Detroit Pistons Interested In Tim Hardaway Jr? Would Tobias Harris Be A Good Addition?

to but this summer FanDuel is hooking up all customers with a boost or a bonus daily that’s right there’s something for everyone every single day all summer long visit fanduel.com lockon to get started today today’s episode is gonna have a lot of fun stuff in it obviously we’re gonna start off talking about Tim Hardway Jr and this new rumor from Mark Stein about him potentially joining the Pistons in the trade through trade market um I want to talk about Tobias Harris and whether he’d be a good move because Tobias Harris is becoming another Hot Topic amongst the Pistons fans fan base amongst the Pistons Community again because a recent report said that the Pistons are going to be huge players for him which I mean I feel like everyone should have already known this based off what we heard during the season um but we’ll talk about that and also to wrap up the podcast really looking forward to this one I’m going to give my final prediction on what I think is going to happen tomorrow night in the draft I’m recording this on the 25th I’m going to give my final prediction what I think the Pistons will do tomorrow night so stay tuned for that um and before we get into Tim away junor I do want to say tomorrow’s episode for the draft there’s going to be a late episode because I’m going to be at the presser after the Pistons whatever they do or whatever uh they end up doing tomorrow the presser afterwards with trasan Lon so I have to get home and then I have to record and get it posted so I just want to give you guys a heads up that it will be a later episode but an episode will be coming out obviously to break down the draft as soon as I get home um but anyways um Tim Hardway Jr to the Detroit Pistons all so so in a recent Mark Stein substack article he mentioned that Tim Hardway Jr to the Detroit Pistons is something that could happen this off season and with that trait he mentioned that Quin Grimes is a is a potential uh player that would be going back to Dallas um am I do I believe this would be a good move for the Detroit Pistons well look I know I have this I I I already know what people are going to say to me I know I have a list I’m going to pull it up I know I have a list right here you guys see it good players that Pistons fans are too good for and you guys see all the names we have you guys know about you guys know about that list the the joking but also serious list um that I have right here so I know as soon as I answer this people are gonna be like well co go ahead and put him on the list well listen what I like Tim Hardway Jr on this team I mean sure like if he was just for free sure but not definitely not for Quinn Grimes and like like in order to get Tim Hardway Jr if I’m giving up Quin Grimes from Tim Hardway Jr I want to get a first round pick in return and he better be or Tim Hardway junr better be coming back with assets and to me second round picks are not assets the way teams are just buying second round picks whenever they want them like it truly like I don’t consider them to be some crazy ass unless it’s like a 31st 32nd pick that you’re trading for on draft night because a guy that you like has fallen to that into early second round outside of that I’m not really looking at second round picks as assets so if Tim arter Jr is coming with a legit asset then sure like I get it he can play somewhat like he can still play somewhat and you’re getting an asset with it we talked about how much asset management is seems like it is to trasan so far through is presser I understand it but if you’re giving up anything of value to the Dallas Mavericks for Tim Hardway junr and you are not getting an asset back I am not going to be very happy about it I’m not going to be too too crazy about it so let’s just break it all down Tim Ward Jr is on an expiring contract so it’s not like it’s a long-term salary cap hell move and it’s not like you can’t flip him at the deadline as an expiring contract that could happen yes so I I do want to bring that up I want to be fair that could happen however Tim Hardway Jr is 32 years old Tim Hardway Jr just had a not so great season I would say shot 40% from the field shot 35% from deep that was down from 38% this past year and he’s again he’s getting much older 54.2 true shooting percentage this past year was not incredibly efficient not a good Defender and I’m not going to bring up the fact that Dallas stopped playing him in the in the finals and in the Conference Finals because the Pistons like they’re not in a playoff they’re not a playoff team so I don’t care if the guy can’t play in the NBA Finals the Pistons can’t even make its first round so like that that’s never been like something I’m too concerned about like it’s not I don’t care about it that at all my concern is timore hudway JR I think is on the decline whereas for example a guy like Tobias I don’t think Tobias is on the decline I think Tobias is still a good player um I think he’s still at that same level that he’s been the last two years I like I I still think you’re going to get that same production from him whereas a Tim Hardway Jr obviously we’ll talk about Tobias later Tim Hardway Jr I think it’s on the decline right now and at 32 years old if you’re giving up someone like