[K.C. Johnson] The Bulls have hired Eric Waters as Director of Health & Performance, per sources. Waters served as Bulls asst trainer from 2000-04 and head athletic trainer for Wizards (2004-16) and Jazz (2017-22). Bulls also interviewed Casey Smith, who signed with Knicks, for position.

    Utah has a pretty terrific health record fwiw. I think top 10 every year in man-games lost while Waters was there. Idk how much you can attribute that to any given athletic director but seems like a good hire

    I’m a little worried he has a connection to the past Bulls medical group.

    I know only an assistant but still. I feel like the Bulls should have a policy of all past Bulls trainers and doctors should be labeled “Do Not Interview.”
