Now I really want to beat them in the playoffs

  2. Not gonna lie Knicks are gonna be really good. We have our work cut out for sure

  3. Jedi_Sith1812

We are just gonna have to hope either Nembhard, Mathurin or (really reaching here) Walker takes that next step.

Knicks are gonna be a problem unless OG does OG injury type things.

  5. Zealousideal-Tax-527

This makes OG their highest paid player now right? Roughly 42.5mil a year is crazy money for OG, but a Hoosier got paid so good for him.

Pacers better be open for business and swinging for the fences otherwise the Hali x Siakam window might not amount to much. Sometimes you have to trade players you love in order to get better. The Celtics traded home-grown heart-of-the-team Marcus Smart and got better. The Knicks traded Barrett and Quickley and got better. It’s time to consolidate assets and flip them for someone with a higher immediate ceiling. We don’t need to be 11 deep, we need elite talent.

I like OG but this is just way too much money for an injury prone dude that has never been an all star.

how does everyone else spend non fucking stop but somehow my team isn’t able to like I really really don’t understand the NBA salary rules worth a shit

  9. Moonman2k1

That’s about 1 million per game that he will actually play for them. 😭

  10. noah_ichiban

Sweet! Not that we were going to get him, but we dodged a bullet! He won’t even make 50 games the way they play.

  11. xcbaseball2003

Dudes about to make like $1M per game. Robbery

  12. CommonerChaos

Randle has to be gone now, right? Can they make the numbers work by the end of the season with all these new signings?

  13. WinterStarlightZone

Bring on the competition. Pacers should be even better as well.

These moves definitely make the Knicks better. Did they overpay? Perhaps. But the roster seems to be a good fit and they’ll be near the top of the East assuming no major injuries.

So can someone explain their current cap space? I’m trying to figure out how far over the cap they are after signing Bridges

  15. DependentAardvark1

Oh Thibs gonna get his moneys worth.

They’ll all be injured again – or finally fed up with the coach and in-fighting.

I just had to look it up. The Knicks had a salary cap of $140 million before signing OG. They are now at 182.5 million and have another 5.6 million to the first two number one draft picks. That’s not including the rest of the guys they still have to sign in order to field a full 15 Man team. I have no idea how they plan on paying everyone. They are likely losing a few more key pieces such as Hartenstein, Burk, and Randle to keep him.

As an IU fan, good for OG. But that’s a lot of money for an injury prone player

  18. thebiscuit91

I can’t wait to see the knicks not make the playoffs next year

  19. This will be one of those bad contracts in year 5 of the deal. Does OG’s game age well in 4-5 years?

  20. Psyren1317

    Barf.

That contract, for a guy who can’t dribble and is hurt all the time makes me nauseated.

And that’s coming from an IU alum who wanted OG on this team and roots for all alumni players. But that contract makes me feel ill. Glad it’s them paying it. Yikes.

  21. Ok_Buffalo598

Knicks are really trying to win a championship with one all star caliber player 🤣🤣🤣

  22. literalnumbskull

How do teams like the Knicks and Celtics afford all of these expensive players and the pacers have to choose between keeping Jalen Smith or Obi Toppin?

  23. AdKey8256

Watch them reach the playoffs with half their roster injured , go out in the 1st round and claim they would’ve reached the finals undefeated “if only they were healthy.”
