting Darin go almost seven weeks ago they want to do something uniquely different yeah and I think they did here because they did not go after the St standard you know this guy’s been a head coach before this guy’s an upand cominging assistant they looked at the best college coach in the game arguably and and an espn/abc analyst AK yeah it is never a dull moment it seems like when it comes to the Lakers and coaches and the hiring process is always interesting but JJ reck is a I think a very fascinating hire I think he’s an intriguing hire I think he is a bold hire and that comes with positives and negatives like I can see the potential in JJ reic I can see why the organization we saw the word infatuated in a lot of these reports leading up to this what they would see in reic his Charisma his communication skills his Drive I mean he he conquered the media space very quickly he carved out a long career on you know he was a quality player but he was not a star he stayed in the league a long time because I think he had respect he knew his Lane and he capitalized on it but in a lot of ways the Lakers are projecting what they think about him as opposed to what they know about him and that is a very very big swing on their part so let’s go through that timeline really momentum started at least for JJ doing the podcast with LeBron James here are two guys that are basketball savants iq’s through the roof kind of breaking it down and then when Darin ham gets fired JJ’s name is immediately at the top of the list along with some other names uh Sam Cassell James bergo and really I think we all thought that JJ was the only candidate I mean I know they were interviewing other guys but everyone kind of had heard that he was at the top of the list then you had the three to four day curveball which BRZ had mentioned with Dan Hurley but then as soon as that was put to bed JJ was back on top so brez that timeline maybe not what everyone wanted but really it was if you look at it it was right when the NBA finals were over just like we thought 6 weeks ago the JJ would be hired yeah we don’t know the extent of the conversations with JJ and the Lakers the last couple weeks it would make sense if he said guys this is the the Apex of what I’m doing right now you know helping the call the NBA Finals can we talk after it’s over and indeed that’s what happened so you know Boston just won what two days ago three days ago excuse me and and all of a sudden here we go Lakers sources are are saying that this is happening so I get it you know JJ to his credit wanted to finish out his craft what he’s been doing for a few years now after uh leaving the NBA after a pretty good career by the way that 42% three-point shooting that he had with the Clippers and uh uh uh New Orleans primarily excuse me forgot who he uh came up to the league with that’s that’s that’s going to be special that’s going to be a uh I think that’ll be a big part of the Laker offense going forward I mean it’s been a great few weeks for JJ reck he gets to call the NBA Finals he’s hired as coach by the Lakers the the actor playing him on that show clipped is like a model I you want talk about I I mean Ramona Shel bur’s my friend so of course Momo behind it it’s actually it’s a fun show on FX but I 100% it’s hard for me to watch a Clippers show well I mean just remember it’s about the Clippers being a dysfunctional mess yeah but I’ve seen the guys who are playing those guys we we we digress go on let’s it’s been a great time for for JJ reck and again it it makes a lot of sense that the Lakers would see this potential in in him and see him as a potential coach that can grow with the organization you know be somebody that can help them win now but also be a part of creating a culture for the future as well I mean I know that they they want him to be kind of their forever coach and it’s been difficult for them as an organization to land on somebody like that but on paper RIT can fill a lot of that and if you look at reck’s timeline I believe he interviewed to be part of the Raptors staff was that last year and I think that’s what people are saying where he kind of got that bug and he has been it looked it looks like he’s been kind of angling to one day be a coach when you look at like Steve Kerr you know going into the front office being a GM being on TV and then ultimately Landing the coaching job that he wanted maybe that’s JJ’s path too maybe his timeline brez has been something different than everybody else’s I’m just happy that the Lakers hired him because had they passed over him a second time anytime he called a Laker game there would have been a lot of Strays heading the Lakers way so I’m definitely glad that he’s uh he’s on board and yeah each coach has had his own path I mean really you know Darin ham for example he had to be a longtime assistant including over a decade uh earlier with the Lakers before he was finally given a head coaching job Frank vogle complet complete opposite of Darin you know a head coach numerous times before the Lakers said all right we’re going to bring you on here uh luckily for him they acquired ad about a month later and then they won the championship uh about 10 months after that um bottom line each coach has has his own path and this is unusual like this is really unusual you don’t see a ton of uh ex players getting head coaching jobs without