Chicago Bulls SOMEHOW Land Matas Buzelis with 11th Pick!
the pick is in ladies and gentlemen in the Chicago Bulls with the 11th selection take Matas buellis the kid from the g-league ignite obviously a Chicago native and honestly I don’t think things could have worked out any better for the Bulls I know that Devin Carter was still on the board which I think would have been a good option for them I know topic was obviously on the board as well which I think could have been a longer term upside given the fact that you know he’s obviously going to miss this season but was projected to be a potential number one pick initially before his ACL injury but pelis he wasn’t even on my radar because I assumed that he was easily going to be going top six top seven Max and that’s why in all of my mock draft boards I did not include this guy thinking the Bulls were likely going to get someone like Cody Williams who ended up going number 10 overall Dalton connect who at the time that I’m recording this still hasn’t been drafted I do think that there would have been some beneficial aspects about Dalton kect given the fact that he’s an incredible shooter the Bulls absolutely need shooting but he is an older Prospect and the Bulls right now based on the direction that they’re going with the trade for Josh Giddy and the idea that this team could be going in a different direction from a youth movement standpoint looking at a rebuild that a player like buellis who’s only 19 with a lot of upside that’s a big win for the Bulls so I’m happy with this pick I’m really excited I would not have expected him to fall this far in the draft I know a lot of the national media Outlets are saying they don’t really like this pick because he’s not really going to be a person that you’re going to be able to plug in and start playing right away he’s more of a project player if the Bulls aren’t going to be able to keep demard de rzan and he walks in free agency or they do a signning trade of some kind potentially trade Zack LaVine this summer at some point I mean now you’re looking at project players that actually make sense and you’re not going to be looking at someone that can come in right away and start contributing because we’re no longer going to be a win now competitive team this is a team that’s looking to build for the future so anyway just wanted to provide my quick thoughts on the bull selecting Matas pelus I’ll obviously have a little more detailed video either later tonight after my kids go down for bed or tomorrow morning you guys let me know what you think let me know in the comments of course as always be sure to subscribe we’re actually almost to 40,000 subscribers by the way so hit that subscribe button love you guys take care we’ll talk soon

I was hoping he’d fall to 11 and was very pleasantly surprised. He needs to work on shooting, but he adds height and athleticism. Love how he’s always looking to disrupt a play. Good pick!

Can’t wait to see this kid get to work. It’s good to see someone who genuinely loves this team and is ready to get to work. Great pickup. Really hope the bulls push towards the rebuilding route. Already have a solid young core and if we push to get and keep our top 10 pick in next year’s stacked draft that would speed up this rebuild and get us back on track rather than us wasting these years being mediocre.
For me, I like the pick, but the biggest thing for me is the front office seemingly is now making moves with a purpose, vision and direction for this team.
