Timberwolves make splash in NBA Draft with Rob Dillingham, Terrence Shannon Jr.

it’s supposed to be a quiet night for the Minnesota Timberwolves with the draft getting underway tonight that is not the case though so we bring in our mod Hicks to explain well with Tim Connelly I feel like you can just never snooze on him he’s always on alert he’s always praying on the next move and he made two great moves tonight Amy and busy night for the wolves and they added plenty of depth to their back court Teran Shannon JR out of Illinois was their most recent pick the 66 Lefty guard is a great pickup can create his own shot but so is Rob Dillingham out of Kentucky drafted eighth out of Kentucky I don’t have to run numbers past you to show you he’s a bucket just look at these highlights he can shoot he can dribble create his own shot and that’s just something the Timberwolves lack late in the postseason and with Mike connley Jr under contract for two more years this is a perfect situation Dillingham gets to learn from some of the game’s best just look at the comparisons coming out of college both connley and Dillingham only played one season while Dillingham got the N with points scored connley averaged more assists and was drafted four spots higher now here’s our Pier Nim on the first round by the Timberwolves round one of the NBA draft is in the books and what a night it has been for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they make arguably the biggest splash here tonight in the first round Minnesota trading up to number eight overall to select Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham the Wolves making the trade with the San Antonio Spurs to move up the wolves are trading an unprotected 2031 first round pick and a 2030 pick swap for the rights to Dillingham the Wolves could very well have the air parent to Mike connley at point guard connley will be 37 years old when the season begins in October and backup point guard was certainly a position of Need for Minnesota in his one season at Kentucky Dillingham averaged over 15 points and nearly four assists per game while shooting over 44% from three also in the first round Minnesota staying at number 27 overall and selecting Illinois teren Shannon so a big night for Tim Connelly and Company here at one of the NBA draft round two takes place tomorrow afternoon Ahad We Appreciate You Pierre now break