any experience you know Steve natch and our friend Derrick Fisher come to mind but he’s just been chilling in hasn’t been many of them Jason kid yeah uh uh Doc Rivers Doc Rivers Mark Jackson yeah hasn’t been a ton of guys six maybe yeah and at least most those most of those guys have assistant yeah they’re starting to be more delgro was one good call but not many not many not many of straight from playing but he’s skipping a couple steps JJ there’s no doubt about no 100% just saying over time it’s only been a a Selected Few that have been called upon to have a head job without ever ever stepping foot as into an arena as an assistant coach I mean JJ reck has to the best of my knowledge never coached anybody over age 12 I mean like me there really I don’t say that a shame I’m just saying it’s really unusual he will say that yeah it’s a very unusual situation how do you guys think as you see uh Lebron opening a beautiful expensive bottle of wine podast yeah that’s really what re and I are checking out so I want to remind you guys before I ask this question the Lakers is not an easy job in terms of like the expectations and the spotlight always being on the team whether they are good or bad outside noise from fan bases and from the national media always going to be directed at the Lakers good or bad that’s the beauty of it I have sat up on this chair many times and said that’s what you want as an organization it means you’ve done something it means you’re relevant it means you are the best and and that’s what the Lakers have prided themselves on so what does he need to be successful and and do you think what do you think is JJ as a head coach Bress if he just had to throw dart out there yeah yeah look I I think he’s going to be good I have a feeling he’s going to defer a lot especially in his first year or two at the team he’s going to there’s going to be a lot of player interaction with him he might even go to LeBron and say what what do you think about me me putting this in practice today I and he needs to be open to all of this and I’ve been around this team 20 years now and I’ve seen coaches uh who who get hired when the Lakers are not very good like a Luke Walton or a Byron Scott you know the end of the Kobe years and the expectations are really low you know now though you know we’re running out of time on LeBron still playing good Ball but also got ad for another few years expectations are going to be pretty high for a team that won one playoff game so for JJ’s sake I hope he gets off to a really good start well I mean actually brez sets up really well in terms of what I think JJ reick needs he needs organizational patience he needs organizational realism like he he needs to be put in a position to succeed because while the goal for this organization should always be a championship if it’s the standard then it may not be a realistic expectation that JJ reick is being held to like the fact that LeBron is 40 and that window is shutting that doesn’t make the roster different than it is or better than it is or it doesn’t make the West any easier than it is and you need to make sure that you are empowering JJ reck to grow into himself as a coach and if he feels the stakes and all right along the way stakes and all look I mean he he needs to be held to a standard but if the standard is you need to win a championship right away or else we’re going to start re-evaluating our options I can I can pretty much promise JJ reck is not going to succeed but I don’t consider that JJ reck’s fault I consider that the organization’s fault like they need to hold them to a standard but they need to make sure that standard is grounded good stuff guys still to come on access we take a look back at some of our favorite moments of the Lakers season with so many to choose from it’s going to be a tall half but it is something that I love deeply and I will work every day to get back to it it’s not goodbye basketball it’s just I see you later I’m always so thankful for your thoughts and prayers delay not denied uh head coach KT Miller is no stranger to adversity my career has been sprinkled I think with the exception of the 19 2019 season um I’ve lost a starter to injury every single year that I’ve been a head coach in this league um and uh you just have to have the mentality of the next person up and rally around it I’m a big unintended consequen person you know does an injury open the door for someone else to really start the Blossom and gain confidence in their career you look at the Connecticut my time in Connecticut and it was littered through that um um where someone went down someone else stepped up and really then blossomed into the pro they are today back to the big Lakers news JJ reck has agreed to become their next head coach on a 4-year contract first reported by ESPN he will become the seventh head coach retired since Phil Jackson retired after the 2011 season so obviously when a coach is hired especially when the team has Superstars named LeBron James and Anthony Davis the talk immediately becomes about fits and relationships all start with LeBron does this hire affect LeBron’s return BRZ yeah it could only help you know obviously they have a really good rapport if anyone has listened to their podcast and AK I know you’re a podcast Meister so you probably listen to it all the time it it’s aming the they have and they don’t need