Raptors LOCKED IN on Big Man Prospect Kel’el Ware…

reports have come out indicating the Toronto Raptors are locked in on Prospect khle wear who is a big man Messi Jerry can bring in to be an athletic Young Piece that can shoot the basketball and seems like a good fit TimeWise position wise for what the Toronto Raptors are doing but this does give some insights in terms of the Raptor’s plans or expectations for Zach Edy heading into the NBA Draft when we take it in unison with reports that have going on across the league so we’ll break down the prospect of kle where him joining the Toronto Raptors and what it means for the guy Raptors fans have had their eyes on for a big chunk of this season and Zach Ed’s potential future with the Toronto Raptors but before we dive into that folks again if you guys are enjoying the daily content if what’s uh going on in Raptor’s land so basically coming from draft expert Mike Scotto of hoopy he said despite having centers Yak of purle Kelly oin and Chris bue who i’ argu is more of a power forward but said who can also play the position Toronto has repeatedly been linked to kle wear who become the center of the future after improving his stock arguably more than any player in college basketball so Kell wear is a really really interesting piece interesting player that people have been taking a look at over the course of this draft Season watching his highlights and particularly during the NBA Combine just a lot of positive things coming out about his game and we can take a look at his stats in terms of what he was able to do in college right Kell where he’s 7-footer 242 lbs a sophomore so in his second season in college if you’re not familiar with those terms like I’m not usually not but basically during his season with Indiana after transferring averaged 16 points per game close to two blocks a Night 10 rebounds free throw percentage wasn’t wasn’t that high but 42% from behind the three-point line for a 7ot athletic center that is bouncy that can finish around the rim again not a crazy volume he’s not like Steph Curry out there taking a ton of off the dribble threes you know looking a lead out there on that front but kle wear is a piece that is very very intriguing as a Toronto Raptors fan and over the course of this off season as we’ve been taking a look diving into draft prospects he’s been a guy that I’ve you know compared with Zach Ed as a piece that I would be very excited to take a look at and bring into this Raptor group but before we dive into more analysis on kle wear and the prospects at that range I do want to address the elephant in the room because again some people are really high on zachi some people aren’t they don’t like his game and I I get the logic on both sides I mean stat-wise zakie he’s 74 300 lbs a senior so a couple years of a guy over a guy like kware or other players in this draft but his stats don’t really lie in terms of what he’s able to do out there on the basketball court average 25 points per game 2.2 blocks 12 rebounds uh 62% from the field the three-point percentage extremely small sample size he’s not a jump shooter in college even though during the draft combine prove that he is able to have a decent amount of range a surprising amount but people look at this report and might say hey does this mean the Raptors are more intrigued are more locked in on a kle wear than a Zach Ed they’re more excited in terms of what’s happening on that front no maybe you could read into it like that but that is not the case because frankly Zack Edy is looking more and more like he’s going to be unavailable for the Toronto Raptors at that number 19th overall selection we have to trade up in the draft in order to acquire the Canadian big man that has been on the eyes in on the eyes and in the minds of raptors fans for years we can take a look at a recent report basically indicating that uh you know if we take a look at this here the Blazers have also worked out Purdue Center Zack Ed earlier in the month and people around the NBA that believe that they are also extremely high on him not just the 14th pick but for their first choice at number seven so the Raptors are obviously selecting at 19 right now so if Zack Edy there’s a projection there’s an expectation he could potentially go at number seven and again we have to take into account some people were saying this guy was going to go undrafted he’s going to be a late second round pick a mid toate second round pick just months ago so the fact that now the lasers are a team that’d be interested in picking him at number seven overall proves he’s been shooting up the draft boards and again probably won’t be available for the Toronto Raptors given the latest reports which makes more sense as to why the Raptors would be locking in on a guy like L we who is the center plays that position but you know the the one guy that you know it’s polarizing people like him they don’t like him but a lot of people that like him really like him great Zach will be off the board so let’s dive into more what people Scouts are saying about Kell W because his first season at Oregon he was very soft he didn’t play hard and he didn’t say much but at Indiana watching his film I feel like he’s played a lot harder than uh what he did at Oregon he’s productive they haven’t won much because of some other guys that they brought in haven’t really worked out but we has held up his part of the deal and has been impactful he’s blocked a ton of shots he’s caught lobs he’s made a few shots and shown he can step away from the basket I think there’s some stuff there that you can work with as a guy who’s going to play hard and become physical so that’s what an NBA executive told hoop site in terms of their scouting reports on uh the potential Raptor future Center where is a very gifted player another executive told hoopsy basically he is he just needs to be more consistent with his effort we’ve all seen the box scores where he has 20 and 10 games where he’s in sing but also the ones where he’s in single digits and points and rebounds like a lot of young big men he needs to find that consistency effort wise on a nightly basis on the NBA if you’re playing 80 two games and hopefully another 16 he’s made some progress under coach Woodson at Indiana but you know the the and we’ve talked about this before on previous vids regarding khle wear and his potential fit on this uh Raptors group if we were to bring him in right kle wear he is a guy that people have questioned his motor have questioned his uh you know Focus locked in effort on the game it goes back to his high school days there’s reports regarding that stuff then at Oregon but at Indiana you’re getting split reviews you’re getting different things here and there but it is improved it has taken a step up and the fact that you know there was Improvement there was that uh you know development in terms of his mentality shown up in the game because he is a talented Prospect a center that is 7 foot athletic you know able to shoot the basketball that is a piece that is a talented basketball player but they’re able to lock in you not be soft not shy away from contact be able to improve on that front as a young player that is very very encouraging for obviously them as prospects right now but particularly the fact that there was that type of leap taken cuz again Center prospects usually develop later than uh you your guards that are coming into the NBA usually more polished because they have to be to compete even at the NCAA level just given their size and stuff guys that clew they take a little bit of time to develop and the Toronto Raptors who are currently in that retooling stage in the organization’s kind of current timeline obviously building around the manual quickly Scotty Barnes RJ Barrett era klew might have a year or two to really get out there on the court make some mistakes develop into a good basketball player and then become as Mike Scotto put it the center of the future for the Toronto Raptors now again we have Kelly oen we have uh who’s going Kelly L is going to be on this team yaka purle more question marks there along that front again we’ve seen stuff about the Raptors interest in trading up in the draft lots of reports coming out about what the Toronto Raptors can do but at 19 if kware is still available I expect him to be selected by the torono Raptors unless there’s like a crazy Prospect that’s falling out there in the ranks but let me know what you guys think in the comments