a Quin Grimes who is projecting as a three and D guy I know he only played six games for the Pistons and I know that in those six games it sounds like he was hurt during those games but nonetheless he played wasn’t that great offensively I do just want people to to go back to what he looked like in New York his first two years in the league shot 38% from Deep 46% his last year from the floor really enticing player and we saw saw that he played really well defensively even while he was hurt with the Detroit Pistons in the six games he played defensively looked good and in the one game that he was hitting his shots against New York in that fourth quarter you had people instantly saying oh my God does he fit better next to Kay like that guy the guy is that the type of guy you need next to Cade because how impactful a three and D player could be and he was also attacking close outs like that one game I only played six so it’s all small sample size but in that one game against New York when he was finally Hing his outside shot it was like oh my God okay we see we see the type of player why they would and got him and how he can help like you got that in that game against the Knicks 14 points three blocks a steel assist four nine from the field three or six from Deep so my point is why are you giving up a Quinn Grimes who I would I would make the argument I don’t think it’s too far off to say he could be better than thj next year when you take into account defense and offense especially if he gets back to shooting 38% from Deep if he’s shooting 38% from deep and providing defense I don’t even think it’s close like like if he can get back to that after recovering from this injury then yeah he’s not he’s better than thj so if you’re giving that up for thj and you’re not getting a legit asset with it I just don’t understand why you’re really interested in doing so I I don’t I don’t see the I don’t see the upgrade there I don’t see the like the the reason for doing it um and along with that look this is gonna sound again this is gonna come back to the list kind of thing this is going to sound a little for some people be like well cool this doesn’t sound very consistent I think it does but I get why some people may you know say it doesn’t sound very consistent um I am as we’re going to get into talking about Tobias sis I am with the Detroit Pistons getting Tobias Harris I am on pro team pro Tobias Harris like I’m I’m cool with the Pistons going to get Tobias I think he fits I think he does he does what the team needs I get it however if the Pistons off season was like something of just Tobias Harris Alec b or not Alec Burks Tobias Harris and Tim Hardway Jr with like another smaller move like um I tweeted this out just like an hour ago is that just basically like name brand boan and Burks like Tobias is probably a little better version of boan I think I think he’s a better version of boan and then Burks and thj are like you know I think around the same level so like are you just getting like bigger named of the version guys you guys just had last last year like that would be a bit concerning that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to get Tobias if they get Tobias and they also get other players like I’m cool with it I’m cool with getting Tobias and if they got thj I wouldn’t be like Furious I wouldn’t be on here spazzing or anything I just like unless you’re getting a legit asset with him I don’t get what the purpose is there I think you have about better option than Quin Grimes currently on the roster I just think he was hurt and wasn’t able to play also if you did trade Quinn Grimes for Tim Hardway Jr let’s say like a second round pick or two second round picks you essentially then have traded like buan Burks and they sent a second round pick with them right I I’m I’m kind of forgetting right now I uh what either way buan and Burks for Tim Hardway Jr in two seconds like is that something like that basically would have been like the buan Burks were traded for Quin Grimes and now you flipping Quin Grimes for thj in a few seconds like that would be I just don’t think that would be very good so um I’m I guess you can say I’m out on thj he’s just de he’s getting older I think he’s declining and unless he’s coming again with a legit ass I’m just not I’m I’m not in on it so um I mean but we’ll see we’ll see what what happens maybe Tran has something up his sleeve all of a sudden the Pistons get Tim marter Jr with Josh green or something like that would be amazing but I highly doubt them Dallas MAV would do something like that or maybe it’s you know maybe they get a legit first maybe they get their 2025 first from Dallas for thj I I’d understand it with that like if you got the 2025 first from them but um like I said I we’ll have to see I’m so far right now just without it ever like without this rumor becoming more than a rumor right now I’m out on thj I’m not not too big a fan of going after thj right now two years ago yes he was younger I thought he was playing better but two year he’s 32 now I’m I’m not I think he’s on the decline I’m not too big of a fan of it but let me know in the comment section down below or over on Twitter at cuka Hill how you guys feel about that would you guys be cool with getting Tim Hardway Jr if it meant giving up a Quinn Grimes