to be drinking good wine to to be bouncing ideas and ex’s right there doesn’t hurtak at some point my life I mean can we get that for our podcast no no one’s no never invites me Sakaya AK if you have that on your podcast let us know we’ll be right over um yeah so this is a really good start as far as like LeBron has a big decision between now and June 29th uh will he opt out and uh I assume he will because he can resign and give himself a nice little pay bump uh for next season but I I do think this helps obviously they have really really good connectivity on that podcast I mean we have heard a lot uh on the record even from Rich Paul that LeBron is not directly involved or steering this process and that’s fine but I guarantee the Lakers have done enough homework to know that at the very least LeBron is fine with JJ reick being the coach they’re not going to hire him if they have any any apprehension that LeBron wouldn’t sign off on it LeBron has a good idea of how JJ Reck feels about the game how he sees about the game I have to imagine at some point during the recording of these shows you know in between sessions whatever they’ve talked about the Lakers JJ reck has gotten an idea of how LeBron likes to play basketball I agree with brez this cannot possibly hurt the idea of in return I was just going to say AK and you go first you know we’ve seen their chemistry on the podcast together what does it look like on the court that’s a really interesting question because it’s one thing to be Partners but JJ reick has never been an authority figure for LeBron James and LeBron has been borderline Peerless his entire time in the NBA so that Dynamic I think will be interesting to see grow I think it’s going to it’ll be interesting to see how LeBron tries to go about maybe feeling like he doesn’t want to step on JJ reck’s toes how JJ reck wants to try to find the balance between guiding LeBron and not looking like he has to put on a show of hey I’m in charge of LeBron you know for the rest of the guys that it’s going to be interesting to see how this evolves who wins in a two on two basketball tournament besides podcast mind the game or locked on Lakers oh my God BK do you guys score B guys score do you guys get a bucket how much of that wine have they drank before they put me in bran there’s always a chance there’s always a chance and not only if they’re passed out they have to be passed out so brez uh it always comes back to wine for some reason brez Rich Paul said during this search that ad should be the focus LeBron is not a part of this this is at the end of his career he’s going to be fridg he’s going to make his decision um reck has had conversations with ad uh how’s the fit do you see with these two and how important is it here’s how reic endear himself to ad immediately make sure in the fourth quarter of the first regular season game ad does not have one shot or no shots because it happened a little too often for my comfort level uh last season even the year before a little bit too I’m not blaming I’m not blaming Darin ham at all and you know there there’s like plenty of blame to be spread ad’s got to demand the ball a little bit more we we talk about this so often in some of these post game shows his teammates need to look for him a little bit more maybe Darin needed to call some plays for him there’s plenty of blame to be sprinkled about this but I think if JJ just says to ad hey man so what happened in some of those fourth quarters you know maybe he called one one or two of those games or was watching on his his league pass or whatever but he’s got to go right to ad and say what what was going on in those games how can I help you get more than about his lack of coaching experience here are some notable coaches that have been hired in the last few decades who like JJ did not have any prior experience Steve Nash dererk fiser Steve cerr Jason Kid Mark Jackson Doc Rivers and Larry Bird just to name a few yeah I think you covered all of them last block AK say there’s a few more out there maybe notables but uh but guys we did a deep dive yeah yeah what are the pros and cons to have an NBA player become a head coach without that experience of moving up the ladder bre wow um well you can’t really Scout the guy out out of the gate you have no idea what he’s going to come up with and if he’s smart in the preseason just sit LeBron for like two thirds of those games and ad for the other third and you know really surprise people coming out of the gate BR still wants no preseason you can tell he’s still still angling so so you know they one of the best moves the NBA ever made was dropping it from eight games to six preseason a few years ago if they want to go ahead and drop it down to three or four in the next year or two I’d be all all on board for that um the cons are pretty evident pretty obvious how’s it going to look when there’s 5 seconds left Lakers down to ball out of bounds right in front of the Laker bench let’s call it you know what what’s what’s going to be on his whiteboard on the sideline how’s it going to look uh in in crunch time AK I think with reck a lot of this is going to come down to does he know what he doesn’t know does he accept what he doesn’t know and how much does he lean on the people around him and teach him like remember remember when Shawn McVey was hired by the Rams he brought in Wade Phillips