I mean, I’d hope that both the organization and its franchise player aren’t going in to the season with the mindset of fans clamoring for Flagg
Obviously if the season goes downhill then plans change for the org but I’d assume the players don’t care about our draft stock when that player could replace their spot on the team

Nah they need to tank this year lol
It-sOkBro
scottie IQ RJ Yak = too good to tank. we’re coming for that 6th seed

Where does it say he doesn’t want to tank?

The pic would be better if he was at a gym or basketball court and not a club lol

Players never want to tank. You don’t get to the NBA without being insanely competitive. But they might not have much choice if the FO decides to play a rookie centre a ton of minutes.
Whatever your view on the Peoltl trade, this team is cheeks when he sits. And it take a lot of time for even superstar centres to develop.

Who is that guy Scottie is hanging out with?
pskill43
But imagine copper Flagg or Ace Bailey added to this team alongside Scottie

Everyone feels hopeful in the offseason/training camp. Regular season is usually a rude awakening for half the teams in the nba. Let’s see where we’ll fall in the end lol.

No player wants to tank. That’s why tanking is not something that is easy to do. Players get to the NBA because they are very competitive and want to win. No players wants to lose. The only reason the Raptors “tanked” last season is because of the large amount of injuries. They were pushing for a play-in spot but once Scottie got injured it was obvious that wasn’t going to happen so they had to change directions.
The way the Raptors can have a strong team in the near future is to not sign random veteran FA’s, try and trade players for picks and get a pool of young guys that will compete with each other for spots in the lineup. You can’t patch things up with vet signing or trades here and there.

Even when u don’t have a contending roster, a winning culture is still very key and it’s clear that the core guys here are aware of that.
