Topic is a guard from Serbia; 2023-24 ABA Top prospect award winner

  2. Razzmatazz_Potential

I don’t hate this pick but I’m not too excited about it

  3. royalewlthcheese

    Another pg!!

So hes got a torn ACL, cannot shoot, is a good playmaker..

    Sounds like giddey..

  4. boombp2726

Good pick for the spot but damn we need big man play more than anything else

  5. Talented_KK

    He’s like 10th SGA’s back court mate.

  6. WooTerry

I wanted a 4, and out of guards available this is very underwhelming.

    Hope he proves me wrong

Excited about it . Love the selflessness of European basketball

  8. Mountain_Fix5438

He is the same player as Giddey…

Love this pick. I don’t think anyone could realistically contribute in a meaningful way next year. I love taking a swing and having it potentially payoff in a couple years.

Honestly, anyone okc picked at 12 was likely going to the g league anyway.

Still hoping Presti makes a trade for a PF/big SF in the off season.

  10. I wish Giddey would have agreed to come off the bench for a couple of seasons.

Hell or highwater Presti is gonna get us a playmaking Serbian. This is high risk or high reward I hope it works out. Really after Cody and Buzelis came off I don’t dislike taking a swing here hope there are more moves for our team though in free agency to address our other needs.

Even Topic looked ticked he was coming to OKC

Just because he’s white and foreign does not mean he is the next Giddey. They are two very different players. 🙄.

Also, outside of a couple guys, this draft is WEAK AF. CDub would have been nice. Edey would have been nice. Klingan would have been nice. Any of those 3 dudes would have had a role next year. But not many, if any, other players would have been expected to contribute at all. M
Topic was a consensus top 5 pick. He will rehab and be able to take time to develop and be healthy. Then he can run the 2nd unit so JDub/Cason don’t have to do so.

This is a good long term pick.

For a big, I think we look and see who will soon be available – MITCHELL ROBINSON. Let’s get him, give him 15 min a game to rebound, get garbage buckets, and beat the crap out of the opposing bigs.

I’m excited about this! He was my #2 prospect before the partial acl tear, and #6 after

I saw a lot of SGA in his game when I was evaluating him (though probably not as good obviously lol).

He was incredibly elite at getting to the rim and finishing in super crafty ways. He also drew fouls at a really good rate for a player as young as he is. Combine that with his 6’7 frame (and sure I get that he has a 6’6 wingspan, whatever) – I thought he had a ton of upside.

FWIW, I had Holland #1 at the time and Stephon Castle #3. My board shook out a bit different as the season went on, but I still rated these 3 quite highly (alongside Sarr). Board is in here somewhere

Searched this dude a while back when I heard he’d be in the lottery and can’t help but to think the first pick Google shows of him looks like Sid from Toy Story

  16. robochub

The thought process might be that we will be able to trade him in 1-2 years for big $$ to get what we need. All hail presti

  17. ccactusjack

Wanted matas badly but Chicago got em right before us

  18. plocman23

How does this dude look 17 and 47 at the same time