for him let me know again comment section down below or over on Twitter at Cahill when we come back is Tobias Harris oh hold on see as soon this happens every this happens too often um I just got a notification from Evan cider while while I was about to go to the next uh segment it says the Pistons have had conversations with teams about trading back from number five overall per James Ed the third I don’t know if this is a new article James has posted James has talked about this in the past so I don’t know if he’s just referencing a real old one or if James just dropped another one um but he says Detroit has let it known that they are open to taking unwanted salary for more assets this offseason all right so I mean this will get to this kind of leads itself to what I’m going to talk about in the final segment of the podcast when I give my prediction my final prediction what’s going to happen tomorrow so stay tuned for that um but doesn’t look like that notification was something crazy I just want to make sure we you know I I I read that notification in case something happened during the podcast but anyways is Tobias Harris a good move is Tobias Harris would he be a good signing for the Detroit Pistons this offseason I love sports grew up playing sports I still play sports today I obviously cover the Pistons I love sports I love them so much I never want them to stop but as the playoffs have wind it down and we get fewer games and the sports aren’t you guys again for Mak locked on Pistons your first listen of every single day we are free and available all your podcast platforms if you haven’t already hit that subscribe button the YouTube channel or leave us a five star review whatever podcast platform you’re listening to this on that’s another great way to support the podcast all right so so I I’m I’m going to frustrate some people with this EP or this segment I’m going to have a lot of people on my side we have some people happy I’m G have some people pretty upset but we we I want to see where where a lot of you guys land on um Tobias Harris I don’t need to talk about the recent rumor because this has been something that’s been talked about literally since probably like last December um that the Pistons were going to go after Tobias Sis’s offseason um and it’s been said on Twitter by some people and I’ve kind of said it on the podcast numerous times before but I’ll come out and say it again Tobias Harris I believe wants to come back to Detroit he wants to play in Detroit for family reasons and because he’s I I’ve heard he still comes back to Detroit in the offseason he wants to come back and play here like this is this is a player that would be happy to be playing in Detroit with the Pistons so let’s just get out the way that that’s part of the reason why he is linked to the Pistons but also and because he’s a free agent but also Tobias Harris is a good basketball player and this is where we’re going to start making people mad we’re I’m gonna make some people mad with this but I I I really don’t care because I’m going to bring facts and statistics to just prove what I believe has become just NBA Twitter and and National media trolling and and jokes becoming a reality of a player’s basketball evaluation a basketball player’s analysis I know Tobias Harris was the the the punching back for Sixers fans when in the playoffs I know Tobias Harris Had a Bad series this past year in the playoffs a bad first round Series this past year I understand that I understand he’s been the butt of a lot of jokes I know people were making jokes about him what what was the cookie that what is it a crumble cookie whatever they were calling them You’ sell them for a bag of crumble cookies like I get all the jokes but now I see that two these jokes have now become like the reality apparently to some people of what Tobias Harris actually is as a player because the jokes do not match who he is actually as a player I I I didn’t know it was this bad until like I started seeing a lot of people talk about it today I want people to understand this actually before we you know let’s let’s pause in that I don’t want to get into Tobias Harris the player just yet I want to say this if the Pistons were signing Tobias Harris to a long-term contract that is bad okay let me make this clear if they are signing him to a longterm contract that is bad if they are signing him to a shortterm contract that is fine if they are signing him to a two-year deal that has him soaking up cap space because they couldn’t get anyone else they have to get above the tax the luxury uh or the cap floor I’m sorry at some way so if they just say you know what we’ll give Tobias a two-year deal one plus one and we’ll we’ll give them 25 million this year and 25 next year have it be like a team option whatever or or a player option where you can just trade it either way just a shortterm two-year contract that is completely fine I hope that you would be able to give him for around 20 million maybe even less than that that would be great but if you went up to 25 for a two-year deal I’m not sweating it that’s not too big of a deal it’s not handicapping you long term and you can still flip it especially if you keep a team option on the back end like that stuff is again I want to make it clear a long-term deal no longer than two years