  1. Could have gotten more for the 8th pick tbh but we need to trust the process. Fake spurs fans jump ship already while u still can cuz we dont need that drama once were back๐Ÿฅฑ

  2. So excited for these next few seasons, Castle is a great pick and betting on the future with these future picks where trades are becoming more and more expensive is a great plan looking forward building this team to be a contender, you need a big payload these days to get a great player.

  3. Those people scoffing at fans complaining. This is what being a a fan is about. Of course Brian wright can prove us all wrong and we want to see the team succeed. But his track record right now hasnโ€™t done much and heโ€™s still unproven. The spurs canโ€™t afford to make mistakes or else Wemby will play somewhere else. Even Duncan had Robinson, Manu and Tony had Tim, Leonard had the big 3. We canโ€™t just expect Wemby will be patient with mediocrity. Letโ€™s hope the team can take a leap this year, but they still have so much work to do.

  4. I think the Timberwolves were getting tre or they got him.but then he will come to SA .or they are making room with moneyfor a 3team trade

  5. โ€œAt a point in time weโ€™ll talk about itโ€ lol maybe reading to much into body language but seems like the future picks for the 8th is for an upcoming trade they are looking towards

  6. So in a draft that was supposed to to be trash Wright is a bad GM because he traded him for a chance to draft in a better draft class? Besides if you look at all the videos of the FO during draft nights RC is back there as well. You think if Wright was a trash GM RC and Pop would just let it fly? Apparently you guys donโ€™t know is the history of Pop. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  7. The two 1st round picks from dilly would be used to get a top pg in free agency..Castle will be the big defensive pg to replace the sochan experiment and up size from tre Jones.

  8. Do you realize that the Timberwolves will be hitting the second apron of the luxury tax? This is the most restrictive roster-building rule the NBA has implemented since the salary cap was introduced. Due to this, all their unrestricted free agentsโ€”Kyle Anderson, Monte Morris, and Jordan McLaughlinโ€”will likely be gone, as the team can only sign veterans at the minimum salary. These players were key, ranking 7th, 9th, and 10th in the rotation, which means the teamโ€™s defense will suffer. While Rob Dillingham is an excellent scorer, his defense is lacking; he was a significant part of the Wildcats' 340th-ranked scoring defense.
The other thing is 1st round picks are GUARANTEED contracts. You can trade 1st draft picks way easier than salary for another superstar. Don't be so narrow minded.

    2nd apron luxury tax
-No access to the taxpayer mid-level exception. These teams can only sign players for the minimum.

-No access to buyout players. If a player's salary at the beginning of a league year is above the non-taxpayer mid-level exception, he cannot sign with a second-apron team if he is waived during that season.

-No aggregating salaries in trades. Basically, you can't trade two $20 million players for a $40 million player, or a $40 million player and a $10 million player for two $25 million players.

-No flexibility in matching salaries through trades. Second-apron teams must send out as much or more money than they are taking back in any trade.

-No giving away cash in trades.

-No sign-and-trading your own players in exchange for other players.

-No trading first-round picks that are seven years away. These picks become "frozen," meaning they cannot be traded, and if a team spends more than two consecutive years above the second apron, those picks automatically move to the end of the first round.

  9. I donโ€™t see any reason not to take Cody Williams, Buzelis or Topic with the 8th pick. A peak and swap in 5 years is good if you already have a team filled with talent; current SAS simply lacks both quality and perspective.

  10. Iโ€™m not gonna lie, I really want Bronny on the Spurs. The only reason I wouldnโ€™t want Bronny is his height, but heโ€™s super athletic so it doesnโ€™t even really matter. They got Stephen Castle and heโ€™s defensive minded, a playmaker, with great IQ. Well, Bronny James is defensive minded, a playmaker, with great IQโ€ฆ lol it would be a really good fit tbh

  11. Either you understand basketball and know BW is cooking something up, or youโ€™re a casual fan who just wants to complain

  12. Brian Wright and Brian Wrong appeared. I love the Castle pick but giving away a lottery pick for picks 6 & 7 years away is dumb. If Edwards is still there both wolves picks are gonna be late 20's. Whack!

  13. Another year of "we'll see" Brian. His track record isn't giving me alot of confidence. Until proven otherwise, giving up an 8th overall for no immediate return is completely idiotic when youre already a lottery team.(inb4 "it was a weak draft" excuse) okay I know what everyone's ASSUMING is the spurs are using these picks to trade for a good player, a star. But who the hell currently is looking to offload said player(s) for picks half a decade down the road?! I think to walk away with only 1 player when you had two picks in the top 10, and having clear needs in the current roster is a jackass move. Let's show that the spurs are interested in improving NOW we have a generational talent give him a reason to see the team is IMPROVING.

  14. Gave away a lottery pick for future picks from a team who will highly likely be contenders in 2030. Ant man will be in his peak still at 29! Yโ€™all better be packaging those picks for a bigger move!

  15. We better not have given away an 8th overall just to sign trash like tobias harris. Buzelis was sitting there for us with a rookie contract, MLE are there to sign old dogs to mentor the young pups. I really dont understand what the fuck hes doing and at this point how can any spurs fan trust this guy with next years 1st rounders? To what? Trade em for 2542/2907 unprotected 1st rounders.

  16. Hope they got a trade upcoming if they gave away that 8th pick. Spurs could have gotten a Knecht or Edey, if they do not want Dillingham, pieces that could improve their bench.

  17. This GM ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•

  18. Very smart move trading the number 8th pick. He understands that adding two "hopefully" lottery players would be huge in wemby's year 8 and 9 as they wont be able to add free agent due to wemby's huge potential salary.

  19. I still cant comprehend trading # 8 pick for 2030-31????? I WOULD STILL UNDERSTAND IF ITS 25-26 /27-28 meaning thats a win now mentality , but 30-31 ??? Wemby might not even im san antonio because of lack of help. Better up the ante tre jones/blake westly /castle

  20. Great job Brian to you and your team! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽ‰Always working hard to find the right person. Canโ€™t wait to see my Spurs back on the hardwood. GSG!!!
