L. Frank and M. Hughes (Sr. VP/Asst. GM) were seen chatting with 6’10” forward Dinos Mitoglou and his agent at the SEF stadium where the Greek NT was holding a training camp for the OQT, per Tolis Kotzias of Greek outlet SDNA. With talks at advanced stages, a deal is expected to materialize soon.

Previous thread: [The LA Clippers met with Konstantinos Mitoglou in Athens, Greece earlier this month. 6’10 power forward is considered one of the best at his position. Mitoglou could exercise his NBA-out clause, and leave Panathinaikos after winning the Euroleague.](https://www.reddit.com/r/LAClippers/comments/1dkl2s0/the_la_clippers_met_with_konstantinos_mitoglou_in/)
>Mitoglou has a €3M buyout. (comparison: Facundo Campazzo to DEN → €6M buyout, Gabriel Deck to OKC → €1.3M, Usman Garuba to HOU → €3M) The Clippers can pay directly to Panathinaikos only $725k (by the CBA restrictions) and the rest of the buyout will come out of Mitoglou’s own pockets in order for them to release him.
>This development between the two sides is due to the work done by Clippers former international scout Francesco Alfier who was promoted to a video analyst heading into ’23-24 season. The team was monitoring the situation.

Random useless side note:
* 6’11” in shoes
* Spurs were interested in him a few years ago, per EuroLeague journalist [Matteo Andreani](https://x.com/matty_vanpersie/status/1352934519024836608)
* Clippers had the NBA rights to Mathias Lessort (Trez-esque center who plays alongside Mitoglou in this video), but traded it & a ’23 second-round pick to Wolves for a ’20 No. 33 pick (Daniel Oturu)
¯_(ツ)_/¯ man whatever at this point
I see this working out for us and it greatly fills the size we need for our team