if it’s more like if you give him a three-year deal like 18 million a year like I don’t think that’s bad either but if you’re giving him a longer than two-year deal I don’t want it to be more than 20 million if you’re giving him a two-year deal I’m not I’m not uh against overpaying him for those two years so he can soak up your cap space and get you to the cap floor and you can have that large salary to then move in a potential trade to match salaries in that trade because you need salaries to match if you want to move on from one of the young guys or if you want to move off of a pick like let’s say at the deadline next year this is all hypothetical I’m just giving you a reason why I wouldn’t care about paying him 25 million for a two-year contract like let’s say it’s a two-year deal one plus one it’s a player option in the back end um let’s say at this deadline trason decides okay I want to trade Jay Knight I want to trade Jaylen dur one of those guys okay let’s just say that and there’s a player out there that you can trade that a team is willing to give you this player for him but this guy is making 27 million a year $26 million a year somewhere around there okay you attach Jane ivy with or Jan or Jaylen Duram whoever with the Tobias so you can match that salary because you need a larger contract to match the salary and again like I said that amount of money on your books for two years is not putting you in salary cap hell so now that we got that out the way now I want to talk about Tobias as the player because Tobias Harris the player I I don’t people who are saying Tobias Harris is not a good basketball player are factually and just simply wrong they’re just wrong I don’t care what jokes you have I don’t care how you know how you how much you want to read into his last playoffs in in Philly I don’t care how much you want to read into the narratives about you know oh Tobias sold them every time in the playoffs you just want to stick to that instead of the actual evidence that we have I don’t care about that if you’re not gonna actually argue with the evidence I I don’t really care but here’s the evidence for Tobias Harris this past year for Tobias Harris at 31 years old which by the way again I don’t think he’s on the decline at all this past year at 31 years old he played 70 games he at 49% from the field 35% from Deep on 3.7 attempts he averaged 17 point seven or 17.2 points a game 6.5 rebounds 3.1 assist he shot 53% on all two-pointers and he had a 57.6 true shooting percentage that was him this past year that is a damn good offensive player let’s go over the last three years of Tobias Harris career 16 points a game 49% from the field 37% from Deep 54% all two-pointers 86% from the pat on line let’s go over the last five years of his career over the last five years of his of his career 17.6 points game 49% from the field 37% from three 53% from two-point range 86% from the freet thr line he has been the same player same consistent efficient offensive player each year of his career in Philly that’s been who Tobias Harris is and this past year he was just as good this past year he was the same level of player a little bit less efficient with the with the higher role that he had not inefficient still was an efficient player just not as efficient as the prior year but efficient offensive basketball player here’s another here’s some more stats for you this past year he had 254 possessions on spot UPS he ranked in the 77th percentile very good according to Synergy in transition 237 possessions he ranked in the 71st percentile very good post-ups 162 possessions he ranked in the 73rd percentile very good in isolation 139 possessions 56 percentile Synergy ranks that as good on Cuts 66 percentile very good according to Synergy this is he’s just a he can literally score in every way he is a all a well-rounded offensive basketball player an efficient offensive basketball player an all catching shoots he was in the 56% or 52nd percentile on uh around the rim he was an average finisher a 45th percentile cor finish according to Synergy on 407 attempts at The Rim th this guy can score the basketball in multiple ways he’s an efficient catch and shooter he’s an efficient uh scorer when abusing mismatches in the post he can score in transition by spotting up Beyond The Arc and also finishing around the rim he can isolate some he can cut to the basket this he can literally score in multitude of ways and he does it efficiently I understand if you don’t want to pay Tobias hars a lot of money long term I do not either and the Pistons are not going to do that if they have to pay Tobias hars lot of money long term they’re not going to sign him to that but that’s not what’s going to happen but if you can get Tobias Harrison a good deal this idea that Tobias Harris is not a good basketball player is crazy it’s not true it’s just simply again like I said it’s feeding into NBA Twitter and National media jokes and trolling and all of a sudden that has become the actual analysis of this basketball player Tobias Harris is not a bad basketball player he is a good offensive player I’ve heard some mixed things about his defense in Philly the last this past season I heard from some Philly people that he was fine defensively I have some people in the Pistons Community tell me he was not