as his defensive coordinator and for a lot of first-time coaches they’d be nervous about bringing in somebody like Phillips because you worry that’s the guy who could easily take my job over my shoulder if things go sideways for me McVey looked at it the other way was like I want to be in the best position possible I want to put people around me that are smart and know what they’re doing and McVey has been incredibly successful ever since one thing about those players that become great coaches I think one quality they have is that they understand the 1 through 15 or the 1 through 12 or however you want to say it because they were role players themselves I think the star player sometimes who was very gifted and always at the elite status doesn’t always know how to connect with that said player down at the bottom so I think JJ one pro would be that listen he was a hardworking guy he had to work for everything he got in the league especially at Duke as well being the leading all-time scorer there and he can relate right he’s been a role player he’s been a star player so I think that that’s important so hopefully that is a nod towards JJ as well now Shams mentioned the coaching staff and I think brez has spent a lot of time talking about this over the past six weeks and and the candidates for Ric staff like Scott Brooks is a former head coach brez he’s been mentioned uh um even um M’s assistant uh Jared Dudley who we all love has a relationship with LeBron and AD played in La Raj Rondo do you like these names that you’re hearing I do and I especially love the Brooks name why because he was a head coach for 13 years uh most of that in OKC with some pretty bigname players who let’s face it probably had you know NBA I’m a star Egos and so he’s used to dealing with guys and and being able to go up to to the star and say hey I need you to do this can you help me so so if JJ needs a defer I I think Brooks is a really good guy to do that um as far as Rondo we saw him firsthand uh coaching uh helping from the end of the bench when he was hurt for for several games when he was a player here and J Jared Dudley was basically extended another year just to be at the end of the Lakers bench and to really begin his coaching career while still on a player payroll I thought he he ended up really well here with the Lakers and he definitely has you know high high profile assistant coaching uh and eventually head coaching all over his uh all over his future AK of all the names of Co of assistant possibilities who have head coaching experience Scott Brooks is by far the one that I really really hope most well he he has a lot of experience but he’s also he’s coached in the finals before coach Stars he he he’s coached Stars you know he developed a very well developed a great relationship with Russell Westbrook and and I’m not looking to take shots but Russ is not the easiest guy in the world to coach and that was a great relationship with I I think reflects well on Brooks’s ability to just deal with personality types in general uh Jared Dudley always a great Great Communicator yeah um I think that would be interesting great for you too yep so the NBA calendar is about to get busy will be busy uh next week the draft is a two-day event it’s next Wednesday and Thursday we will have shows for you on the 26th and 27th then it starts to get nuts you got the player option date you got free agency starting right after the 4th of July you got summer league the 12th through the 22nd Summer Olympics I’m jacked on that that’s going to be a lot of fun Steve cerr and USA basketball that’s July 26th through August 11th so listen we’re going to step into the Time Capsule for a minute now the Lakers didn’t even make it out of the first round right but they had some great highlights yes they did they did they had some great moments so what are your top three moments for the Lakers this past season brez were going to start with you uh we’re going from three to one right we’re going to save number one for always got to save one always got to start low the end I’m going start with something fun one of the best dunks not only this year but I’ve ever seen uh by any NBA player Jackson Hayes going between the legs and absolutely destroying the RAM on a fast break just super impressed by what he was able to accomplish a great Celebration by the Lakers bench as well and uh just just really really into to what he did here and there it is who AK I don’t know where you were uh for this uh but that that bench celebration was uh out of control I was stunned that were you in Toronto for this I was not in Toronto I was stunned that Jackson Hayes actually said screw it man I’m going to do this because I mean like if that’s one of those if it does not go well you’re getting mocked you might have your coach upset at you like you have to make sure you’re going to stick that thing that’s a bold try right there and he absolutely succeeded my favorite dunk of the Year number three uh the Lakers getting the win in Boston without LeBron without Anthony Davis this was coming off consecutive double digit losses to the Rockets SK was sky was falling there were reports about Darin ham losing the locker room and then you end up with Austin Reeves 32 points DLo a near triple double Jackson Haye 16- 10 in ad’s place that was maybe the hardest I’ve ever seen a team play from start to