One of the worst trades in Magic history completed by one of the worst GMs in Magic history. I still get mad asf when I see this stupid trade.

We have never seen this FO make a buy yet. We’ve only sold. Interested to see what we do tonight moving forward
yesiamheman
Just wanna know what the meetings about this trade were like.

Cutting corners is usually when you trade young talent for a star to win now. This was just a monstrosity and I’m convinced hennigan was doing a favor for presti to get a job in the FO because he knew he was getting fired.

Did Hennigan do anything right
unicorndynasty
Rob was a cancer on the organization.
Residual-Heat
nah this was an obviously dumb trade from the get go. I hated it the minute it happened
TunnelSnakesCaptain
I remember I forced myself to like this trade so much, it was so painful
SweetFranz
I remember loving the Sabonis pick and then being so pissed off that it turned out we were trading for Serge Ibaka of all people.

What a disaster

This really should be investigated…he was hired back by his old team a couple years later.

Fake news
Just because one GM sucked doesn’t mean all big trades are bad
Fit-Structure-9395
The fact that the nba ain’t investigate this inside job is bullshit had it been the lakers they would’ve solved it in no time smh

We shouldn’t have to trade any of our core to solve our issues and take the next step. An Immanuel Quickly or Austin Reeves level offensive player would help solve our biggest issue. If we go after limited offensive players again like KCP we’re dooming ourselves to another below average offense unless suggs steps up on offense or Jett makes a considerable leap
BigBallerBreen
I don’t wanna be that guyyyy, but I remember the narrative around Ibaka being that he might be 3 or 4 years older than we believed… and he was already showing it.
FamousAtticus
That was Hennigans last ditch effort to save his job. He should have never been allowed to make that deal.
