I don’t get all the Clingan love. He’s obviously a big guy and a good interior defender with solid mobility for his size. But offensively, nothing special. Will be a good role player imo. But not who I’d take first overall and def not someone to trade up for.
If this were the 90s, I’d pair him with Wemby for sure. But the Spurs have more pressing needs.
Unless the Spurs are convinced that he’s a Wemby stopper and they’re getting him so other teams won’t have him, lol.

Don’t buy it. The Spurs historically bargain for true centers(not counting #1 picks). Every player in the lottery has a high bust risk so I’d rather take two shots at any of the players available at 4 & 8.
Castle, Carter, Sheppard, Dillingham or Carrington all have games that fit different styles and you can move them around.
I just don’t see the Spurs drafting a player that can only play in one position and one style of offense. They have always gone after slightly flawed tweener guys outside of #1.
