Hot take: more to come with the Bulls.

Seeing as Pat Williams name has been thrown around. Maybe and again BIG maybe… from a dude who has no idea but pretends to be Windhorst at this time of year…. We got the straight swap (fleece) because Sam agreed to a Pat Williams sign and trade once he's available?

I welcome the down votes and speculation.

The Giddey to Chicago part only makes sense if they are tanking. Gotta believe that they are wanting to dump as many players as possible and bottom out. They are nowhere near contending and don’t have a star. Problem is that Lavine’s deal is prohibitive. Like 3 more years at $40+M. Surely they don’t resign Derozan. But the Bulls have to blow it up, right?

Part of making a trade is also making the opposing gm believe that the offer you have given him is superior.
If these teams are offering draft picks in this draft, thr value of those are so low, id take josh giddey

Giddey could be an All Star in three years.

His lack of consistent availability and rumored wage demands make it a no for me.

I doubt Presti agreed to take on any big contracts. But he may have agreed to some future trades that are meaningless, but allow us to just cut the players, so they don’t have to and look like the bad guy.

People were shocked when Indiana traded PG for Oladipo and Sabonis. They were getting ripped for it. And then both of those guys became all-stars. I think players that have already shown promise against NBA talent are more valuable than draft picks. The Bulls made the right decision going for Giddey over a couple of mid to late 1st draft picks.