finish that was my favorite win of the year and I’m including it turned the whole season around I’m including playoff games I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team play that hard for 48 minutes it was amazing yeah that’s a good one BRZ your number two hey it was so special when LeBron passed Kareem you know one passing to be the leading score in NBA history I was pretty jacked when he when he passed 40K this year I thought that was really cool and it gets you thinking like how much longer can he do this how how many more Milestones is he going to hit 45,000 I think if he plays three more years there’s a really good chance he played 71 games this year I mean can he keep doing that can he keep uh pounding out the points at 25 a game uh it’s it’s going to be pretty pretty intense to see how far he can get up the chain 45k might be a little high but this was actually a a very special night one of my favorite memories of the Season no doubt about it very cool it’s pretty staggering when you think about LeBron’s accomplishments no doubt number two uh for me it was Anthony Davis’s overall play in that first round Series against Denver I know that they lost but Anthony Davis I thought did everything you would possibly want from a guy that I think at this point is the best player on the Lakers the guy you want to be your franchise face averaged roughly 28 16 and four little under two blocks 63% from the field 81% at the line I thought he basically played joic to a draw I thought he handled the physicality he played the second half of game five basically with a dead arm like even the moment when he called out the team and I think a lot of people thought the coaching staff for not being on the same page when Anthony Davis does something like that you take notice because he’s a pretty soft spoken I think kind of a soldier in that that was game two where he was fantastic and didn’t really touch the ball in the fourth that was kind of what bre thought that was a moment I was a moment for sure are you not number one yet I feel like you and I are on the same way I mean the Boston win for the Lakers I mean a great moment it was unbelievable no no LeBron uh no uh ad and still they go into Boston who obviously ended up having a pretty good season themselves and a couple games earlier yeah they they did all right themselves and as you indicated AKA uh Darin ham maybe a little on the hot seat after a bizarre loss in Atlanta just a couple days earlier all the Lakers did would was come back and absolutely stun the Celtics in the garden that’s always that’s always a fun day for them and brez if you can remember because we were covering this a lot back back then they had a horrible January yeah and we thought that that was when they had to make up not only did they not make up they fell and it was almost like okay ad and LeBron are out The Season’s what the trade deadline’s coming it’s over and they literally flipped it without those guys and Jared Vander went down in the second quarter that he was having he was having a great game it was awesome well what’s your number one my number one is the double overtime classic in the Bay Area against the Warriors believe 145 144 win six Lakers and double figures LeBron has a triple double four Lakers play 45 minutes or more d’angela Russell hits five threes including the mother of all just quos Stones three like this was on the heels of a couple turnovers a a misot of his own like you could see the look on Darin and LeBron’s face like don’t do it don’t do it like I’m doing it I am doing this hoisting that was a good list by you guys good work all right coming up on access LeBron has staff and the Pistons who let Monty Williams go on Wednesday and Monty hopefully you’re on a beep somewhere collecting that 65 million because you deserve it time to play fill in the blank brez are you ready one word to describe the Lakers hiring oh AK you’re going first not brez one to describe the Lakers hiring of JJ I know they just told me that in my a is blank risky risky and by the way that’s not necessarily me saying it was a bad Risky Business great movie sometimes you got to say that’s exactly what the Lakers did with this hire they said what the B and I get it like there is a lot of intrigue to JJ reic he’s got a lot of Charisma he’s clearly a really smart guy but to some degree they are hiring him on Vibes like you’re you’re wishcasting in some degree you’re projecting your want onto him a vision for him it’s risky there’s an age demographic that loved that joke of bars and there’s an age demographic that has no idea what we’re talking about Tom Cruz movie go check it out all right one word to describe the Lakers hiding of JJ is what all that matters is if we’re laughing about it that’s really all it is uh intriguing intriguing is the word like an emoji would be like maybe stroking the chin like work out I I like it um obviously a unique hire for the Lakers usually they go with an assistant or a head coach obviously they never dip into the college ranks although they almost did a couple weeks ago and here they are going up uh with with uh coming up with I should say a hire that I think could really pay dividends I like it guys JJ’s best quality as a coach is going to be blank communication communication he is clearly very good at articulating complicated X’s and O’s complicated schemes in