good defensively this past year I don’t know where to believe that I heard from a lot of people that he was really good defensively for them in two seasons ago so it’s in there he gave more effort I know for a fact in Philly it seems like he a little bit more mixed reviews defensively this past year for Philadelphia but he’s a better Defender no matter what than boan like I don’t understand like why people think Tobias Harris is a bad basketball player as long as you are getting him on a good deal deal a shortterm deal that’s uh uh money friendly A Team friendly which I again I think that’s what’s going to happen he’s not going to sign here for 30 plus million dollars that that’s not what’s going to happen if they can sign him to that everyone should be happy he is quite literally exactly what Kate needs next to him at like the three or the four a big a big strong guy long arms can space the floor can score offensively can take some of the load off of Kade offensively and gives effort defensively and has shown the ability to defend I I don’t I I I truly don’t get where this Tobias Harris hate is coming from again I understand it if you are under the impression that he’s gonna be paid this crazy amount of dollars but he’s not going to and if he does then I’ll criticize it but I promise you I really do not see that happening and also I do want to say this he had a bad playoff series his past year at Philly so now everyone says that he’s bad in the playoffs I do want to just make this clear for everybody that’s not true again again that just falls into the lazy narrative people have about with jokes this past year he was bad with Philadelphia the previous year 15 points a game 52% from the field 36% from Deep uh 59% on all two pointers 87% from the free Throne line the previous year before that 17 points a game 50% from the field 38% from Deep 56% on all twos 87% from the free throw line the previous year before that 22 points a game 48% from the field 37% from Deep and 52% on all two-pointers 87% for the free thr the line Tobias Harris is quite literally the same player everywhere he goes like he he is going to shoot the damn near the exact same percentages no matter what volume he’s on he’s gonna shoot the exact same no matter what role he’s really playing this past year in the playoffs in those six games yes that actually he played bad in that series but outside of that literally every in any situation regular season playoffs Philly Clippers Pistons he’s been the same player like and what that player is is a consistent off defensive roll rounded scorer who can help you offensively will try defensively and space is just a good basketball player I don’t I I I’m confused I I don’t know where the Tobias hate is coming from and I’d like to see the evidence not your feelings I’d like to see the evidence from the people that think Tobias Harris is a bad basketball player where’s that evidence coming from because I don’t see it he’s been the same player for like seven years I I don’t I don’t get it he hasn’t really shown drop off he’s been the same efficient player for six seven years I I I I’m a bit confused on it but like I said if they overpaid him for a long-term deal then I’m with people on that outside of that I don’t get it when we come back I’m giving you guys my final prediction for what’s going to happen on draft day tomorrow man now this is going to be interesting before I give you guys mine I do want to hear from all of you guys what is your prediction I want your final prediction for what’s going to happen tomorrow for the Detroit Pistons but when we come back I’m going to give you guys my final prediction and man I think it’s going to be I think it might uh it’ll be I want to hear see what you guys’ response are uh to that so I want to thank you guys again for being locked on Pistons your first listen of every single day freom Reb on podcast platforms hit that subscribe butt to the YouTube channel if you have not already or leave us a five star review know whatever podcast me listening to this on is another great way to support the podcast and now here we are I’m recording this the day before the draft again I do want to let you guys know that I will be at the presser for the draft so I will not have an draft episode until later on in the night so um be ready to listen to it the following morning or if you want to stay up a little later and listen to it then there you go um just wanted to give you guys that heads up um all right so like I said I want to hear from you guys first tweet me or comment down below what your guys’ prediction what happens tomorrow here’s my final prediction I think the Pistons there is a lot of talk about the Pistons trading back or whether they stay at the five pick or the fifth pick my prediction is the Detroit Pistons will be moving back from the fifth overall pick and I even have a trade drafted up here for you guys I’m G bring up here um I think that I do I know for a factor going trade back no I’m not saying that but if I had to guess I think it’s likely that they trade back Trent has made way too big of a deal and it’s been reported way too much that they want assets they want future assets and like I said in the last episode the quickest way to doing that right now especially in a draft like this that is so like I don’t