Milwaukee bucks officially announcing moments ago that Doc Rivers will be the 18th head coach in franchise history the question Loom how far will they go now the next head coach of the Milwaukee bugs Doc Rivers well hello Milwaukee it’s great to be back personally for me being back here is is a dream it took me a while Rivers has a track record of coaching stard Duos just look at this list Rivers has coached 11 of the players on the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team it’s a lot of talking with Doc you know sometimes we get on the court and we supposed to be starting practice and Doc will talk for 15 minutes straight my road is to work my for you guys we are going to be human my door is open I need you to talk to me more basically you got to be I think your body position is often in the wrong spot we got to be here for one Reon that’s to win a title when it comes to the rocker room just keep it simple this is what I want from you this is what I expect from you this what I want from you you know what I’m saying when the coach try to keep you accountable and make the whole team keep you accountable makes your job easy we got to give ourselves to this team we got to give ourselves to each other dog style leadership is dog is dog man you know what I’m saying what you see is what you get uh I would describe his leadership style as just uh forward nobody individually scores on this team we score if Chris has 50 we had 50 if jannis had 50 we had 50 if Dame had 50 we have 50 we know they all can play he knocks it down but we got to figure out it’s the best way for them all to play together and all to be great in what they do oh the threes are wild this would be the type of group that you have the best opportunity to connect and change to the quickest we’re going to get there bring it in guys come on together on three 1 2 three man give me one Dan you got to give me one time touch that watch baby NBA Allstar game best from the West against the best from the East his second half cour of the game MVPs goes to Damen Lillard I’m just happy to get another one man this year it was stiff competition it was a high bar every round so I think it was just um a positive break for me like something that I could use as momentum and that’s what it feels like I just I feel strong and I I feel like prepared to go into the second half uh [Music] Stronger I don’t think it’s a secret how much I I want to win and um that’s how we got here today day time is Alive and Well in Milwaukee it’s a marathon and you’re not going to win the first day just got to figure out how to do it together and each day try to keep making those steps in the right direction we want to win this is the a team that’s you know built to win now I felt that we could do it I think it’s the best place to winning championship this is where I’m supposed to be right now and again every move I make is about win I want to tit championship and nothing less you want win a championship it’s that simple you expect to hold that Trophy up again someday I want to win I want to win Champion I want to be the last team standing this is the place where I should be able to win for the first time you know if you’re going to have fear of the deer you got to Fear the Deer go look at p b always causes some kind of trouble passing the ball let’s go he’s one of those guys that SED for my L as you say he’s a a-hole [Music] but when he plays on your team you’re like that’s my aole you know and I love him I’m not going to make everyone happy and he’s not he shut up yet he’s still talking give me that clipboard my Approach is very strong but once you get to know me you understand man only thing he does is want to win Happ skipping jumping for three it’s contagious and I think that’s good for our team I’ve always been the energy guy for the team5 for pis pis firing up the crowd it’s good to have another guy that’s built from that same claw thing um words is hard on his sleeve as well cuz he gets me hyped up and he lowkey put a battery in my back every every time I’m out there on the court so I don’t think I ever liked playing against him he always coming marks the game he’s like an instigator he push your butons you need that you just need guys like that on your team and the fact we have both of those guys are great for [Music] us following back-to-back wins over the Timberwolves and 76ers the Bucks took aim at a three-game post Allstar break winning streak hosting the Charlotte Hornets at fiser Forum the Beverly touch feed over to poris and poris is still perfect this time he’s here from the corner talk about that let that out Bobby poris teas up a three and he sticks it from straight on I don’t need nobody get me going I st going you know basketball is a rhythm game when the ball’s moving I think the ball finds energy and it finds the right guy again he’s three for three from behind the arc Dame loses his Defender finishes like that Damian Lillard shakes the defender then pulls up and hits the 3 quarter beat the Lillard Lillard under loads and knocks down another three from the right wing I think what you’re seeing now with Dame is he’s very he’s getting very comfortable he knows where his shots are we starting to figure it out it’s not about how many points you score how many shots you shoot we just trying to get wins and change the narrative everybody talking and the connection perfect between the two I we know what we got in this room I think our guys uh understand since the break we don’t have a lot of time and so we have to get to it and our guys are starting to do that we got to keep one another accountable throughout the 23 left games it’s been a hard season for all of us uh but now now we we back and we got to we got to keep on getting better I know we are capable basketball team of playing high level and winning high high level games give more to your teammate give more to yourself give more to this team um and more will come out good will come out of that I just think we have to pour in more no Brook Had A Hammer like that last night probably why not I mean why not only is one shot rattles it home D dials it [Music] up wow timing the ladder and something to talk about Ajax and he un course a beauty he is absolutely unconscious three pointer buly Beasley a little shimmy look at the D two in a row come on guys second game in a row and we’ve held teams to under 50 50 or less in the second half when we get stops we we take our game to a different level all right we just got to keep building we got to keep moving that ball I thought that was great let’s get out of here let’s go yes sir together on three 1 2 three well you just hope they can ride some of those High well once the playoffs start you it’s a new season I just I’ve never felt like I’m ever in a storm you know there are storms and you walk through them and there’s Sunshine at the end of it but you have to go through stuff to get stuff I’ve always looked at it that way when you put yourself in the category Pi you want to win a championship that’s a hell of a goal to set and it set you up for failure obviously with the injuries nothing you can do about that like we were not going to win with our injuries so this is something no buck fan wants to see but that still doesn’t mean you’re not just as disappointed this one because of injury was taken away from us more than we lost it next year we hope to be healthy and we can go after it but still disappoint but to get a full off season where we know um what to expect about you know who’s going to be in that building some type of continuity it’s going to be great for us not U kind of questioning and trying to figure out how it’s going to look moving forward I have to keep on figuring out ways to complement my teamate and we we tried to figure out a game and a game plan that compliments think about it jannis worked out all summer that knowing he was going to have Dame Dame worked out a little bit that knowing he was going to have Giannis Chris the same way now all three get to work out this summer you know when me Chris and uh Dave was on the floor and we were healthy we were one of the best offense in the NBA and you can go and check that up topid set upid knock it down first retakes the lead having Dame out there it makes the game easier y extends simple as that La pass yanis cleans it up and plunges it through when Chris Middleton is healthy he’s a problem Chris midleton the continuity part was very difficult to get any continuity we never really had a chance to create our offense that we wanted to create we did it on that West Coast trip and it was starting to cookis for the D and then I think Dane went out then Giannis went out but we’ll have that chance so I’m looking forward to [Music] it I had no plans on coaching this year but but then this opportunity came up and the the thought of coaching those three guys in this city this city played a big part it for me it really did people don’t get that but it did I believe in this thing I really do I’m going to do whatever I can for this franchise I really am because it means more to me than I think you think usually right after the year you want to go take a break I can’t wait to get started cuz we want to win it we can do a lot of winning but you want to be the winner unless you’re the winner nothing else countes