very clear concise ways he does this in ways that LeBron clearly respects I mean he he called the NBA Finals very very quickly having not been in the game very long he’s an excellent Communicator that’s going to help a lot PR JJ’s best quality as a coach I’m going to go with access I think the door to his office will always be open you know he a first year coach uh after being a longtime player and a successful analyst as you pointed out I think he’s going to want to learn whether it’s from his assistant coaches who hopefully have some experience or or from players LeBron obviously could be a really good uh almost like a mentor to JJ reic I mean they’re almost the same uh age uh it’s crazy how close they are in age and I think access will be a huge part of what JJ reic wants to do around here blank is the thing JJ needs to work on to be most successful reps and unfortunately that’s not something that he can do ahead of game one it’s kind of like being a parent you can prepare yourself and ask around as much of everything that you’re about to experience but you have no idea what it is until you actually start doing it never had he’s going to need reps well I was really directing it to did you hear about G’s Daughter by USC Volleyball yeah Junior let go guys guys focus focus focus was the question again blank is the thing JJ needs to work on most to be successful yeah he’s got to be calm Under Pressure I already outlined the one scenario late game you’ve got the ball you’re down two or three 5 seconds left what you going to drop in the Huddle also St LeBron’s getting hacked or ads getting hacked ref’s hit you with a tech in the first half you got to make sure you don’t get thrown out in the second second half even at the fouls keep not going your way so I’m really curious to see how he is under pressure situations look the Lakers are going to be a good team you know they’re not NE not necessarily going to be a top three or four team in the west and he remain calm with they’re kind of lingering below that in the standings as the playoffs get closer all right blank is the most important attribute JJ needs on this coaching staff experience he is going to need some guys who have been there done that I will Lobby again for Scott Brooks yes try to get him on this staff as the lead assistant I’m all in on that one too like I love the idea of it but why do that name get me excited I don’t know what it is but I I like that he was a su successful coach he’s dealt with people before yes trust him he’s coached in the NBA Finals blank like his Rich Paul blank is the most important attribute JJ needs X is you know and I think he has them based on what we’ve all heard over the last several months on on this podcast that he has with LeBron by the way curious to see if he gets to keep doing that or if he decides to keep doing it cuz that’ll be interesting but look he he’s got to he’s got to really know what he’s doing in that huddle uh Lebron will be watching ad will be watching if D’s back he’ll be watching too okay we got to be quick JJ’s relationship LeBron is blank unique like it’s very rare to go from podcasting Partners to coach wine partners and you know LeBron is still got some stature over reic so it’s Unique JJ’s relationship LeBron is well documented it’s very public there there’s no uh question that exists and AKA I know you kind of rolled your eyes when I said well documented but um I kind of like that word I do too it was it because it’s hyphenated did you not want it a bit of a cheat I’m not going to lie guys fair enough I didn’t think too hard on that one St is m for you have passed the entrance office drive safely [Music]

  1. The Lakers have been a mess and it only has more manure to come with this hiring. They didn't list to proven coaches now they are supposed to listen to JJ and Lebron hilarious

  2. Yeh yeh yeh… Lakers are on the rise and will be fighting for the Playin Round again. If you don’t give LeBaby at least 3 more All Stars… lakers will be bottom feeder again. LeBaby is No MJ nor Kobe. 1. MJ 🐐, 2. Kobe Baby Goat, 3. LeBron – Bambie !!

  3. So to be honest the Lal rooster is weak. They need Al least 4 new players if they want a new championship

  4. JJ is not even a winner as a player why would you think he will elevate the Lakers? This so called experts are just dumbed AF!

  5. JJ redick is an underachiever the Orlando magic spent the first round pick on him he didn't pan out I never seen nobody look at a scouting report be like oh JJ redick song here I got to look out for him😂😂😂

  6. I'll give it a month and they going to have some type of drama in LA as soon as LeBron James get on that podium and say something about the coaching it's going to hit rock bottom

  7. JJ first thing to do is to send AD and Russell to the China basketball league, after we'll lebron I don't care he is old , however lebron needs to go too.

  8. Lakers are in the business of show business. People will watch and this is news. If you can’t win the games. Win the news! No one in their right mind thinks this will work. It’s show business.

  9. What a shock. One of Lebron's biggest fan boys is now his coach…… And the NBA wonders why it keeps losing fans…… This catering to one player who isn't even that good. That doesn't even play both sides of the ball…. Yeah, this catering to one player is really killing this league.