not that it’s weak but simply the fact that everyone between like four and 19 are like viewed by a lot of people in like the same tarish um so especially in a draft like this move back and acquire additional Assets in the future for doing it and maybe you can still get a guy you’d like where you move back to so I do think they stay in the first round I don’t think they want to lose their pick in the first round I think they just want to gain another pick in the future I think they have some players that they like mid first round too so I think the Pistons trade back who are they trading back with you may be asking what does the trade look like well let me bring it up on the YouTube so if you guys are watching on YouTube you guys see the trade I have mocked up here I’m explaining for you guys listen on the podcast this is a deal that James Edwards has drafted up in one of his uh the athletic articles I don’t know if this would actually get it done with Portland but if it does that would be great I think I think there might me personally I think the Pistons might need to include something else with it nothing crazy but I do think the Pistons might need to include something else with it I’m not sure though we we’ll see um but the trade I have drafted up is the Pistons giving Portland Trailblazers the fifth overall pick and and they move back to pick 14 the last pick in the lottery they move back to 14 and wait actually yeah yeah wait no yeah yeah 14’s the last pick in the lottery um the 14th pick along with former pist and Jeremy Grant coming back to Detroit I think that deal would be really good for the Pistons it sounds like the Trailblazers want to move up to five especially potentially if Kling in is there um we’ll see but if this is something the Pistons can do I think they’ll do it and this is my final prediction for it now again the package may look slightly different but my final prediction is going to be that the Pistons trade back with the Portland Trailblazers for jery Grant in the 14th pick and to make it even more fun for you guys I have predicted who I think they would pick at the 14th pick and it is tjan salon now I want to say this for you guys too cuz there’s some there were some people that really incorrectly so that really grilled me for um not getting Tran’s first name correctly a few weeks ago on the podcast and told me to go listen you should be listening to stuff to try to make sure you pronounce the guy’s name right and that was true so I went back I I went made sure I listen to this Prospect highlight videos so I could hear how people pronounced his name so if people try tell me I’m pronouncing his name wrong here I don’t want to hear it like I that’s that’s how they pronounced it on the broadcast so tjon Salon he is from cholet basket he is 19 years old 610 217 pounds um I’ve had a few locked on network um Richard staman I’ve talked with him he sent me his draft notes on on uh Salon I’ve also talked with friend of the podcast Hal who I kid you not he sent me his draft notes for this for this Prospect and it was like three pages long um it’s crazy long um but basically to sum them up in like a quick like 30 seconds but I don’t want I’m not trying to make it a prospect episode this is just who I think they would pick if they move back to 14 this is my prediction um just to give you guys a brief description that I’ve read from Reading both their draft notes and their evaluation of them sounds like the same thing a very raw Prospect high ceiling kind of guy that you can a ball of clay you can kind of craft and give time to develop has has a high ceing a good size uh has the ability to grow into his frame get stronger flashes some really interesting stuff but is just super raw right now that’s what it sounds like the type of player he is so that’s my prediction um what the Pistons do I think they move back with Portland at 14 get Jeremy Grant back and I think they draft salon at 14 up with the last pick in the lottery and they also acquire future maybe potentially future assets maybe they could do that maybe they could attach like I don’t know maybe they maybe the fifth pick was one of the young guys and then you go with Jeremy that pick and maybe an additional future assets who knows but I think that’s the kind of package we’ll be looking at but that’s my final prediction Pistons trade with the Portland TR Blazers get the 14th pick Jeremy Grant and they select Salon with the 14th pick so let me know in the comment section down below what your guys’s prediction is and if my prediction were to come true how mad how happy would you be with that prediction or with that result I should say let me again let me know in the comments section down below or over on Twitter at C Hill that’s all I’ve got for you guys today thank you guys for Mak lock on Pistons your first list of every single day available on your podcast platforms hit that subscribe button at the YouTube channel leave us a five star review whatever podcast platform you’re listening to us on and until next time I’ll see you guys later till next time peace out
According to Marc Stein, there could be a deal between the Dallas Mavericks and the Detroit Pistons involving Tim Hardaway Jr; would this be a good move for the Pistons? Also, would adding Tobias Harris be a good signing for Detroit?

Dallas needs to dump THJ contract. It is not the Pistons wanting THJ.
I rather trade grimes for John Collins and Utahs 10th pick to clear cap space for them. Then sign naji Marshall and malik Beasley.
3 no d tobias lol… as a last resort. The tobias hate comes from that outrageous contract he got to be a role player.
ThJ is a washed up bum. Tobias under 20 million is a good signing. Also should sign Gary Trent jr
With all due respect, NO we're not giving up the 5th pick for Jeremy Grant!!!! Portland is trying to get rid of grant and might have to give a team Jeremy Grant and their pick and get nothing in return!!!!
He’s only got 1 year left at $17M i think. Not a fan of his as a player but if we can get a 1st for taking him off their hands, I’m down for that. And before someone says they won’t give us a 1st since he’s only got 1 year left….well guess what? They are the ones who desperately need to create cap space. Gone are the days when weaver does a team a favor. They’re backed into a corner, we need to win the negotiation and get a 1st or tell them to enjoy being stuck with him.
Hello Mr Khahil, I am a big fan of your Locked on Pistons channel. Your basketball knowledge and the information you put out are top shelf. I know lots of people have advice and criticism but I would like to humbly offer my two little cents: first of all none of them have 10K subscribers, you have 10K subscribers for a reason. Next, some of the criticism may hold water, you are man enough to examine yourself and make the appropriate changes. When you’re dealing with lots of people you WILL have haters, let the haters hate but you continue to service the MAJORITY because you DO realize the majority of us really like you don’t you? That’s why you keep growing! Keep on keeping on Ku. 🏀
Tobias is so average. What does he do that we can’t get out of Fontecchio for so much cheaper? He would cost way too much. No thanks
I totally agree with you on THJ (stay away from him unless a 1st round asset is coming) and Tobias Harris (if the price is right). I think he brings spacing and a consistent scoring/shooting while the young wings grow. He's a great stop gap until Ausar is ready. Let me say this just because people may disagree with Ku doesn't mean we don't appreciate his hard work on this channel. The whole point of this forum is to celebrate the Pistons by expressing our opinions about the team. This channel is great and Ku deserves praise for it.
If we get him for 3 yrs 90 mil I’m ok with that. Also most people want Name>Availability like PG, Kawhi, Ingram and OG Anunoby but Tobias brings health over all of them I won’t knock it at the right price.
Why would you help Portland avoid the luxury tax, and take punishment for it? That sounds like a Weaver move.
One question if the Pistons do this trade with Blazers doesn't that mean Tobias Harris is off the table? It's not a bad trade I just wanted Detroit to come out of this draft with a shooter not a raw prospect who could be a huge hit or bust. I'll stick with a trade down and Knect is the target. One can only hope.
The Tobias hate doesn’t come from his play. It came from being paid like an all star. It isn’t his fault.
Why are you even discussing a potential 1 on 1 trade of THJ for Grimes? Even in Stein's article it was clear that Grimes could be a part of a bigger trade, no one ever mentioned it is going to be 1 for 1, hell it can even be a 3 team deal or something. But I already see how everyone in the pistons community including yourself have taken it as a given and freaking out. Just chill and be rational
Philly is a tough place to please. Especially when it's expectations involved. I could see him excelling in Detroit like his first time around.
